Help me play a bounty hunter

I'd like to get pointers on playing a bounty hunter. I made this toon to make money but so far i'm barely paying my ss. Tips would be most welcome. I read the get rich fast threads in the player guide section but i wasn't inspired.
It's simple.

1.)Point at Mob
2.)Spoil/*Manor Mob
3.)Kill Mob
4.)Sweep/*Harvest
5.)Profit.

Repeat a few hundred million times. Even better when your doing it to mobs that give you quest items at the same time. Sometimes...your loot list is like 8 or 9 lines long.

* = When applicable
two routes
% and big bucks rarely

lvl is a nice thing to know

as an example
lvl 30 dwarf scav
with good/excellent gear
can slaughter stuff in Execution ground and hope to get ori ore off the marsh stalkers
at 22k each selling price (roughly ymmv) they are a rare big buck

however the bone of the bats in execution ground is very high like 90% spoil rate but bone only sells for 500-1k each
so profit isn't as high but you get alot more

then of course theres shot making which is entirely diff ballgame
Meh i've decided to stop using soulshots. It ate hundreds of k each day and i'm still killing the mobs resonably fast. I just won't take on x2 or x4. In one afternoon doing that i made like 500k, but then again some sucker bought 24 dimentional crystals for 10k each...
If you need inspiration you should go to Giran look at the market a bit ;)

I would say with a bounty hunter its more easy to obtain equipment.
To get items that sell for a good amount of money your Bounty hunter needs to be 55 at last.
Sure there are still some recipes like Bsps c or other and some key mats before 55 but well they not that profitable.

One thing a bounty hunter is good at is obtain a lot materials generally free. They only get beaten with manor.
Ok manor cost some but generate a lot more materials a Bounty hunter could spoil in the same time.

To play smart with your Bounty hunter is the key. Look what you will need for your equip and try spoil and manor it.
What you cant get ( ie. recipes and keymats ) try to buy cheap.
If u need some cash look what is in demand and spoilable and try spoil it / craft it.

Sure you can also try sell all stuff and buy already made equipment but that will cost at later grades more and more.

I can spoil more free matts in a hour then some one using the manor system (cost money to manor) and I don't even use SS.

Just need the right Set up (http://204.127.198.25/ashleymivida/BabyAshley.jpg) :D

Yeah Ashley, we all know your the supreme Lineage 2 Goddess. Everything you do is amazing, spectacular, special and of course, perfect.

In fact, Alyra should see about getting a sticky up in the Player Questions/Class Specific section(s) that tells anyone with questions about anything that they should just shoot you a pm.

Try spoil 3-4k varnish or 200 ori ore at lvl 20 in 1 hour.
Its hard to beleave u can spoil more, oh and seed costs are only a few k adena bet your great wolf eats more in 1 hour.
Not really the food last along time for the cost.

and yea at 20 you won't, BH don't really shine till 55.

I pvp with my BH , you just need to know what you have to do , what you can kill
Not sure what level your bh is now, but at high 40's I went to Forest Of Mirrors and was getting EWC off the mirror mobs like every 40 minutes, sometimes two. (keep in mind i had out of party buffs+pretty decent gear). I am currently grinding (X_X) mobs that spoil ewb's, and I have had good success there too. I totally can't wait until I am high enough level to try spoiling A-grade chants.

Also there seems like there is a very easy to kill mob near level 30 that spoils ewd's like every 150th kill or something. *can't remember been a LONG time*.
EWC and EWB is not really that valuable. They sure help if you start from new but in general ewc go for 400k and B 700-900k on my server.
Also keep in mind not evryone has decent gear and buff ready. At later lvls they are much needed if you dont have a box u will need a party and share spoils so the chance to get enchants is rather low.

Thought was a fun event :P one for sure easy memmorable day.

We don't say [censored].

It's Called BREAK (Breaking EULA Automated while AFK ) :p

What's Shocking is he Didn't leave Lionna with The Rest of LP. He's Still on Lionna and Still BREAK.
Level up a warsmith to parallel your BH. The BH spoils, the WS crafts/crushes/makes shots for the BH. Some things you sell, some things you craft and sell, other things you craft and crush...but its all free since your BH spoiled it.

and always botting . u can find him with some other old LP in FP cata, untagged, afk, while bots killing mobs around.
Are there any spoil reference sites to where and what mob you should hunt to get the desired material?
I made a lot of money, but that was by "playing the market"(buy low, sell high). What I love about my BH though is that, with CH buffs or something similar, I could go out into the middle of nowhere and not be bothered by anyone. When you're done you had...

- Tons of spoils
- Tons of regular drops
- FUN because the spoiling mechanic adds a nice wrinkle to what would otherwise be mindless grinding
- Made exp and sp without even really thinking about it

But yeah, in my mind, you either need buffs or a group because simply killing mobs as a Dwarf is kind of maddening when unbuffed or not paired with a DPS class. With buffs though you can forego SS usage(especially on Weak To Blunt) mobs(which there are TONS) and everything you make is pure profit.

If you don't have buffs and can't find a group? Uh, yeah...that's the part where I sit in town and made money playing the market as I mentioned above. I'm not saying it's a great system but it did okay for me(a few hundred million by level 51).

To recap:
1. Try for either decent buffs(they don't have to be great, CH, SE, or WC is more than enough), a group, and Weak To Blunt mobs(if you are using a blunt) so that you can spoil without your naturally slow Dwarven kill rate depressing you emotionally.

2. When you can't find a good formula for hunting/spoiling then try learning what sells and for how much on your server then play the market instead of forcing a square peg(poor solo'ing class on its own) into a round hole(a difficult hunting ground).

3. Oh and hunt smart! Know the drop/spoil tables. Know what people want so that you can go looking for it as opposed to just getting "stuff" that no one needs. Cherry pick the mobs that offer good drops, good spoils, AND that make the most of how you tend to hunt and what gear you have.

My favorite hunts are ones where the drops are good, the spoils are both frequent and exceptional(some mobs spoil items often and then they also have lower percentage spoils that are really valuable, so your winning short term and long term), they drop herbs(mana pots so that I can keep spoiling without resting), and are really easy to kill so that I don't feel drained when I get done playing.

Databases and buff(ers) are your friends. I won't hunt without them.

You pretty much contradicted yourself here. If you had 'tons' of spoils and drops you wouldn't *need* to play the market. Ditto for regular drops.

If you are somewhere not being bothered by anyone, you're not getting many drops or spoils much less 'tons' of them.

Even then there are only a very, very few spots that spoil anything even remotely close to 'adequate' in numbers or rate. The vast majority or spoils are quite simply....complete crap.

So unless you happen to be in perfect level range (and able to solo there) chances are your not spoiling much of anything. (AKA Draconic bow shafts or something equally in demand.)

Overall the income from spoils is a small % of your total income per level, unless you can get those few 'in demand' spots or items. It's not inconsequential, as even spoiling NPC trash can boost your income over the pathetic normal drops. (And in fact NPC trash tends to be far more profitable than most other items at least until you start reaching B grade level spoils.)

BUT, most people lose that immediately by blowing the money that they earn on consumables to make it more bearable to hunt as a spoiler. (Spoils in a party not being that great since they are divided by the size of a party...)

And while getting a mob to go blue is 'fun'...killing 100's of mobs and having only 10's of them turn blue for 1 stem or suede each is *depressing*!

BH's should have been a really fun class to play even with the half-***** spoilshare change...but it's crippled by ludicrously unbalanced spoil tables.

I didn't say that they were worth a lot. I might get XXX stems, but it was much more lucrative to resell an item.

How does my proximity to others directly affect the frequency of drops and spoils? You're probably indicating that by going where others aren't that I am missing out on the really good spots that everyone wants. My BH is level 51 and has been for a long time. There aren't many people around my level so I reallydon't have to compete especially since I avoid Catas/Necros a lot.

That's not where I'm at(both level and intensity). I enjoy what I spoil, it's useful stuff, and I make decent money doing it. That's good enough for me.

As I said, both in my previous post and this one, playing the market is much more lucrative, but spoling is fun and I rake in tons of mats. No, I'm not getting Draconic Bow shafts but that's for others to fight over.

I can't really find fault in any of that. I generally try to stick with stuff that spoils regularly(as opposed to great, but infrequent spoils so that I don't get frustrated) and that seems to make me happy, but yeah it could be much better.
