The issue with required crafting materials for creating following S-grade weapons and armors being missing has been fixed. (The added crafting materials are High Quality Leather/Suede, Asope, and Compound Braid

The spellbooks that are required to learn level 40 through level 74 skills can now be purchased from the following merchant NPCs in newbie towns. (All spellbooks for the skills that you can learn without spending any SP will still need to be acquired from monsters.)
Human classes: Talking Island (Silvia)
Elf classes: Elven Village (Krimis)
Dark Elf classes: Dark Elven Village (Minares)
Orc classes: Orc Village (Wosca)
Dwarf classes: Dwarf Village (Mion)
Kamael classes: Kamael Village (Miflen)
All spellbooks for skills that are level 74 and below now have level requirement information to learn the skill.

I earned alot of adena by hunting at spots where rare SBs drop and sell them in town for 2m...I was amazed of how many players are to lazy to go out and hunt for the SB them self, it doesn't take more than a day or 2 to get a SB you want as drop.
so I was confused by that comment about SBs too - and since I am not in game I can not check.
Does this mean that all Spellbooks are now available from the NPC? If so, that is a good thing (trying to get that hard book) and a bad thing (no more making money from the books that are a rare drop).

Yep! That's what I've been doing with the Soul Gathering books. Drops in the back of Worshippers, it's great exp, I was farming them with my Warlock, then with my Soul Breaker and selling for 1m each with my friend and splitting profit.
Time to NPC them all :)
But at least I can get my Voice Bind book without going to GC and hunting stupid Gamlins!

Well, that wasn't my experience. I spent a whole two weeks and quite a lot of time in game when I was looking for the hurricaine spell book. Never got it as a drop. Of course that was back in C1 or C2.
However, recently I was in EV on my sub for several days and also noted that had I been looking for the hurricaine spellbook, I still wouldn't have gotten it.
I'm not saying that it should be changed but that my experience is that they don't drop as often as that.
Yes, all spellbooks are now available from npc's and NO its not a good thing for many of us. Spellbooks have been a good source of income for many of us and now we are reduced to npc'ing a large part of our inventory. Yes, it is good for others.
My client is stuck at "You are being logged in" screen, and nothing happens. I have my firewall tuned so it allows LA2 to gain Web access, but all I get now is nothing.

unicode still works in the login screen atleast so I think so
Most problems I've had had to do with getting spellbooks on my Bishop in Frozen Labyrinth... some of the really rare ones are difficult to get, especially as a solo Bishop of course.
Yes. Froz Laby books are pretty rare drops. I soloed out there on my sub TH a lot and I think I got maybe 3 or 4 books the whole time I was there ... and Turn Undead has been selling recently for 4 mil on Bartz. Heh.
I have too many SB right now...probably a full of 4 characters inv and their WH store rooms. I could make some money yes...but it does not bother me at all. I just think that by hunting SBs we had a reason to grind except getting to next level which is kind of boring.
i'm watching skills from subs, and a question comes to me... i'm FS with 2 sub nuker...i only can pick up 1 time mana steal or anti magic? same for empo,acu,attack and focus?
yeah that was true, in like c3 ... but after c3 grinding for spellbooks became more boring than actually grinding ...
friend of mine spent a week trying to get aura symphony/blizzard etc sb from those group mobs outside oren, getting lousy xp (considering his alternative was VOS and the amazing xp there) so he was not happy
