We're experiencing some technical obstacles which is sadly taking time to overcome. But people are working around the clock (just about literally and yes voluntarily) to get the sites up and running again.
I have all guides I've done backed up and can throw them up on my site if needed :)
Yep, what most people need from stratics is your awesome guides.
BTW anyone in stratics doing a guide for the bird in cage and other IoP quests to access hellbound?
For the time being I'm using the cache feature of search engines for information that isn't available elsewhere. Takes a bit to load sometimes and doesn't look pretty, but the vital information is there.
However, sometimes it is nice to not be sure where the quest is leading you. :) Other times, not so much.
If it comes to it I can put up all the quests I've done (about 130) up on my site. Just been waiting to see what's going on with Stratics because that would be a ton of work and I don't have a database in place with all the background info.

I'm not sure what you have saved yourself but as a total longshot, what if all us lot trawl our browser histories to see what we have from visiting your site.
You never know, we might be able to recover quite a bit.

Abort Quest, drag it to the trash, or break it on a Lizardman then turn it in?
there is no need to abort quest.
task from cybelin is only task, which requires you to have hunters quest, but it's not part of it.
so only thing you need, is to put dagger to trash (or level it up, and give back to cybelin, in exchange for some adena), nothing more.

Ellie, i went to your site and looked at the quests you've done. I clicked on a few and they go back to Stratics ...which is blank :(

First rule of backup is not to have all the backups at the same physical or digital location. But yeah, really miss Stratics :(
Yup. We just modified our operating procedure at work to maintain three backup copies - one on-site, in a fireproof safe, second on magnetic media stored at the local bank, and third offsite with host where applicable.
Cannot trust "offsite" to be the complete answer, unfortunately.
I do hope Ellie is doing well, wherever. She did an incredible service to the L2 community.
Just remember that if you do guides for a third party site, you may no longer have the rights to those guides. I know that LC was always great about working to make sure that as long as he was a part of Stratics the guide writers did not give up their rights. I ultimately don't know where things stand on that score with Stratics, but it's an important thing to remember when writing guides.
Most people do it to improve the community and that's the best reason. But know the policy of the site you are writing for, and get it in writing if you can.

While we haven't liked each other much, I'll actually miss seeing her around.
I noticed a error in the mirmors exilor quest.
That states when you subclass you can't change your class, which isn't true. You can delete that sub and change it. (part of the notes section, mirmors exilor hasn't been up dated since C3).
