Just copy files over as told in other threads and don't bother with the .zip file.

delete l2.ini
better yet, delete your whole system folder
then launch/run full check

or run check file

Odd,

I copied the complete contence of the PTS into my Live games folder. (not the system folder or the loose files like lineageII.exe).

I used that not overwritten LineageII.exe to update the "Live" system folder. And voila I was able to create toons on Luna. You know just in case I change my mind to play Live-servers during non pre-Chaotic Throne periods.
