I say NO. Towns have always been the center of trades, i hardly doubt that people during any times have moved their hard earned stuff to the market on a FANTASY ISLAND.

so what's the motivation to go get a castle then? castle income is mostly Grocery sales. If you provide a place with no tax (aka cheapest supplies) people will shop there so no castle income
castles were taken in the past, when dwarven & orc village were a tax free area but as far as i know, taxes are not the only way castles can make money.
manor is one way, not to mention the new skills and benefits the clan has, when holding a castle.
im really bored to search atm but if you have any other oppinion, check the changes in previous chroncles, concerning castle lords.

It cant work though. They bumped up the port fees as a money sink to fight inflation. Giving everyone a free port to buy stuff is exactly the opposite of what they want.
Remember, this is the company that moved the Race manager at the derby because people could port to Dion for free (soe cost).

Why not just use the Monster Race Track - seems to be where a lot of the shops on Hindemath went to. There is already a warehouse keeper there if needed. But I do like the idea of shops on FI just because the monster track is pretty small in comparison.

Yep you said it ! that makes lots of saving for all classes , more than you could imagine! Hope other servers start doing the same. Its about time to change things to better and act smartly! and on top of that add soem color and fun to our gaming lives! Giran is tired of us!
fantasy isle should have a mini flee market, bunch of npc venders that sell all the worlds goods available through any npc world wide (and is only taxed by aden)

I can't see any purpose for FI -except- for trade and market. (am I wrong?) but I also think a WH on the island is a little on the lazy side. I don't mind the half second port back to town to grab gear. Plus if I knew I was going to the island to shop or sell I would probably have the gear on me before I go ;)
It's a nice place to set up shop with tons of square footage so you won't get stuck on dorfs. The port is free from anyplace and it would clear up lag on Giran. Without a WH keeper or Shop no money is lost to any town. And like someone said you can sit there without getting buried in "Next race will begin.." like on MRT. ;)

And since all shoops are moving to Fantasy Island, isn't time to add an Auction House (NPC) in Giran?
Where we can sell our stuff to other players by auctions, we "leave" our stuff with the NPC for a price (longer the time your stuff stays with the NPC, more you pay), others players can see those, and purchase who offer more money (if no one offer money after the time is over, the item come back to the owner WH, but you dont recover the money lost)..?
Our 6th day in F.IslandLionna. "Whats not love to see tons of space and free porting from every town. Wh is just another free port away". Thats what a player called Alaxnder told me . I have received mails not forgeting messages ,asking us to keep on or thanking us for savings and time and others offering help and support.. Still many out there in Giran cry out for WH and tell us , give us a wh we move ! Thats an excuse. But , thats what they want. I have to say , that 95% of us run to wh even in Giran. Except few that sit near wh. If you enter F. Island from Runetownship, at your exit the wh is just a feet away.
I'm for a wh or at least a NPC for it. Hope that NCsoft will be taking this thread seriously and consider to do something about that fast. If they are fighting bots and adena sellers then why they should be ignoring this important issue that can saves us loads of money. Hope they don't fail us. We need a change.
