So my collector's edition thingy finally arrived yesterday. And I imported the L2 soundtrack onto my itunes and gave it a listen.... after I had listened to them all I thought to myself... i've never heard any of these songs before in my life! (Well 1 or 2 sounded familiar.... but still). So my question is, where are these songs from exactly? I mean, I havn't played the game with music on for about a year or so, so maybe they are in the game from some of the newer areas.... but I was expecting to hear some nostalgic Dion and Giran music or something! ><
Oh and on a side note... could anyone tell me which code I need to register to get the free Black Half Mask and Pig Lolipop? Is it the 15 day time card? And also... do I have to put the free account service on the same character I want the in game items to go to? Thanks!
Not sure about the Euro version, but on the NA version, you put the 60 day serial code in, then you have to go to your account and click on "choose a character". At that point, you choose which character you want to have those items (be SURE, you cannot drop or trade them) and wait for the next server update. They will be in your toons WH.

The music on the CD is made by 2 Korean music writers
This is going to sound a bit picayune, but are they actual songs or are they instrumental segments. Like what we get "in game".
I know there were 1 or 2 actual songs written for L2 at one point. I ask because I have been considering getting this L2 version but might be a bit reticent if the cd is just a cd of songs.
To answer your sidenote questions, you use the 30-day card to get the in-game items.
The free account services stay on your account until you use them. They don't have to be applied to the same character that receives the in-game stuff. So you can have one character get the stuff and change the name/gender of a different character.

It's a mix. some are instrumental and others are songs.

I am a huge fan of his music. I think what he did for L2 was incredible. I liked it much more than the later stuff by Inon Zur.

To bad that some of the music he made for L2 is a "re-make" of soundtracks written for Lord of the Rings by Howard Shore...atleast they sound like it.

He didn't get banned because he linked to the music...that link also gave you access to download not to be mentioned 3rd party programs.

I just sent you a pm Alyra, I will send you a follow up one now after reading this.
problem is it comes up as a search the link if u google it, and makes no reference to the illegal program in the link or in the initial page the link sent you too.
Dont want to say anything else about it but it was more just not double checking exactly what the link was then purposely putting something out there.

I really dig Bill Brown's stuff as well. I'm pretty sure that his music was out before the LoTR movies were done as well. Some of the newer stuff that's coming into the game is still pretty good. Sometimes I think I'm the only one that actually listens to the game when I play :)
I love the music in L2 also. Some music in grinding areas get annoying after some time and especially the music in Giran! lol! But I love Hunters village! Sometimes I port there just to hear it..lol. There is a song that you can hear in the shop in Heine that I like. It's the shop where you can buy pots and stuff. Anyone know the name of that little jingle? 2 of my other favs are the intro and outro themes from c1 by the great Bill Brown! Hey Bill why don't you put out an L2 soundtrack! I'd buy it! LOL
