Hi Guys,

I probably missed some sort of Announcement but is the downtime tomorrow same as our normal Tuesday downtime or is it extended and if so, what are the hours of downtime?

i would like to know too, so i know if it will be up (luna atleast) at a time that is fairly convenient for euro's or if it wont be up to 3-4 am >_<

Finally, we will be launching Hellbound to the live servers next Wednesday April 23rd. There will be no regular maintenance on Tuesday April 22nd. Item distribution and account services will be executed during update maintenance on Wednesday the 23rd.

Not hard to calculate.

Common sense would tell you: Normal downtime + whatever time it takes to download the hellbound update.

But since they incorporated the downtime into the update, my guess is whatever time it takes to update to hellbound. 15 minutes for those with PTS clients converting to live?

Hi Spudnik,

Could you point where out in that post it states the downtime hours and/or if they are extended? I am probably just missing it.

its safe to say the downtime will be at normal hours. probably + 1 or 2 hrs depending if theres an upload glitch, or items and transfers take too long again.

All servers will be down for the simultaneous launch of the Hellbound update and the Luna server, beginning at 8:00 AM Central Time (2:00 PM GMT +1) on Wednesday, April 23rd. The estimated downtime is approximately six hours. This week's regular maintenance period, and the execution of this week's pending account services, will also be held during this scheduled downtime.

I like many have a Live L2 install and a PTS install. When the update goes live, i just copy all of the content files from the PTS to the Live install.

Textures folder
Staticmeshes folder
Systextures folder

Just move Lineage2.exe from your live folder to the PTS folder and delete l2.ini from the system folder and you are set. takes less than 2 minutes.

I don't see l2.ini in my pst folder :( I see l2.int tho...

It should be in the "system" folder (Lineage II\system). Do you by any chance have the explorer option "hide system files" active?

Servers was said to go down at 2:00pm GMT+1. It's now 2:40pm GMT+1 and servers are still up. Seems like it got delayed...I wonder when they will take a look at the clock and realize that they are late for work :p

They always mix up the CT to GMT conversion ... it's 7:44 am CT, update is supposed to start at 8:00AM CT ie in 15 minutes

think they take into account summertime, so they went down at 2 pm gmt, which is actually running at gmt+1 at the moment.

I do not know about you, but mine clients lost connectivity at 14:00 Central European Summer Time. To those using analogue clocks, it's 2pm GMT +1.

I live in the GMT+1 time zone (Norway) and it was 15:00 (3pm) before the servers went down.

CET (Central European Time) = GMT+1
BST (British Summer Time) = GMT+1
CEST (Central European Summer Time) = GMT+2

UK and Portugal are at GMT in winter and BST in summer.
Spain, France, Italy, Germany, etc are at CET in winter and CEST in summer.
Currently we're in summer. The european servers are in Frankfurt, Germany. So they're at CEST, ie GMT+2. But no-one care about GMT so it's CEST and that's all.

GMT = Greenwich MEAN Time.

US Central = 6 hours behind the UK, thats all you ever need to know tbh, doesnt matter wether its summertime or not.
