The item in the Warcry interview was the 4th Anniversary Edition, not the Collector's Edition. They're actually separate. The Anniversary Edition will be sold in North America
OMG, I want this and not for the collector stuff. For backup in case I have a hard drive failure. I am on ISDN lines and right now I have all the zipped updates from C4 (last collectors box that I saw retail sold in the US) on DVD's. Downloaded 3+ GIGS takes...count 'em...72 hours. Sheesh
Buying and having it delivered to the U.S. means nothing. You can buy Japanese video games through Japanese online stores and have them delivered to the U.S. The problem is that Japanese video games won't play on (most?) U.S. consoles.
Good luck buying this collector's edition and fooling NC Soft Europe to believe you're a European customer but living in the U.S.

You can purchase the European Collector's Edition here (http://eu.plaync.com/eu/store/item/lineage_ii_collectors_edition/) (this is the same URL in the original post). There are a few things that North American players need to know before purchasing the European Collector's Edition. It does cost quite a bit more than the North American 4th Anniversary Edition because of all the extras it comes with, and it is very limited in quantity.

The codes that come with the European Collector's edition (game time and retail) are Europe-specific. If you are not in the European region, you will not be able to use the codes. The discs themselves are not region-specific, so you can use them to install the game regardless of where you are.

I did order the euro edition and live in the US, I wanted all of the added stuff that the US edition does not have. Got an email today saying the Collectors Edition is on its way to me :). I hope we can use the codes or I will be stuck getting the US version to get the ingame stuff :(

i have ordered the collectors edition on 10th April and still didn't recieved the email about dispatching the thing... but an ugly email saying :

There are no plans to create a North American Collector's Edition at this time. We will be launching the 4th Anniversary Edition for North America on April 23rd, 2008. This does come with the same in-game items as the European Collector's Edition.
I got the package today, but I can't activate it (it says "Serial not active"). In the package it says that there will be some info about the free server service token, but I can't find any.
The box products and all associated codes cannot be used until April 23rd, 2008. If you get the Collector's Edition or 4th Anniversary Edition before then, you got it a little early. ;) The free and/or discounted service token is part of the registration process. It’s online, not printed, and is directly tied to your retail serial code. We'll have a page for entering those codes on the 23rd.
Can the items be traded? (referring to in-game items)
No. They are no-drop, no-trade, no-sell.
Are the in-game items for one character per account only, or for all characters?
The unique in-game items (the Black Half Mask and the Pig Lollipop) that come with the Collector's Edition and 4th Anniversary Edition retail boxes are good for one character only. The free/discounted account services are a one-time discount.
I registered my PlayNC account + first game account during open beta in 2004, there was no option to choose for "Europe" or anything like that back then, so it registered as Account Territory: North America. I do however live in Europe (Netherlands), is there any way to switch that? (my other accounts on the same PlayNC got automaticly assigned to a Europe Territory.

I would imagine there is a way to change territory for people who move, or are in your situation. (Sorry, account-related details are not my expertise.) If it's not an option you see on your PlayNC Account Management page, I'd recommend shooting off a quick support ticket so that someone in our billing department can help you to get it switched.

Well, Depends on where it is being shipped from. Here in the states, things can be very fast. However, once it leaves our shores then it depends on the systems it has to go through. And it depends on how you are sending it.
If I send something to China by DHL it will take a few days. About 3 tops. However, if it is a larger package and it has equipment in it, it can be held up by customs.

I didn't get the items. I choosed the correct server and char last week few minutes before the servers went up for the Hellbound update, but no items recieved during this down time.
2 other clan member that also entered the serial and choosed the server and char didn't recieve them naither, but the ones that aplyed for the Saya's white mask recieved the white mask.

Ahhh, ok. If you got the white mask during this maintenance, you should get the black half mask and pig lollipop next maintenance. I inquired about this and was told that these two promotions have to be distributed during separate maintenance periods.

I wanted the Limited Edition Europe version for all the stuff but its a $120 USD. Thats a bit steep for me right now for that set. I have the 4th Anniversary NA edition but I wish they gave us cooler items like they do in Korea for a change. International places get the nice extras and cool limited edition stuff while we get a box with a DVD and a few lousy cards with codes on them. :mad:
At least let us By the Soundtrack the Music on the Website is not updated and you can't download the music so let us buy it like the Euros. Show US some love after all we have Our own NA Servers :p

you get more time also, I got 60 more day added to my account. My account Needed a renew in July but after adding the code it's now September :)
I have not heard of any purchase-related problems, but if it were me, I wouldn't buy it again until I checked with my bank to see if my purchase went through. Getting charged twice for something isn't fun to sort out. Did you purchase it from the PlayNC store, or some other retailer?

What's even weirder is that my gf's first account is considered European but her second account (made two weeks or so after her first one) is considered US.
Both made with same creditcard, same adress and so on.
Any way of changing this region of the accounts? It's really stupid that even my 5:ish months old prophet-account is considered a US one, even though I live in Sweden, have a Swedish adress, and a VISA-card registered in sweden through a swedish bank.
I usually buy timecards over ebay and get the codes emailed to not have to pay extra for shipping, and all timecards I used to buy where US ones, did specifically test with a US timecard code to make sure that I'm not wrong. All my three own accounts and my girlfriends second account all accept US timecard codes, which I would say makes them US ones, while her main account is a EU one, where the US timecard code doesn't work.
For her main account it just says that "the code is valid, but cannot be used for this account" (something like that) and with a submitted support ticket did get that timecard code changed to a EU one as a one-time-only change.
I would prefer if all the accounts made in Europe where actually listed as EU ones, but apparently they aren't for (to me) unknown reasons.

In fact, to have an US account is actually an advantage, you can pay in $, and actualy, 1€=1.54$ :p

Same here, only difference is, I created my account after C2 came out, and I reside in the U.S. I just used both codes that came with the European collector's edition. (I wanted the stuff, okay?) Not only did I get the 45 days of game time, but I also got the "veteran" discounts and now I have to select a character to give that stupid black mask and pig lollipop to.
I wanted just the game time from the codes; screw the in-game items.
