I have a few questions about attribute stones for mages. I'm sure this will apply to all, but I'm a sps.
Anyways,
1) How does it work since mages dont use p.atk. I've heard you use the same element (SPS = water) and then enchant skills with it ... This correct?
2) I'm only 73 - but have my Arcana Mace with Level 2 Water ... how can I enchant my skills with water attribute? Do I need seperate stones? Do I need higher level? Does enchanting skills decrease the level on the weapon? Can I only enchant skills with armor attributes?
If someone could please take the time and let me know how this works, I'd be greatly appriciative!
Dont OE hydroblast for water element.... it will give you very very minimal damage increase even with stones. Most likely bugged. Im waiting to see what fix they apply to the weaken water element OE (fix text bug, or fix skill effect bug), and see whether they fix the element OE before I OE hydroblast. Stick to power if you really want to OE it.
Pretty sure in pvp Surrendering helps Vortex land, which then means u can instantly crusher and also aka more damage if no crusher, so still imo worth using

Not with 100+ resists no.
Surrender is just a - resist tag. Thats all it does. However, your already overwhelming their resists by such a factor that you simply cant do it anymore.
That is of course if the enemy is not buffed for your particular element... or has more resist then 50 if you are at 150ATR.
i just wanted to point something out for some people that seem to have the wrong idea about what the skill enchant weaken element actualy does.
first if your wep is at 150 it doesnt actualy do any more damage past 100. But if the person you are attacking has 50 resist of that element it will bypass there resist making it pointless to surrender them.
At 76 + if a mage is to enchant skills for elemental weaken water, fire, wind they dont get additional damage on there attacks even if they have no elemental stones on there wep
cause it doesnt do a surrender affect like most people think it doesnt reduce there elemental defence in any way.
What it actualy does is remove some of there elemental attack atribute. So if 1 sps enchants its hydro blast to +9 elemental weaken water then hits a another sps its elemental attack atribute water will be -17
does it not make a difference when you have at least 100 attacking and they have 0 defending?
Yes to that part.
100 Attacking 50 Defending - fire off the debuff.
100 Attacking 0 Defending - no point
150 Attacking 50 Defending - no point
150 Attacking 90 Defending - fire off the debuff.
What happened to 25-145 P.Atk ... Same **** damage
Tried it on the PTS ... If someone wants to test out again, plz do so see if you get the same results ... I hope so cause these results absolutly suck!
Edit:
PVP Dmg:
1356 No Dark - 2137 With 150 P.Atk Dark (58% Increase)
(Didn't test 20-145 here)
With 150 holy on a +3 Icirus, shots and seed I critted for 51k using Solar flare. That is without any armor bonuses or outside buffs. Of course it was a light blue Varka mob but hey still suprised me.
i heard they provide only dark (=divine) stones for new PTS toons w/o any relation to its race/prof etc. so user must get stones by themselves from IoP or hellbound. confirm? -_-
What it actualy does is remove some of there elemental attack atribute. So if 1 sps enchants its hydro blast to +9 elemental weaken water then hits a another sps its elemental attack atribute water will be -17
This is true. I have an open bug complaint with NCSoft. They indicate that the desciption above is true, and that the ingame skill desciption is wrong.
Hopefully they will eventually +1 weaken wind (to Hurricane) with +1 power. Right now they are just holding the complaint open. I guess they want to be absolutely sure.
