Just to step in for a sec, I think he believes that you are saying it's NC's fault because you make the statment that you know people who are leaving or not loggin in and then you say "NC better doing something".
It possibly alludes to the idea that if NC doesn't do anything then more people will leave and therefore NC's lack of action is to blame.

I agree with the main point of this topic, that is, we, the community, want an event! I mean, comon, it is basically summer now and people have more time to play L2. So bring on the events and bring on the fun.
Raid Boss event would be awsome, but honestly, I just want an event that is easy to participate in and is fun. If I see any more gatekeeper cats trying to pass as an "event" I will scream. (They need a new "start of the chronicle" event, I hate those stupid cats... Do something cooll!)
By calling NCSoft "lazies" has to be some sort of criticism.
Some people move on regardless of ingame events etc.
Family commitments, holidays, new games, lack of finance, change in mindset.
It has been a while since we had an event. I don't call having a few special GK NPCs an event, regardless of how useful or money saving they might be.
I enjoyed the pig event in particular as it helped finance my SLS duals.
If time is the factor, I would like to see NCSoft spending that time and effort gaining new customers rather than creating another ingame event. I do, however, understand how important it is to retain the customers you already have.
Personally I'd rather have one of the medal events and the SA crystals rewards.
As for NCSoft spending time in getting new customers, I seriously doubt it will happen. Every now and then, during events, they add something to attrack and bring old players back. In vain. Some of them are coming back, but they leave again. Really fast.
I couldn't agree with you more. It is getting very boring and the events usually draw me back into it. Haven't played in a month now because nothing is going on. Yawner tbh. Get an event going. Working on CT2 isnt a good excuse.
If it were to come, something like the previous event would be good. No direct item events please (pumpkin, L2 day etc.)
Raidboss event isn't really a good event as only the top clans will pwn the bosses, and kill all others trying. It was different in C2-3? when random pickup groups would form to take them down.
But then again, I'm left out of the events which require drops anyhow since I'm playing outside of the server primetime. <grumbles back to his pothole>
I don't want to see fireworks for the 3rd year in a row. I'm not a huge RPer, and I still got another 138 lower level fireworks sitting on my dwarf taking up room (WTS if any one on bartz is interested).
I'd like to see another event soon, 4th of July is fine, as I'm working on my sub and stuff.
I like the pumpkin type events where you get friends to help open large pumpkins for a chance at something nice.

that's not really an event as such and the associated one for those that won't change their main/sub has already been done as that was the "pick one of the lvl75 subclass passives without being restricted by w/e your subclass is" event..
yea I would not call that an event - but I agree with everyone on here - we need something fun to get the players excited again. There is a vibe with the game went an event is happening.
They could introduce a dueling event. After X number of duel wins you collect tokens to trade in for goods. Keep duels to within class ranges (D, C, B, A, S) and/or having to use a special event weapon or during duels all weps/armor/jewels are +0 (just thinking about keeping it about the skill of the player instead of how +'d they are.)
Or, make it so anyone who participates X number of times gets tokens to turn in. More wins than losses = Gold token. More losses than wins = Silver token. After a certain # of tokens are reached, turn them in for goods.

They could make a transformation for that.
and it puts every one on equal ground. say for instance, it makes every one same lvl, same Pdf/M df, HP/CP/MP, and passives don't stack in effect. Unable to take buffs while in transformed state.

The original independance day event in C3 was a raid boss event. It was the first event where the armies spawned right outside every town exit in every town in Aden. Every mob in tha army dropped several items and the raid bosses dropped full items. They spawned about every 4 hours, tons of loot for everyone that was on when they spawned.
I had to make 3 alts to hold all the enchants, compressed shots and buff scrolls I got. Made tons of adena off that event.
It was almost as good as Chaos week use to be on PTS
that event was fun yeah but these days all you would need to do is get a cov archer group and farm them so if something alike the mobs need to be stronger/harder to kill then that..
You're out killing mobs and randomly after killing one, seven elpies or fairies or little piggies or whatever spawn and start running all over the place and you have say 15 seconds to kill them all for a reward.
This would essentially work like some of the quests out there now...kill mobs and then a quest mob appears.
Party size can determine the spawn amount...the more people in a group the more that spawn. Where you hunt determins the level of reward(s)

I always liked that event too, Kruken! Even when on solo (if it's the one I'm thinking) you could kill most of the mobs except the boss and get some stuff.
I came across about 6 of those groups by myself--couldn't even scare up a clanmate at the time. Still got great drops!
Though if I recall, the last time they did one similar (there have been 2 since c3 with these armies, yes?), it didn't seem to me there were as many mobs. I caught some on TI and some near Orc Village the last time.

Yes you are talking about the same event. They had the Independance Day raid army event. Then they had it for holloween but the armies spawned in different places. Both those first 2 events every mob in all the armies dropped either buff scrolls, wep/arm enchants, Sp scrolls or compressed shots all depending on the lvl area they were in. The mobs in the newb area dropped top NG weps too.
After those first 2 raid army events they nerfed they hell out of the drops. The rest of the raid army events only 1 or 2 mobs in the army dropped anything the rest had normal drops. IMO C3 was the last of the good events that didn't involve collecting hundreds of event items for a minute change of getting something worth while.
I do admit that I did enjoy the last treasure piece/bunny event. The odds of getting something really decent were better than we have seen in a long time.
