Identities of statues in towns?

Is Eisenhad, (spelling) in each town or do the statues in village squares and temples represent othe deities/ saints/ server identities?

Hein has one of Eva, and the orc and dark elf both have a staue of their deity in their starter villages.

Is there one of maphyr for example?

There are a lot of statues erected in towns and i'd like to know if anyone had ideas who they might represent. :p
I don't believe there is a statue of maphyr in dwarf village though there is a small temple. Most of the towns are human and as such the church has a statue of Einhasad. there might be a few of Gran Kain but since he's generally considered a dark god he's not too popular with the general public.
I just always thought, if it was Einhasad, she looked quite different depending on the town you went to.

Giran also has that large statue in the square which I'm pretty sure is her but then there is another in the temple.
Very good idea. Isn't maphir's face stamped on each adena coin?
Per the lore of the game, Humans do not know they were created by Gran Kain. They firmly believe (at least, the masses of the population) that Einhasad is their creator.... which could not be further from the truth.
Maphir was a golden statue until a bunch of drunken dwarves out of booze money decided to pawn it a few kegs of ale.
Hence their vilification of him.
Yeah there are those that really stand out as Shilen or Eva in more culturally specific locations (Dark Elven Village, Heine). Einhasad definitely has the majority of statues, one in every human Temple I believe. I do think the one in the Giran square is also Einhasad. And it's especially interesting to note how the statue's design changes from Aden to Elmore, reflecting their different attitudes towards the religion.

From memory, the Elmore statue has a sword drawn, representing the warlike nature of religion in Elmore compared to the more peaceful nature in Aden, or at least a more clear separation between the temple and the military, which is not the case in Elmore (which has a temple that houses the warrior's guild).

The dwarves' lack of a statue most likely reflects their lack of religious nature... their only church institution is practically a swindling business of top notch. Not too many seem to be truly devout to Maphr, however they're out there in quests and lore nevertheless.

The light elves' lack of a statue make me think that creating statues at all is a very human thing to do. Would make since that humans are more of the type to idolize through statues, and elves are ... different.

But the dark elves seem to have the love of making gigantic statues, so go figure. It would make sense to say it's linked to excessive pride.

The orcs have their own statues, but usually of a different style and paying tribute to either the original orc, or Pa'agrio.

I also found it extremely interesting that the major dwarven guild that appeared with the Festivals and Catacombs were named after the biblical demon of monetary greed - Mammon
So Rune.....
Its a demonic town isn't it?... I can't remember the lore exactly.

Is Einhasad there?
She is, and several of the priests in her temple are actual demon worshipers. But yeah that's her. As someone mentioned her statues in elmore are all armed, showing her more aggressive nature while those in Aden have a more benevolent look.

They have a statue of a different kind. The Mother Tree has a face in it.
i think you're a big liar jute.... :p trees have no faces....
dangit! >.< the only time i take my foot out of my mouth is to make room to put the other one in there, it seems...

There are many such comparisons to Judeo-Christian themes throughout L2... the Devs are not entirely uncreative.
That's pretty common in a lot of asian fantasy. Kind of like how we use norse or greek mythologies they use judeo-christian because it's foreign and different.
