Euro time are Teon, Franz and Luna. I'd probably pick Teon or Franz before Luna. (Newer server yes...but seems like more cheaters than players trying to 'pwn' that server.)
For US times, I'd go for a lower population server if you have any desire to RP anything. A high pop server like Bartz is more likely to be overly concerned with 'pee vee pee' than they are with helping lower players or doing *gasp*! RP.
I forget which server claims to be the 'unofficial RP' server, but if you look at the server forums and say hello I think you will get an idea of which suits you best.
First, I'll address what is most important in your post.
Lionna is the unofficial RP server, so your best luck at finding RP is there. I would also suggest visiting www.l2rpa.org (http://www.l2rpa.org) and registering, and get to meet the RP community.
There are a number of wonderful clans on Lionna, many of which I would be happy to point you toward if you can give a little more detail as to what you're looking for in a clan.
I have heard Lionna is small, but decently active, but if you want more people around your level to group with (tho you could probably find a clan in Lionna) you might want to come to Bartz with me.
And if you ever do come to Bartz send me a PM and we can do some RP. :)
So.. Lionna for RP, but it lacks population.. Bartz has population, but not alot of RP, and Luna is just new. Hrmm.
I take it guilds are called Clans here hm? And would it be safe to assume that an alliance is a conglomerate of clans?
Jkoster, I tend to play either support (buffer/healer) types, plain old nukers or pet types (like engineer from AO if you've played that), or ranged characters (archers, rifles). Not real big on melee, though I do tend to have a melee toon at some point just as something to mess with. So with a guild/clan, I'd be looking for a group that would first off have an interest or need in a character of one of those types (I'm realy big on teaming, and a team player so fitting into a team is kinda important to me). I mainly want folks to talk with in game, offer advice, and hang out with. I'm not looking for a bunch of handouts, or items. Just people that are active in the game, know what they're doing, and dont mind helping a noob figure the game out (ie are paitent, cause if anyone can find a way to screw up, I can).
