Warlords

Hi,

Just currently got my warlord to level 40 and CC all done but now I'm struggling to find an effective area to level (non catacomb)

I feel like I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place, as I need to be level 43 to get provoke but I need provoke to get level 43.

I've tried Tanor Canyon (me and a bishop) didnt work.
Also been up to Plunderous Plains (east of schuttgart) Mobs to wide spread and very slow exp (but safe)
Cruma tower 1 aoe stun mobs :(
Pavel Ruins seemed a nice spot even thou they where higher level then me, but after a few trains I noticed they had ranged stun!
Beehive doesn't yield enough exp mobs to wide spread
Might go back to ant nest, see if I can get enough exp from them at least there I can use insect weakness buff.

Why does it seem that the catas are the only best place to level. me and my bishop can happily stand in there for hours soaking up the damage and exp, guess I'll just have to wait until Monday before I EXP again.

I Also wanted a bit of advise on tattoos for a WL from what I've played of my char so far I find the base stats pretty balanced but is it worth getting a bit more 'Dex' for run and atk speed? if I did got '+dex' I would most likely '-str' this a good idea or not?

Also equipment...

B Grade - BW + Lance [Crit Stun] or would anyone disagree?
A Grade - Majestic + Tallum Glaive [health]
or
A Grade - Maj + Halberd [Crit Stun]

Any information would be great!
Thanks
When you get to mid-to-high 40's you are going to LOVE Tanor Canyon. After Tanor it will be Skyshadow Meadow. Provoke / Thunderstorm / Whirlwind / repeat.

Unfortunately you have a Bush and not an SE or EE. You are going to use a LOT of mp and Recharge is very nice to have.

You should be in Branded as you can take it. Frankly, I'm sick of Catas and one thing Warlords do almost uniquely thanks to Provoke and the multi-360 attacks is "field pole."

I would NOT tattoo. IMO, the Warlord is pretty well-balanced for the task. The gear you list is what I have/had. The Halberd's Crit Stun is a nice % and FAR cheaper than the Tallum Glaive.

Before you can do Tanor, my recommendation (other than Branded) would be to try the Timak Outpost orcs. Be very careful w/ the Troop Leaders as they summon a whole group, but you should be able to AoE them OK, just slowly build up what you do there.
Sky wargon relic 6 mobs i think in 1 grp rlly nice spawn (near plunderous plains btw)

get holyweapon
Alligator island first part...great AOE spot.
Yeah I'm hitting a problem here myself, with my lvl 48 Warlord, Branded's all blue, the second level of Branded are High Pdef mobs (which is a pain to be honest), Worshippers has the freaking stupid livionas, which makes it unpoleable...

Bear in mind I'm leeching a Warcryer and a Bishop, and they're all 48... I don't think I can handle Apostate just yet, and Patriots also has the high pdef-stun mobs in the first room...
Try the back of Worshipers.

Level 51 Weak P.def mobs, plus 47/48 support staff.
At 48 you should definitely give Tanor Canyon a try.

You mean the very far back, Ashane? If so, I'm yet to go back to that point... I went up to the second level and there are the high p.def mobs that are always a pain if you're polearming.

Edit: I just realized the ones you're talking about. Hmm... wonder if the Lilim Magus would manage to sleep me too much... hm.

But then again, if they're 51+, I might as well just try Apostate.

And would Tanor Canyon give me enough to level three characters? I know catacombs do.
Yeah the back.

Its the same mobs really as the front of the next upper catacomb.

Works that way all the way till 70, when all of a sudden there are only two cat's with the 70 weak p.def mobs.

Tanor might be ok. We use to do mage AoE there, as there is this collection of rocks in the middle of the zone near the N side that creates a natural "funnel point", which isnt half bad.

Similar rocks are scattered around the zone as well, but none so good as the three together that I've seen. (creates a natural "V")
I recently leveled a Warlord to group with my sisters SE. At level 46 in Tanor Canyon we are getting about 15-17% in twenty minutes.

As noted by Tavi 1/2hp mobs are literally made for warlords. I Provoke a group of monsters, and then fire off Thunderstorm/Whirlwind. With these two 360 moves you instantly kill a group of 12-20 mobs. They spawn really fast, and there is no need to try to "group them" like in conventional pole arming as done in catas. This is very mana intensive though (also noted by Tavi,) you will be using roughly 160mp per group you kill, and having Recharge can make this tactic succeed or fail.

Anyhow, I hope this cleared up the method involved in field poling a little. There is no need for bottlenecks, or dragging mobs into a right angle. Doing your three-hundred-sixty degree moves kills everything around you (Tanor Chiefs might survive your attack with 50-100hp left, and may require one hit to finish off.)

Anyhow, best of luck.
I take it Warlords level very fast?
Ancient BattleGround is a good home for you around +/- 60 to 70+, after that pole the deers and bandersnatches in Walls of Argos till around 75+ / 76+ (animals <3) ;)
i need any good spot for 68 soon (for pure solo) any good spots ?? ABG is ok but boring solo... and max 4 groups with GHP only

Any BARTZ WL here ???
A well known Warlord on Bartz would be Cogency, not sure if he still plays...
