i just hit lvl 40 zerker. looking to get a tat, but don't feel like eating the -4 con... i'm thinking that with a +5str -5dex tat i can hit 50 str (with plated leather) and the -5 dex would be a minimal drop in crit/spd/at.spd/eva/acc while the str benifit would be monsterous... the problem is the only data i can find is on [censored].com and it only has delf fighter (which is close to kam but not quite) anyone have any expierence in this that might be able to help me out? also i have a +6 zerk blade (kam version) with foucs... if i lower my dex would keeping the focus be good, or should i swap it to health. any info i get on this is greatly appricated.
I'd say go +CON, but I wouldn't advise you to take str. So you can go + CON - DEX and you'll see that you lose 1 or 2 points in speed and all the other parameters that dex affects (And I do have the cheaper -5 DEX too).

I think they fine just the way they are not going mess with tattos
The ONLY tattoo worth messing with is -dex. - Con is simply absurd, especially if you are willing to PVP. Geez, it's even absurd if you PVE too, you're not a ranger. Arbalesters could get away with it more easily since they're ranged and usually mobs die before they arrive to attack them.
But -CON on a zerker??? Suicidal much.
-DEX doesn't affect speed or crits that much. And the extra HP IS very very useful.
I think unless people play a zerker from level 1 and study all the possibilities, they have no way of checking what's good or not.
Pve u have vr crits so be nicely around 2k with buffs/dances
PvP a zerker wouldnt rlly go head on anyways or any kamaels hit and runs hit hard/disarm and dash or w/e out
Berserkers are not daggers, they can't "rush in, kill smbdy and get out". They can get close to the enemy very fast, but can't get away like TH can. While I'm not playing Berserker, I couldn't immagine one using hit and run tactics. They have no "oneshot" skills.
Maybe in very high levels it would be possibe, don't know.
And DarkWind is partially right. With Hard march, they can attempt to kite (and that would be the only way to win on PvP really... Shoulder charge, disarm, hit hit hit, hard march and start kiting when the enemy isn't stunned anymore, rinse and repeat).
Although past 64, if they're lucky to land blade rush, contagion + crushing pain should two-hit some classes. Still.. they are a melee class, they don't have ANY ranged skills, they can very much succeed in PvP but they need to be smart about using the skills correctly. And either in PvP or PvE, if you have low HP, you're dead meat if you try to solo. Trust me, things get nasty already with +COn tattoos.
Buffed, it's a whole other story. But I don't think we should give advice to people basing ourselves on "how I play with buffs". Not everyone has access to buffs and dances. My approach when anyone asks a question is assume they mean soloing, with no buffs, cause most of us tend to forget that not everyone has a buff box.
didnt say bout kill (eventho u can easy kill mages with violent temper stun disarm and 2 shotting the mage =)) and run its more like stunning ppl disarming or landing what valerie said blade rush violent temper helps too with hard march u can get out easy or even use rush
And low hp for pve aint rlly prob when u can kill quickly and u should have vr anyways
but ye im spoiled with buffers so =P either buffers or ch buffs =)
thanks for all the info guys, while i'm not sure i'll get a +con tat at the moment i'm going to get the +str -dex, when i start pvping later on i'll swap to +con probably. What bout the Weapon SA though? should i swap to haste? or will the Focus SA be even more important since i'm lowering my dex?
Tats are a throw with zerkers (this is purely my opinion), I have +DEX +STR -CON on mine right now (pure PVE set up), and I've found this works well. I didn't put these tats on until mid-B grade though, CON was hit to hard b4 then (again, preference). If you are generally running around with end game buffs you'll do fine with those tats, otherwise you might want to try a +DEX -CON setup (I have a friend who has this atm, he usually uses just a prophet and SE).
-CON will not kill you, if you have VR3 or above, trust me you wont have to worry about it unless your swamped with mobs (generally your [censored] then anyway lol.)

That's the problem.
People forget that not everyone has access to buffs. VR3 is a luxury. So saying -CON won't affect you, and then say "If you have VR3", it's not a very good advice.
Good advice is to think that the person asking is soloing buffless. Go try to solo buffless with -CON. See what happens. It's hard with +CON already.
I think a lot of people got so used to leveling with buffs that whenever someone asks a question, they don't stop to think that that person hasn't mentioned having a SE buffpet or access to buffs.
Cause that makes a whole lot of difference when giving advice.

This is so true and I do that a lot. I need to remember everyone don't have a OOP Buffer. It's ok on my WC cause they can buff but my other alts use my SE WhatMeWorry (http://204.127.198.25/ashleymivida/WhatMeWorry.jpg)
See, this time I'm actually replying to you! Whee ;)
And yes, I am spoiled with a lvl 60 SE myself. But I try not to think of him whenever someone asks for advice, because I know that there are lots of people out there that don't have a buffer following them around.
My experience was like this: +4STR, +5DEX, -9CON, until i get lvl 61. It was good, I had a prophet with me but I agree, its dangerous, i died alot of times (-9CON is almost 900HP >.>'), but the bonus you get is fine to lvl a little faster with buffs support.
After 61? I dropped all my tattoos. The result is: I can solo easly and I resist alot against stun.
Next i will up my DEX at +4 only (best ratio bonus for evasion/accuracy) with -CON and -STR balanced to keep my CON higher.

Well, I'm a very solo person. I don't like partying with people I don't know, and even when I party with people I know (clannies and ally), I get better exp soloing. Generally it's a lot of fun though. But I will NEVER go around saying "lvl 61 Zerker LFP". Or whatever. I just hate random parties.
But I do have a buffer (who used to be my main). Even if I didn't, I think that your statement is a little TOO harsh. There are so many other reasons to say someone's "failing" at L2 than what you said. But I don't really feel like posting them up. Really.
um I have buffs I'm not buff less and I'm a Leader of a Active clan with a Clan hall in a Active ally and well love by most of the dam server and still solo 90% of the time.
I'm no were near failing. I enjoy and love my game so I must be doing something right. :p
Harsh yes, but it just REALLY strikes me as wierd (maybe a little wrong?) when people talk about spending most of their time solo AND buffless in a pvp oriented mmo (yes - despite spending lots of time grinding it's a pvp game. Let's try not to get into that debate lol >.>). I don't understand why you wouldn't play a single player game or something more suited to that play style if that's really what you want to do... But hey if you're enjoying it all good, more power to you.
I'll always set up my tats with a minimum of WC buffs in mind, because I don't pvp without them, and pretty much dont xp without them either. I also played a PP for a fair few chronicles so yeah, I hate to hear DD's and [censored] saying they'd prefer to just solo when I'd be lfg on my PP >.> Sure I'd solo too, but it's not real easy with PP str+dex :p
So yeah basically for me, -CON works even as a kamael for pve with WC buffs min. If you're mostly pveing, going the glass cannon is the fastest way to get up in levels and then you can remove it later if you want some more survivability in pvp. I'm personally a big dex fan - the increases to each stat is small, but it's the amount of stats that gain increases that makes the difference:
+ atk speed
+ accuracy
+ crit rate
+ evasion
+ speed
Speed is fairly crucial to me, both for faster movement between mobs and for catching targets in pvp. I often find 5 or 6 runspeed is the difference between catching someone/escaping from them or not. So yeah, my 2cents!
I like to party and group but I don't like waiting for a party to go hunt. I have 2 many alts 2 sit around waiting for a group so I just go and hunt and they can find me.
Plus it sucks when a few of the people that want party with you are AFK 1/2 the dam time so basically they just leaching.
Just because I solo a lot don't mean that's what I want 2 do. It's how it is because some people suck.
The people I do like party with some times our times just don't cross so mostly have to wait on the weekend to party with them and I play thou the week as well as the weekend. ;)
Hi everyone... I've read the posts and I want to give my opinion... Regardin dyes, it's a very personal issue, depending on your playstyle AND (something no one mentioned before) Your equipment. I like balanced stats while others prefer a more aggresive increase on one (+4 -4) So, you should always plan your tattoos according to the armor set u wear. I play a kamael (SB though) and used a +4STR -4CON with a Theca set, It was so good. The HP were lower, ofc but not that bad, and fast kill. When I got Doom leather armor, the problem began. I was now -6 CON and SRT was from +4 to +3. DEX increased but not worth it. So I decided to remove the tattoo. Now, I prefer a balanced stats set so if I make another tattoo I'll try +2CON +2DEX or +2STR -2 DEX that way I gain in two of the 3 stats. Actually Kamaels have good PVE stats but for PVP strategy is way more important.
Anyway, try to get your tattoos according to the armor set you wear.
BTW I solo 90% of the time and the game rocks! 10% when 4 or more clan ppl are online and the game gets better. Cya!
I got a Soul Breaker now too (I just love those Kammies), and I don't think I'll be touching his stats at all. I was inclined to give him some more dex, but I didn't want to take his STR or his CON, so...
