Support for higher (widescreen) res?

I was contemplating buying a 22" LCD later in the year. Out of curiosity, I checked inside L2, and noticed that the highest resolution is 1280x1024. Does NCsoft have any intention of adding support for 19" widescreen, or 20"+ monitors? 22" widescreen is so cheap now that we will probably see many gamers moving toward it.

In the meantime, is there a workaround? ie, can you manually set the resolution higher via the INI file or somesuch? Running a game in anything other than the LCD's native resolution results in a horribly blurred image, especially with text.
there is definitely a higher resolution avialble. it show only if you have bigger screen.
I play with 1600*1200 or 1400*1050 depending on what computer I am using (desktop/laptop)

As Draecke says. L2 won't show you resolutions that your monitor or graphics card can't handle. Same for the refresh rate.
I play on 1920x1200 on a 24" 16:10 without any problems!
Thanks for the info!
I play at 1920x1200 on my laptop and 1680x1050 on my desktop. Works great :)
I play at 1440x900 on a 19" 16:10 :)
as posted above.. 2560x1600

however i've managed 5120x1600... but it requires over $3000 just for 2 of those big 30" screens :)
Are these widescreen views correctly in proportion or stretched ?
What ms refresh on that monster Judas ?
Oh wow now that's some resolution
Does it run ... errr... smooth? Or are those settings set just for screenshot?
Fiery, the screens is to porportion.. there is no stretching or resizing... the only limitation THAT was in place was lack of being able to zoom properly.. but they have now "seemingly" resolved that....

the MS refresh on the dell 3007wfp is 14ms (16ms is the maxium for super smooth and excellent frame rates)

Dell 3008wfp is i beleive 8ms (6ms?).. maybe it's 12.. i'll have to go look it up..

either way, having had 2ms up to 20ms responce time lcd monitors in my hands... the dell 3007wfp is one beautiful beast to work with, smooth as freaking silk where as those with 2ms display are dealing with garbage (don't tell me otherwise, you haven't a clue if you think your 2ms screens are superior)

anywho.... to be frank, dealing with most lcds being limited to 60hz refresh rates (which isn't a problem at all) the fastest is 60fps @ 16ms responce..

Anything fast ms wise doesn't really effect much in the suttle changes.... not unless you increase the frame rate and refresh rate to match.

crawlerin.

Smooth as silk, and no not for screenshot only.....

When i feel like playing solo no boxing at all, i crank it up max it out, and sit back and feel completely emersed in it's glory.

IMO though, 2560x1600 basically requires crossfire/sli to run other games smoothly though

considering that
1280x720 (720p on hdtvs) or 1280x800 is only 1 million pixels of definition
1920x1080 (1080p on hdtvs) or 1920x1200 is only 2 million pixels of definition
2560x1600 or soon to be available 2560x1440 (1440p on hdtvs) is a whopping 4 million pixels of definition.

there is rumor of a 37" 3840x2400 monitor down the
can't wait
out of curiosity, how do you enable multi-monitor support within the game? I've got two decent monitors, and when I turn on the game, it fullscreens on the primary monitor, and the secondary one goes into some funky res mode.
Run client windowed, not fullscreen.
I agree,
I run 1920x1200 on my Dell XPS laptop, and
1600x1200 on my desktop (2x 20.1" formac monitors)
I have run in 3200x1200 across both screens, but my toon tends to be split across the gap in the middle of the 2 monitors, so I use that purely for screenshots.

I always run in windowed mode, as I am usually surfing/looking stuff up for clannies whilst I grind.
Also as it's a dual monitor system, If i go fullscreen (1 monitor for the above reasons), if i accidentally click on the other monitor, the game drops back to minimized (invisible) mode on the taskbar; not so good for a TOI party!
it's always best to run in odd numbers for monitors..

1/3/5/7/etc

almost 2 full years ago i was running the below (the image illustrates how it looked on the monitors)

3x 1280x1024 acer lcd monitors with horizontal stretching.

utterly amazing..... field of view was just crazy as hell lol.
That's freaking crazy. Thanks for the answers, crawlerin and judas. I suspected as much. Thanks!
I have a 32inch tv lcd i play on with the highest stuff and i love it just wish the new shaders with hdr settings wouldn't black screen or make light elfs so white you can't see them properly.
