I know it may sound weird, but i'm considering starting a Prophet sometime in the future because they can wear heavy armor. I just think it looks cool and would be somewhat unique. :)
So, what class would be best suited to duo with a Prophet?
Xp-wise I'd say an archer.
From what I understand from your post you wanna get some heavy and duals or something and go in front and kill stuff. This way is best if you duo with a dagger or a bd or a summoner or anyway someone else melee. But dont expect the best xp rate. Might wanna copy that thread of yours into player questions tab. People dont look much here.

If you intend to wear heavy armor and DD with your prophet, I suggest you pick something else. Prophets have really low strength and no DD skills. You will end up loosing money from shots and GHP pots. If you make an archer, to level your prophet, that is fine, but in this case you can't help with DD. Your damage output is nothing compared to an archer's.
Duo with an archer and forget heavy armour.
Just buff him/her and stay behind and get ready for some healing if need be. Does it sound like kinda of leeching xp? It might be so, but the archer will be grateful nonetheless.

You all say "archer" because you have used to see boxed prophets doing only 1 job. Buff and sit behind!!! Prophets, with a good armor and a good pair of duals, can fight more than well, if they find a nice partener. Archer just kill the mobs in open area... and PP are following. but if you want to go to a cata archers are crap. Make a duo with PP and BD and youll see the power of the Battle Prophet.
Yea Meddling is right ;). I duo'd with him on my BD all the time! He would buff us both then he would put on tallum and duels+my dances we were ripping [censored] up! We duo'd in WoA on the x2 and x3 mobs and most of the time didn't need any heals or anything.
I also agree with Meddling. I box my pp and have meleed her since incepton. She is 60 now. She wears BW and focused Duals. Will go tallum and +++ focus duals when she hits A Grade.
She has been effective with a WC, SK, Pallie, TH, and HE. I have also meleed her with both an EE and a SE.

Dont forget to bring an SE for VR if u wanna go to a catacomb. Or the poor PP will be out of mp faster than u can say "populus is crying".
BD is only good to duo with a PP at 74+ (VR dance). Other than that PP is limited to classes that doesn't require VR, which is archer and/or crossbow user (high dps).
