Hi again :)
Well Im not far from hitting A grade at this point and as you can probably guess from title Im trying to figure out what armor to get.
Sword is less of a problem as Im pretty much determined to get IM focus.
I read a bit of info on previous threads regarding armores, but from what I can tell theres a lot of debate as to whats better.
A lot seem to suggest Maj. Thats the 1 armor thats out for me, as my pvp is limited and with my +con tats, my main worry is not stuns.
So the choice is between DC (which seems to give the most damage directly) NM (nice for VR) and Tallum (mana regen really would add a lot to damage potential).
Since the previous threads regarding this topic, has any1 actually tried these out and seen which 1 seems better? Does tallum really help mp regen much? Does DC really add much to the overall damage?
Again, thanks in advance!
Well, I can't talk much about the other sets, since I only tested the Tallum (because I didn't bother with the others, I wanted the looks!! ;) ), and I can say that the mana regen is pretty nice. My Zerker regens 10 MP per tick in a rather fast way, but I'm not sure that it's worth it just for the MP regen, especially if you're soloing. I still have to recharge him quite a bit with my SE whenever I'm hunting, so you'd probably want a set that gives you a bonus that you can use better while hunting, in the case you don't have a recharger following you around.
Thanks a lot for your answer :)
Yeah, I have the tallum already from my main and dam...it does look nice, thats for sure :) Bit disappointing about the mana though. I was really curious about that, cuz if the regen isnt that good I guess its not worth it unless like you said, you prefer the looks :) Was thinking it would be nice to have true berserker on while using violent temper or other skills. Will have to consider other options I guess :P
DC is looking better...
Well I have all A grade Light Armors (lot alts) and for PVE there is noting Better then DC period.
NM is nice if you find your self fighting hard hitting mobs are you find your self with 2 or more mobs on you most of the time.
NM has better P defense and helps with the VR if you critt a lot. I like the NM if I'm solo with no buffs. However if I have Buffs and/or Healer.......then DC all the way.
Hmm...NM does sound nice too then. Especially in combo with focus. Will have to give that a try I think. Unfortunately Im not in a very active clan, and finding parties is hard usually, so I often solo and I dont have buffs or heals. For me personally, NM might come out better in some ways then.
True Zerker really does use very little MP Darwin, I get u.
Bit of a pain to keep switching on and off tho :P
Actually waiting for Crushing Pain to see how that affects my soloing :P
You know, ture zerker dont take MP if you turn it off before moving again, so it will just cost more souls.
What? I wasn't taking about MP
... Did you even talk about True Zerker? That message was going Felions way, when saying thought +MP was good cause felion wants to use TrueZerk and Violent temper alot in hunting.
But yes, id go for NM. VR is always good for solo. And yeah, i turn it on, kill mobs near me, then turn off for the longer runs, so it wont really use any mp, unless you leave it one when running simi far. go go zerker!
I'm not going to talk about the Quick Reply again. I always tell Ashley that and she never remembers, I'm giving up... -.-
And well, Crushing pain is a HUGE difference on your MP, Felino. Once you get to 60, you'll notice you'll have a hard time keeping your MP. So yeah, don't go for Tallum just for the MP regen, if you want, go for the looks :P The MP regen is good, and I can keep toggles and still regen MP, but when it comes to combat, it doesn't make that big of a difference to justify it on a soloing Zerker, since you WILL run out of MP anyway.
Hehe :)
Thanks a lot again to u guys :) Same ones always answering my questions since lvl 1 :P Hoping this info will be useful for others also trying the class out tho for the future since its all really still kinda new compared to the other classes.
Looks like Im goin NM (altho Tallum does look a lot better :P, oh well)
To summarize then maybe:
NM could be the best if you wanna solo and dont have an alt healing or buffing you, (better P.def, M.def, sleep resistance, and nice VR) otherwise...
DC unless u wanna PVP and are worried about stuns in which case...
Maj unless youre worried about looks and wanna regen a bit of mana (though its not really a big difference, since we dont have focus or other mp regenning skills), in which case...
Tallum
Sound right? :)
After read some threads and i prefer to use DC light. But what about weapon. I think most of you choose either Infernal/SoI with focus or Dragon slayer with health. I wonder about SA critical bleed, since contagion need bleed to active. Did someone try this? Pls give me some revieuw.
Well, honestly, I would either go with Health or Focus. I don't think the critical bleed would be that useful, but I also don't know the percentage on it.
But you'd either want more crit rate OR more HP. In any case ;)
Interesting thought though. I like it :) Hadnt even occurred to me. I suppose it could be an option, although I just havent gotten high enough to find out or test myself (still just 58) :P
Seems a bit mana costly though to use regularly in pve, in pvp could do wonders though...really seems like nasty potential.
Still think Ill go with IM focus though cuz the more damage I do, the more health I get back when I use NM light.
I tried Guardian Sword with Health at B grade and the difference in damage was just too noticeable, and the extra HP didnt help enough. In pvp though, that could change.
I am just 58 too. But still i think that is a potential choice. Because in the end game you are always in party with full buff (and your self buff) so your crit rate is not bad.
Yeah, scaling is in many ways better, % is nice, wish they did that with focus too :)
I would definitely want health SA for pvp, but for PVE Ill go with the flow and stick with Focus for now. I have to say, I really like that new thought of Crit Bleed though :) Sounds like it could be interesting. Id be curious to see if someone tested it
