Deathspike-Enchant Dark attack

General Discussion Started Last reply 9 posts
so far I have done testing with divine protection and unholy resist

deathspike (+1 add dark attack) is doing the same damage as my vamp claw(+1 add hp back..or something like that)

what exactly is this enchant supposed to be doing? Is it bugged? any input is welcomed-as is any further testing that was done.

Thanks,
~Z
My guess is use it with an S grade weapon socketed with dark stones.
From what Ive heard on blah, hydroblast with water enchant does pretty much the same damage as without as well (even with a lot of stones)... so yeah.. bugged perhaps?
I +2ed my solar flare for holy attack, and there was a difference (I tested with/without holy weap, and my target had/didnt have holy resist buffs, and for all cases, there was a dmg increase, although none as big as if Id OEed with power).
Well since the damage increase with stones is from 0 till 100 I assume it as if you add a few element power to your weapon. If your weapon exceeds 100 attack element then you wont notice any difference at all.
At least thats how I understand it.
If this anything like the Sorc Skill, that Enchant does nothing for Damage. It adds a Debuff effect that has a Chance to land during a Nuke, which reduces the Attack Attribute of the one you Nuked. The Sorc one @ +3 did something like -16 Fire Attack.
I looked here

http://lineage2.stratics.com/wiki/Storm_Screamer_Skill_Enchants

for enchant info. The dark enchant is not really explained, but we see that +1 to power still leaves you at 108, which is the same as +0. I suspect that +1 to dark enchant does nothing. You probably need to get to +2 to see anything.

The main problem is that skill enchant descriptions are often wrong, and if correct, are poorly and inconsistently worded.

It would be nice if we had a sticky post explaining just what the various elemental enchants actually do. This is something the GMs can test and verify using the PTS. Then we could have a list of which enchants weaken your opponents attack power, etc.
if this you mean 'enchat element attack" option, it adds +10 attribute value to the counter at initial enchant. so i think it adds +3% more damage. people say this add much less at further successful enchant levels.

actually my character has no 'element attack' option for skills enchants, so i can't check and say more than i saw on some shots.
So best option so far is to enchant spells for power and use attribute stones?

Have to be careful there. I have an SH subclass. The "weaken element wind" enchant (on Hurricane) will weaken my opponents wind attack. This may be useful if I fight another SH, but that has never happened. Other people may find this skill very useful.

In addition, some of the other element enchants may be useful, if we could trust the skill desciptions.

To be honest, I don't trust any of the skill enchant descriptions related to element. I am sure some of the descriptions are correct, but which ones? We have no list from NCSoft that explains these skills. I would be happy to see even a partial list, if it was 100% correct.
