What type of shaman should I am to create? I love pvp so, advice welcomed :)
Don't Pick Shaman.. They are a Support class.
Now if you like PVP support then Overlord is the one for you but you also need a good Clan and PVE support.
I could Tell you other classes to pick that's better for PVP but you need first figure out if You want stick with Orcs, which means you have go melee. Or if you want a Mage then What race?
No Point in telling you what you should play when your not giving me enough info to go on but Shaman and again they are a support PVP not the best at PVP.
Ranged attackers (archers and nukers), followed by daggers. To a (much) lesser extent, Gladiators and Tyrants. Everything else is support. Although, be aware, most people say that PvP in L2 is really a group thing. So don't discount the support classes for PvP. They are all needed, just some more than others.

Yeah, and if you can find a good/decent clan, Overlord might be fun for you. As said before, they are not gods, but they are good for clan warfar, as they can heal, both the clans HP and CP, buff full clan with basic buffs, and they can dish out attacks with there ranged life drain and AoE spells. Also they have stun :) which is nice to have handy.
OL was fun back in C4. Right now there isn't more frustrating toon in game. In pvp overlords can be either a walking CP pots or can try to debuff opponents. TRY DEBUFF OPPONENTS - everyone and their moms have 99,99% chance of resisting any given debuff, and some can ever turn it back on you. Not to mention that OL will be OOM in like 20 seconds :/
OL here and I will tell you, in PvP, unless you are way up in the 70's, like 76+ or so, you are not very good in PvP groups. You are very rarely wanted and with the cp macros everyone runs now, you just are not as needed. Hell, the cp heals is only goodfor about 1/2 what a nuker or archer hits for and the reuse time is super long along with an insane amount of mana needed to run it for very long.
Once you are up there and there is one to three other OLs in your clan, then you are one that everyone wants for seiges, and gank runs. But that is a lot of play time between starting out and getting there.
WC is a better mid game toon to play. You will level almost as fast as a BD and you are wanted in almost any pickup party.
Well considering how much I have been rolled in pvp, then I will take the carebear title for sure. Only thing I have is my drain and stun that really helps. Once the macros start going off, the dps of an ol is too low to really do much and once mana is burnded thru, well then an OL is really a poor smacker.
Now get 2 or more, you have something. Besides, it is geting one leveled up that really sucks. WC is easy to group any time, any place. Get a pickup party for an OL is almost impossible without real friends in the game.
I was recently partying with a friend, she is a PS, I am an OL. She really enjoyed watching me play my toon and decided she wanted to play one. I told her "I highly recommend against it". It requires a serious amount of dedication and patience, especially the latter, to raise an OL. Having a helpful clan is... well... helpful. Random parties are almost impossible to get, you can shout for hours and get nothing even in high traffic areas. I've actually asked to join people and instead of accepting they just offered to buff me oop every round, feeling I wasn't of much worth. I have been accepted in to some random parties, though, because I rooted 14 mobs at once and saved lives. If you have friends you can depend on for parties it's possible to AoE much of the way, maybe the entire way (I personally feel AoE is the OL strength). Expect a lot of down time, don't expect it to be easy. Despite all that, my OL is my favorite toon so far. It's my first and only toon to b-grade and is nearing a-grade.
I recently made a WC, a toon I'm not enjoying very much. Go figure... I have to admit though, she's not even 44, so no good buffs yet.
EDIT: I've only been in one siege and all I could do was heal clannies HP (don't have CP heals yet). I have no real PvP experience to speak of.

WC's don't really get decent until L56 with Haste2. OL's peak earlier as they max out most of their buffs before A grade. After that they don't get much of anything useful until 3rd class. (Empower/Death Whisper)
...yes I have one of each...I actually started the WC just to buff the OL...spending more time with the Destro w/WC now as I level them up to match...I may just keep going with the Destro though, and mothball the OL until they make them less painful to play.
I didn't mean that 44 was something great, but 44 is when you get vr as a wc, and often, even at 58, I have wanted to exchange some OL buffs for vr. I love my toon, debuffing mobs and crowd control is fun for me. The few people I have managed to do this with have really appreciated me (my toons abilities), I just really want to know why there is seemingly no love for the OL? Quite frankly, I see the WC as a boring class, it's like a PP but with fighting capabilities (more so because of buffs).
Is the OL really so bad at high levels (like I've heard)? Is the problem pvE or pvP? Or is it both? Is it something else? I'm only 58 so I can't speak for higher lvls and pvP, but for pvE my magic is nearly always enough for whites and greens, where yellow and up often need empower. BTW, I use a CoN+2 at 58, root, sleep, silence, Steal Essence are maxed, the other debuff skills don't seem to have much use so Im not lvling them. I admit that DOTs are not very useful, but I think that depends on how you use them too. In Frozen Lab, when solo, I root the bandersnatches then mass burn them which oftend does enough for me to kill them easily enough before root wears off.
At the end of all this I want to say that if people want to play OLs I think they should, but they shouldn't expect to be in for a joy ride. OL are often not easy to level and in my experience it has been more so because of other players rather than the class' issues.
I certainly hope something is done to rectify this issue.
PvE at high levels suck for an OL.
PvP when you are going one on one with someone about your level, you will usually win.
PvP > 2, you are a hugh help to the other player, but you will die usually.
CP pots and instant heal pots and ghp all reduce the greatness of the the OL in battle. I have noticed all the large clans have a few OLs in them, but usually not more than 4.
The OL is actually very close to being what it should be, but NcSoft has not taken the time to work out the seal issues and the drain nerf a while ago was only for Olyp so they messed the real world up big time for such a few players.
Now with the mana nerf, we are seeing it again.
I love my OL, and I have a very loving clan, but when you see DD needed for FoG, it gets disheartening. You will never see OL needed for party. It just doesn't work that way.
Now, WC can get parties easy and pickup parties easy too. I think that is why they level a bit quicker than the OL.
PvE at high lvls suck for any support with no DD to kill stuff for them.
At around 70+ you'll notice that you won't be able to do anything on our own - before that there still are ways for a normal player (with no 2-3 different armor and wepons sets, high OE etc.) to lvl. Once you hit the wall of getting 0,01% per mob that takes insane amount of time to kill alone you'll understand...
PvP 1 on 1? With OL? Sorry, but that was possible in... c3? c4? Show me who can you kill 1:1? A boff-box SE maybe. Or afk war tag... Any DD will take you down in a second. And yuo won't be able to outdamage CP pots with drain (debuffs? ffs... WHO runs around without looking for PvP without buffs that make OLs debuffs useless?).
A PVP duo? I'm sorry... What class can benefit from (a) NO specific buffs - apart from the basic nuker buffs, (b) NO heal (HoP? Battle heal from prophet is better...), (c) CP heals that take ages to reuse (mass heal) or cast (single target), (d) a toon that runs like a freight train with too much load (one of the slowest classes in game)? EE / Bishop / SWS / BD / SE are WAY better at this.
PvP party? With the current state of affairs no "perfect" party other then nukers will take OL. Well... maybe if you're 79+ (blockade, flames, limit). Or if you're in a small clan that is forced to form pretty random parties based not what class you play but whos online at the moment.
Just to ilustrate - I've been 75 for nearly 5 months now. Care to know how far towards dominator I've made? 55%. And I feel lucky, when I get a single % per day (and I'm online almost every day on the most populated server in NA/Europe).

Well then the peeps that try to kill me must suck, because I can drop people around my level when we not spamming cp heals. I can spam those cp pots just as fast as the next guy so that makes this a level field. I don't hit my macro unless they do.
The only toons I have issues with are tryants and ee's. Other than that, I don't do so bad at all at 73.
No one duo's pvp without full buffs, so my buffing is nothing. If they make the mistake of focusing on me, unless they a high archer duo, the person I am with has plenty of time to kill at least onw before I go down.
We, as a clan don't do bad in the > 2 pvp stuff, but you are right, cp pots have done more to rune the game than anything else.
The 2 orc shaman types (WC&OL) share a lot but also have many diffrences. OL is way more PvP and battle oriented, while WC is more support (buffs) oriented. Their skillset has similarities (drains, stuns, sleep, fear) but OL has soul guard and a bigger CP reserve that makes it more of a "front line mage". Debuffs (no matter how ineffective they are) also make him more of an offensive mage. A WC lacks all these and only has 2 DOTs (another story of ineffectiveness), so it is force to stay away from the battle fray. His buffest is very impresive though.
I'm not ignoring the posts, just listening. I guess I'll find out how life really is when I get there. Still love my toon though. Thanks for the input.
