Scavenger Hunt for Newbies: Lionna
A coalition of Lionna players have sponsored a Newbie Scavenger Hunt event on Lionna—to get your interest, to provide some in-game rewards for newer players, and to have some fun.
This Newbie Scavenger Hunt event is open to anyone although it would be most beneficial to truly new players to the game who are willing to play a character on the Lionna server.
The Event will begin on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at 7pm EST. and will close Monday, April 14, 2008 at 10pm EST.
The outline of the Event is as follows:
• At any time after the beginning of the Event, interested parties can Private-Message the following parties on the Lineage 2 Main Forums (spudnik, physics4ever, valerierose, drakkosIV) to receive a list of “Location Clues” (Lionna players may also pm Varnak, drakkosV, spudnik, kiroth, in-game to receive the “Location Clues” list). Location clues lists will not be provided before the event start time!
• At each location in the list is a single hidden item. It may be under a bridge, on a high off-the-beaten path landscape feature, etc. The player would pick up the item NOTING ITS LOCATION IN THE GAME. For the most part the items are various no-grade quest items and other game implements of little or no in-game sales value. (eg: a chapel key)
• Contestants would puzzle through the clues to collect as many items as possible.
• At the conclusion of the Event, players will pm/contact IN-GAME (varnak, drakkosv, spudnik, keavra, kiroth) to turn in all items collected in person.
• The Event coordinators will verify the item against the master location list—and ask contestants to disclose where exactly they found the items in the game.
• The contestant/player with the most items will win 1st prize, the second most items turned in will win the 2nd place prize, and so on.
• The “Prizes” are intended to be of value to newer players specifically. Top NG weapons, 500,000 adena, Good D-grade armor/robes, etc. There are no prizes with a value of more than 1,000,000 adena at current server prices.
• A contestant/player may only win one prize.
• ONLY contestants/players who were given a “Locations Clues” list may turn in items—and items must be turned in by the same toon that actually received the “Location Clues” list.
• The decisions of the panel of judges/coordinators are final and they reserve the right to solely determine the winners and to validate items turned in.
• The judges/coordinators will not “clarify” clues to contestants/players in any manner.
We hope that if you are new to Lineage 2 that you will consider playing on Lionna! It is an excellent community with competitive opportunity and supportive, established players.
If you have already begun to play on Lionna and have a main or alt toon that you want to enter in the contest we would love to meet you as well. The items will generally be able to be retrieved or found by players of any level—although given the nature of the hunting zones even in starter areas, it is obvious that care may be required for very low level toons when moving to and from items (for instance, a level 6 mage toon may have to move carefully through areas where monsters are aggressive and level 15!). The event coordinators have tried to choose locations that a level 10 character could move to in order to retrieve an item.
This event is not intended to require many hours of game play (so that it won’t seriously impede efforts to level). Even running to various locations it should be possible for participants to find multiple items over the course of an hour.

(So, participants will receive a list of CLUES--not a list of items or specific locations!)
Please join us on the Lionna server on or after April 8th if you are new to Lineage 2. Players from major clans and alliances on Lionna are working together to sponsor and coordinate this Event.
