Schuttgart and Giran

Actually Giran is the center of all the trades and is the only town with low level taxes because the other places don't bother as for instance in Schuttgart you'd need like 1% taxes to compete with Giran.

But this is not true, Dwarven Village depends on Schuttgart taxes and you can get soul and spirit ore under Giran prices very easily. That represent millions of adenas a day.

So if you own Schuttgart with your ally why don't you give it a try?
its the same with Oren.
Yes but orc and dwarven villages are the cheapest when it comes to 0% taxes.

actually if both Aden and Oren set to 0 tax, i believe DE and LE village would also be the same price.
Correct, every newbie starter town. (Kamael included, so this includes Aden too, not like Aden would set 0% but still)
No check on PTS soul ore 277 in DE Village, and 275 in Dwarven Village.
Dwarf village and Orc Village Nation's captial is Rune not Aden

LE Human DE and Kamael captial is Aden

LE/DE connected to Oren
Orc/Dwarf is Shuttagart
Kamael is Aden
Human is Gludio

No check on PTS soul ore 277 in DE Village, and 275 in Dwarven Village.

Check Kamael.
Alright it seems to be changed, it's 287 everywhere I've checked. But it used to be 275 at Dwarf Village.

Yes, use to be.

Reason was Dwarf and Orc village (at the time) were not aligned to any castle.

Once they aligned, they got the taxes just like every other starter village.

We did that on Hindemith. With Giran taxes at, I dunno, 10% or so, whatever the other clans chose, and our Schuttgart taxes at 2%, spirit/soul ore was noticeably cheaper in dwarfen village than in Giran. End result was that many players bought huge amounts of ore in dwarven village for personal use or resale in Giran for a profit, and the tax income in Schuttgart was actually quite nice (as opposed to totally sucky when you set Schuttgart tax to 10-15% and nobody ever buys anything except the occasional SOE).
Thing is though, at 2% you need a lot more traffic to earn the same as with 10%

And if Giran gets competitive, they can just put their taxes at like 4%, still make money, but completely ruin it for the other castles.
When I craft i buy like 10k soul ore and 3k spirit ore a day, it is average.
One Erica, there is one clan at least that when they get Dion they set taxes pretty low and the clan that holds Giran almost always taxes at 15%. Dion then ends up being cheaper and I buy all my supplies there (ores, SoEs, etc.).

I like it when that clan gets the castle. :)

Well, thing is the clan who held Giran was greedy and people mass bought ore in dwarven village. Average tax income (i.e. excluding money from manor) during those weeks was about 5m per day, compared to pretty much nothing at all when we had taxes set higher. When the price is the same as in Giran, nobody will bother going to dwarven village. Same if the price is only very slightly lower than in Giran. You need the lucky situation that Giran taxes are high, so that it actually becomes interesting to buy ore and resell it in Giran for the lazy people who craft their shots on the private craft shops there. In our situation, soul ore was like 290 in dwarven village and around 320 in Giran. So people bought huge amounts of ore, freighted it and resold for around 300-305 in Giran.
And Yay! to the nice owners of Schuttgart on Hindemith during that era.

The current owners I very much hope go down this next cycle because they are greedy <bleepers> and I hope they are infested with parasites (because they are botters too and that is Dante's fate for botters - parasite infestation.)

Indeed the 0-2% Schuttgart taxes made me create an alt toon in Orc Village to do nothing more than ship Soul / Spirit Ore to my crafter in Giran. (Course Giran currently has happier taxes thanks to a smarter clan holding it.)
think this will change in CT 1.5? When rune and aden get low cgrade in their shops and they will basically be identical to what is for sale in giran besides the luxury shop?
Instead of looking at everything in terms of what you "wanted to do", it is sometimes helpful to open your eyes and adopt a "where is there opportunity" perspective.

If a usually "low" town has its castle occupied by the greedy, freight the highest demand items from a lower town and sell in their shops slightly under the 'greedy price'.

I've done it many times. Take the soul ore that is cheap to inflated Giran and sell it outside the Grocer in Giran--you can sell 10's of thousands of them.
Same with shop-sold consumables in hunting towns. If Oren owners raise prices to silly levels, take TONS of consumables to their GK and open a sell shop (having bought them at cheapest location). It's a nice little margin generally.

On Lionna there is a group that sometimes offers 2% Giran taxes on Tuesdays---that's a pretty fair time to buy 10,000 consumables or 100k ore's to store for a rainy day. If you use them you have saved a few adena--if you sell them at a location where some idiot set 20% taxes you'll make a pretty fair profit.

Most player-controlled economic decisions create opportunity for others. You have to be prepared and do the research and put in a bit of effort to capitalize on them.
What if you could sell 500,000 soul ore at 10a profit? Worth the time for most lower level/newer players?
The great thing is you don't have to be high level and subclassed with 500m adena in your WH to try these things!!
I just noticed beast shots don't follow the same rules than the other shops. in Hunter Town with 15% taxes it only costs 27 when it is 26 in Giran with 11%. It stands for all pet items of course.
HammerStrike needs to retake Giran - I miss 2% tax Tuesdays :( Last Tuesday before they lost the Castle I spent 600mil on consumables. I usually spend 200 - 300mil on ore and I'm just one dwarf. If I can get ore for 1a lower I'm there as the volumes I buy makes it worth it.

I would imagine that having the lower tax rate would make the castle lord more adena in the long run. They will have my business.

Giran can undercut everyone, Schuttgart can compete with Giran if Giran's taxes are not too low. Oren is often lower if Giran and Schuttgart taxes are higher. Only a few times have I seen ore cheaper in Dion or Heine. (This is on Lionna) But I guess it all comes down to who holds the Castles and their business sense.
