Hey, started last night. Am now a level 15 Kamael Warrior, with the goal of Arablester. Also plan on levelling up a Phantom Summoner as a side job. Don't really know if its customary to look for a Guild/Clan this early in levels....but the Kamael island is completely devoid of any other life at all, think i've seen 3 other high level people just passing by in town =p, and I like to have people to talk to while grinding.
I'm also a very Guild/Group oriented person (almost 4 years of FFXI will do that to anyone I guess), so I like doing stuff in groups and such. So if you're looking for one more future Arablester (plus Phantom Summoner alt) on Gustin, my name in game is Setura.
Well, just a comment...you say your going arbalester, but like to group...except in L2, ranged chars are not very 'party friendly'. At least not outside of an actual party of ranged chars. (mixing melee and range doesn't pan out very well most of the time.)
I've done it before in clan groups, at least in the catacombs/dungeons, so it's not a complete loss. But you definately need to "throttle back" on your damage output to prevent unhappy aggro problems. (And it will never 'mesh' like a normal melee-centric group would.)
I admit though that my Kamael is only L20 (and likely to stay that way for awhile.) So I don't know if their bow damage ramps up as crazy as regular archers do when they pass second class change. (Although I'd be willing to try it just for the hell of it.)
