78+ solo area for Storm Screamer?

So, where are all you 78+ SS's leveling? Imagine my surprise when I saw the mobs I was grinding on go from green to light blue!

See thats why I went with a Emp. gear setup.
Arcana Robe Set with Imp Staff-Emp.

That way I can just buy the cheap magic haste pots instead
of the $$ emp scrolls. :)

Well, I'm only 77 and hating every minute of the grind. But I moved from Hot Springs to isle of prayer. It's pretty good and a nice change from HS.

Are you 3 shotting mobs there?

I have a 77 SS with arcana set, +3 arcana mace w/ level 2 wind attribute. wind vortex + hurricane, or solar flare = dead mobs. So 2 shot. Most of the lower lvl mobs can 2 shot with hurricane+solar flare

Hmm, that is not what I was finding but I don't have the Wind Stones, so that could be it. I found that on most mobs I could 3 shot using one of the vortexes, the next obvious attack and shadow flare.

I'll have to see if I can get some stones and try it. Thanks.

Sovrath, the wind stones is where it's at mate for IoP. I can two shot the mobs *with Hurricane* there with Emp 3 and Arcana Set ... and I'm only 76!

The secret? 45 Wind Atk on the mace (6 successful wind stones). Adds a pretty huge amount of damage.

I can 2-shot them with DC set and ch buffs, with Prominence :P

Yeah, I've just discovered the Windstone factor. As I couldn't figure out how others were doing it. Suddenly put some Windstones on the weapon and it all makes sense.

I have several on my mace. Some of the mobs I can two shot and some leave a sliver of health. I've taken to using wind vortex and then shadow flare for the overhit. It uses a bit more mana then I would like and is a bit slow. Perhaps a few more stones will allow me to just hit with hurricaine once.

Interesting enough, I've gotten two Fire Stone drops while there. I wonder if wind stone drops drop on the island or if I can only find them inside one of the instances?

Earth stones (=wind stones) drop in the northern part of the island, from Shades - they are spawned by the dark water dragons. It is possible to farm the shades if you have excellent buffs, a live healer with you and know how to do it. If you try it alone and only with clan hall buffs, it's a good place for SP.

I have 110 dark patk on my mace. I can 2 shot with zerk 2+emp 3 all the mobs on my soultaker lvl 76. otherwise I use arcana robes+emp 3

Wow, that must have cost you a fortune ... I already spent 100s of mil on wind stones and they usually fail. I got 6 to succeed out of about 16 attempts :S
