Probably another 6, Longest I've been in 1 MMO was 6.5 years and that was Anarchy Online, next longest was EvE Online at 2 years, so far only been in L2 for 3 months and it feels like one of those MMO's i could stay in for a good 6-8 years and still want to play.
About a week, maybe a little more. Account expires then.
same here, been playing (= killing the same mobs) for 2 years on official.
unless they make an high rate server i wont come back, that grind is boring. only funny thing was raiding on low lvls.

Sounds like NC will have to come up with something to stop competing with itself, perhaps they can offer us a discount to pay for both L2 and aion :P
A lot of people are waiting for aion with too much hype, the game looks very pretty and all but it doesnt seem to have that L2 feeling to it. I doubt Aion will be a good enough game to make me give up L2, though Ill certainly will play it L2 will be it until L3 is out :P

I'll third it but it all comes down to the next beta test, so far from what ive seen from my friends on the current Korean beta its very wowish. and i just dont like wow's play style.

Well IDK, I'll probably keep my L2 acc active... Test out Aion, see how good it is. If I like as much as I think I will, I'll cancel.
If its not as good as I think it will be, I'll play it till that acc expires. I've got a good thing going on here.....so who knows.

Well, it is meant to be a more casual game with seemingly more compartmentalized play. Also more quests which would be a nice change from the whole grind thing.
And quite frankly, I just don't want to spend hours upon hours playing a game (or even worse, dealing with making money in a game which I find tedious.
I use this game for relaxing and fun. I have set myself a goal of being noblesse, and when that is done, my next goal is to become 77+ perhaps on main and first sub.
After that i'm not so sure what my next goals are, but if it's still fun i guess i will play it more. :)
I *hope* to play for at least another 17 years, I am edging towards the 4 year mark now. I guess if an asteroid hits my part of the Earth or if I tumble over from a heart attack then I might play less than 17 years. But, Lord willing, I intend to be online when the servers go down for the last time. I expect to cry at that moment, too.
Well... Right now all I can't really afford to pay for it. Money issues that have been dragging from last year on and still are unresolved. If I can afford, it's only 1 account. But that put aside...
I guess I'll stay until I find another game that captures me that much. And trust me, I've been looking, but none so far :(

I have 3 days left on my main account. My wife's account expired 2 weeks ago, and my 3rd account is only staying active until I can dole out some of my gear. I may or may not come back depending on if I get more free time and if future updates look promising.

I think I have another year in me. Maybe. Work has really taken up what little free time I once had. Not complaining, because I've seen the news and I know people are losing jobs and homes with tragic regularity. But if the current work pace continues, I'll be paying just to post in the forums only.

Everyone is waiting for Aion. You just know we're going to bump into the same cast of characters over there. Let's hope it lives up to the hype.
I'm starting to think that they should just repackage L2 as something else. Keep the graphics, change the grind, add more quests and GM interaction. Hell, maybe even have the developers create truly random once a week quests that encourage you to go out and see the world. Mob ambushes would be nice for a change, instead of players ambushing mobs. And how about creating synergy bonuses, so that the damage that players deal while in a group of 5 or more is quadrupled? Sure, you still have to kill a bazillion mobs to level, but you won't age like rings on a tree stump doing it.
Me and my accounts will stay as long as our clan stays, that's the only reason I'm even playing anymore(and the fact there is no other game that can compete with L2, yet..).

So far L2 has my soul, and I have yet to find another MMO to transfer it over to. Although I hate L2 I can't just leave, so I'm really hoping Aion is everything and more so I can be rid of L2 FOREVER!
I´m pretty disappointed by the change of course of my main class and from what I`ve seen in PTS so fal looks like I have bet in the wrong horse for a sub... My friends are the only thing that keeps me playing but they are also pretty upset by NC favoring big clans instead of small ones... my clan already disbanded half of then quit the other half is not too exited with the idea of joining a zerg... Maybe CT1.5 launch will be the end for the remaining of us
I think that I have already stopped playing. Cancelled the remaining 5 accounts this morning. Managed to catch three of them in time (renewal in the next couple of days) but two run until the end of April.
After that, I will watch these forums in case something happens in the NA market that tempts me back. However, I don't htink that is very likely so I may have just thrown the towel in a month or so short of 4 years in. That's enough for parole I think. Have fun you guys.
