I've been updating and revising my personal notes on various quests as I hit them up now and again. And this one came up with a few new changes. (Although not for the better!)
I even did a brand new spreadsheet to review the various numbers, but since the forums don't handle picture or table data too well I went back and just updated my old notes since those were in text format. So without any further introduction here's the text notes...I'll comment in the follow up post.

SUpplier of Reagents (Quest)
-Magic Trader Wesley, Ivory Tower SHopping area
-L57 Quest (Version 2.0 of this summary)
************************************************
Base Reagent Materials (From Mobs)
------------------------------------------------
Wyrms Blood
Lava Stone
Moonstone Shards
Rotten Bone Pieces
Infernium Ore
Demon Blood
1)It's a Level 57 quest, you start at Trader Wesley in the lower level of the Ivory Tower.
2)The mobs you kill for it are located in the Tower of Insolence and Blazing Swamp. (Plus whatever crossover you get with the infernium ore and the other Aden quest/bingo...I'm not sure if the two 'Infernium Ore's' are completely the same or not...)
3)Some mobs drop pouches/boxes that open up into various components.
4)You take all the parts back to the Ivory Tower, and there is a 'Mixing Urn' across from Wesley that is used to combine the base materials into higher level materials. Not unlike the Coin of Magic Quest. Although here, you can 'Mix with Higher Temperatures' instead of 'Gambling' although I'm willing to bet the chances of getting 'more' is about the same. (And given L2's chances of anything, hence why I never bother with that...)
5)Take the finished materials you mixed, back to Wesley and trade them for items.
Overall the process is fairly simple...but you can see this is clearly a old quest, as the number of items needed for mixing is outright ludicrous for many items. The worst offenders are the consumables....like 10 Alacrity potions?!
It's been awhile since I hunted mobs that dropped items for this quest, but from what I have in my WH and remember from those times, the drop rates on items doesn't match up with the amount of materials things require. Although a couple of the single A grade key materials are probably cheaper here than playing bingo and getting only a single mat. (Although with time, it's not the key mats that people don't have enough of!)
Looking over everything, everything looks awfully horrible, like assembling a full set of TOI blueprints or Giant's cave books.
There are a couple of things that look 'do-able' though. That being the complete Zubei and Avadon gloves/boots, and the 60% recipes for Doom and Blue Wolf.
For the Avadon and Zubei, the full items are only 2x the cost of the 60% recipes, and the amounts are not just doubled amounts, but additonal materials. Kind of like how in B grade, 60% recipes don't require the highest level molds and holders. (Glue, Hardner or Lubricant, etc.)
The Full Doom and Blue wolf gloves and boots however, seem to have been greatly changed since the last time I went over this quest. Instead of 1 Nightmare Oil for each it's now 4! Compared to the cost of the recipes, the new cost for the full items is ridiculously outrageous. You'd be better off getting the 60% recipes 4x and succeeding one than going for the full item trade.
Overall though, nothing else has changed with this quest. (At least the quest text doesn't show any new mobs to kill or items to trade for or mix.) And by the time you can do it, your better off saving most of the items you get for the other quests that need infernium ore or Moonstone shards. (I think 3rd class, and subclassing require those?...plz comment if you know.)
As there is so much text, it would emphasise the changes if you highlighted them. many people are truned off by that amount of text, no matter how well it is laid out. Just an observation.
I didn't actually believe that anyone used that quest for items, I never did in the 3 1/2 years that I played.

subclass, noble (hellfire oil, lungeants), and 3rd class.
and the amount needed is ludicrous. at 74/75 there are more important things one should be doing then forced to hunt blazing swamp for a low chance at getting palches, which may or may not give you what you need.
only one thing missing; what quest item does each mobs give? :p
I'm still leveling a WC at lower levels as well as a couple other characters in that same range (C grades) , so I don't have time right now to hunt the mobs for this quest long enough to re-verify the quest drops for the mobs yet.
But, here's the information from the other online reports. Of which I do remember the Hames Orc Shaman info is mostly correct. Complete? That I'm not sure. I haven't done enough of opening the various pouches (or in memory) to say if thats all you can get.
[Tower of Insolence]
Crendion: Unknown
Hallate's Maid: Brown Reagent Pouch
Hallate's Guardian: Demon's Blood
Platinum Tribe Shaman: Brown Reagent Pouch
Platinum Guardian Shaman: Reagent Box
[Pouches and Boxes open up to one of the items on the lists here]
Grey Reagent Pouch: 2 Volcanic Ash, 2 Quicksilver, Lava Stone, Moonstone Shard
Brown Reagent Pouch: Infernium Ore, Rotten Bone Piece, Sulfur
Reagent Box: 2 Blood Root, Infernium Ore
Looking at that list, it sure seems like there are very few mobs that give the quest items. And given the huge amounts needed, that's a exceptionally short list.
I have found that the drop rate of the pouches from the orc shamans is really quite good. Hunting all the mobs in the shaman areas (so less than half the mobs I kill are shamens) I end up with about 45-50 pouches in an hour.
Ive been hunting Maid's a while now and all i came up with, was just pouches.
No grey nor brown and they all opened into Quicksilver, Volcanic Ash, Moonstone and Lava Stones.
Did they change the drops on that quest and if so, who drops the brown pouch(except from the shaman)
the 'grey' and 'brown' part of the name got silently removed. those pouch are now all just called 'reagent pouch' but they still look slightly diffrent ;)
