Just in case any of you wonder what I've been doing with my time, I thought I'd let you in on what I've been slaving over.
Over the last several months I've been traipsing all over the lands of Lineage II gathering pictures of every mob and zone. Lineage is full of beautiful and stunning artwork that we rarely take time to appreciate. I wanted to have a place for people to take a closer look at some of that beauty.
In order to do so..I created the Bestiary.
Please be aware that I know things are far from complete. Unlike many fan sites, this one basically has a staff of one. It's run out of my own pocket, with no donations and is built one lunch break at a time, since I have a regular job.
I've taken over 2,500 screenshots and have done skeleton entries for most of them. Work is being done daily on the entries and will continue to be done. I have donations of screenshots from a few people for places I'm unable to explore.
I debated lots on whether or not to release it before it was finished, but I wanted some feedback on it so, I figured I would go ahead and put it out there.
I want to thank everyone who has helped me so far... you know who you are!
this is great.
well done!
imho NCNA should reward such efforts.
and i dont mean something expensive or valuable but maybe an ingame item, non tradable (like sayha's mask but more unique and free of course) that will declare the devotion of a player.
Just wanted to chime in and say that I've enjoyed my contribution to this, however tiny it is. But this is a concept that I've wanted to see someone realize for a very long time, and so it makes me feel all tingly in my insidey parts to see how much effort and love Jute has channeled into it.
It's nice to know that of the many appeals this game holds, that visuals are still part of that for some.

I just want to point out that your contribution is not small :) It's huge!
The beautiful screenshots and the drop info on what we have is wonderful!
Also might want to use certain other place to cross refrence the drops that are missing.
Raid bosses and epics are being added as I get them. I do have a shots of some and I'll keep going until they are complete. I must not have hit your favorites :)
Awesome! Always wanted to see something like this, yay Jute :) Let me know if you need any hard to get shots too, sometimes the really tall mobs are hard to get :)

Actually, yeah.. if there are some shots you need and I can get them let me know. Good job. ;)
Thanks for all the comments and especially thanks for the offers of shots. I can use most anything from Hellbound since what I have from there is very small. Also, any raid boss you don't see or any mob that does transformations, I could use the shots of them transformed.
Also, I know Ellie has some great shots of the landmarks of the world, any of those would be appreciated.
I can use information on what is aggressive and what is social and any quirks in fighting things.
And although I made this as a labor of love, I do want it to be a community resource so let me know what you want that's missing. Obviously drops are something people want and if a drop list is ever released I'll have something comprehensive, right now I have the work JasonM has done on them.
Anyone who has information they'd like included, please make sure it's your work and not someone else's. And I'll be very happy to credit you. Just send stuff to (Jutestories at gmail dot com) after you convert that to a real email address. ;)
I've gotten some contributions of some of the new mobs. (Thanks EllieBelly and JasonM!) As we know the same skins are often used over and over again on mobs (and BOY do I know after taking so many screenshots). So it's nice to see some new ones.
