After reading "Edge" magazine at work today, I came across an article about movies based on videogames, it was fairly interesting stuff, talking about how Doom was a failure whereas Tomb Raider was a success and should the film industry continue to make them etc etc.
At the end of the article it listed numerous movies that are currently in production that are based on videogames. Some notable titles included; The Sims and Gears of War, but more interestingly some MMO titles including; Everquest (2010), World of Warcraft (2009) and NCSoft's very own....... City of Heroes! (TBA [in true NC style lol]) ><
So NC are broadening their horizens into the film industry it seems... they need to make the Lineage 2 short films into a feature length in my opinion! Perhaps it won't be so popular in the Western world... but they could release it in Korea/Japan where the game is very popular, and then I can buy a cheap DVD version with subtitles :)
EverQuest, the movie? I think they missed the boat on this one this should have been released 5+ years ago when the game still had population (mm i loved my EQ).
Didn't they try this already with Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within? It was a dud here in the states. I went to see it and it was a good movie though it was basically a rip-off of FFVII and Aliens.
Hm WoW movie? Is it going to be something like Shrek?
City of heroes sounds like some comic story, I bet it's gonna be similar to Fantastif Four or like.
