after every amaintenance period

After every maintenance period my inventory is all scrambled up.

why is that ncsoft? Are you looking through my underwear drawer when im not home?
No, I looked thru it....and.....

You have alot of dirty underwear. :D
Your inventory should scramble everytime you log into the game! Your items are actually reloaded onto your toon every time you log in. There is no code that keeps inventory order while offline.

Oh... never keep stuff in your underware drawer. It is always the first place I... err they look.
LMAO I like this thread. Remember, "it's not to size, but how it is used" as they say.

And you really gotta stop mixing your dirty underwear in with the clean ones. :P
ah... em... - well, just to make sure HGMSpam doesn't get too offended running his fingers through my dainties, I went to the Black Marketeer and bought some +3 soap ( not available in stores damit ).

just one minor problem, like the cubics, the laundromat is not available til the Gracia release.

Spam - if it moves, run like hell. . .
"It is the motion of the ocean and not the size of the swells"

sorry.. could not resist....

Just a bit confused there Spam - My inventory always stayed exactly same layout every day I logged in, until afte the Tuesday Maintenence. Then roughly 10-12 items would be randomised, and the others remain in place. I used to sort my inventory in specific order but gave up a while ago.
Logout before the game kicks you and your settings sometimes get preserved. The arrangement of the inventory icons might be tracked in the /iwo directory. Each one of those in there is related to one of your toons.

Just hope someday some bug accidently puts an ant queen ring in your inventory instead of thread while it organizes it ;). I'm still waiting for that day...
well failing that I d just be happy if the completelly removed thread from mobs droplists ... it's seriously bugging me that I have ~ 600k thread and nothing to use it for
Nope the original poster is completly right and I wondered that myselfe already... always after maintance the items get scrambled again... must be some kind of maintance code running through our inventories :)

HGMSpam in case you dont remember it, but the sort order in the inventory always gets safed if you log out - that has been implemented in one of the last updates gladly!!! :) - Just the maintance reorders your inventory again ^^

There's a rumor going around that in CT2 you can trade thread for Baium, Ant Queen, Frintessa, etc, but don't tell anyone I told you this! Keep it on the down low.

ps: That's a joke. Don't complain to NC when this doesn't turn out to be true. I'm still waiting for that ant queen ring though [hint].

Thread at least has more uses than Suede does!

Thread + Iron Ore = Metallic Thread
Metallic Thread + (Yet more) Iron Ore = Durable Metal Plate

Durable Metal Plate is used a lot in A grade and higher recipes.
I used Suede on Luna yesterday and crafted myself a Leather Helmet !

Suede is used for High Grade Suede, which is used for armor craft.

With that and Suede you can make a lot of Formal Wear ;)

Same for me. I have my inventory organized in a very particular way, and it definitely stays that way after I log out.

Yes, but HGS is used in far lower quantities...you can pretty almost get enough for all your crafts from drops alone, much less if you are or play with a spoiler. Plus HGS is not used in main armor, and the only weapons that need it are blunt/bow. And even then the amount is pretty small.

Compartively speaking, suedes use in armor/weapons is comparative to thread in jewelry. (In making cord.) But on the other hand, while the average use of suede is in the 60-200 range, thread usage via DMP is in the 400-15,000 range!

And that's ignoring usage in Compound braid on those same crafts, much less the ones that use all of them.

The main moderating factor on both, is often the other base mats, rather than craft the HGS or Metallic Thread, people manor/spoil the higher level materials instead. Saving a ton of base mats that are in shorter supply. (Iron, varnish and especially animal bone!)

Hence why Suede does so badly in comparison. It's only post D grade use is in High Grade suede, which you can manor a smackload of easily, since demand for it is so low. That saves you from wasting your precious animal bone/CBP from crafting it...which leaves just the Formal wear stuff to use it in any notable quantity.

...You'd think the developers would have seen that, and had 'common' craft accessories use more suede/thread and fewer colored scales...
