This is probably one of my favourite CGI movies from NC ^^
I'm sure a lot of you have seen it, but i really liked it the first time and its still good. ;p

CG is used to speak about precalculated high poly CG, as opposed to Gameplay video (capture of ingame scripted events) and ingame cutscenes.

to elaborate.
ingame footage is rendered real-time, and as such there is a limit on what you can do with it as far as graphics and effects go.
the Cinematic trailers are generated as a video, and then recorded, allowing you to go nuts with all the effects/textures/poly count, it doesn't matter if a computer would take an hour to actually render that if you played it real-time, all it has to be is a pretty video.
