Okay... this is dead horse, I know, but if we don't put enough pressure on the site mods I don't think anything will get done.
The library has been updated what? once? in the last year...
lineage2.plaync.jp & lineage2.plaync.co.kr both have almost complete libraries and update regularly...
Is is so much to ask for the site mods to just copy and paste some of the links from those sites to ours...
Every time I introduce a new player to L2; be it a friend of mine, a co-worker, or a player from another game, I tell them the same things. I talk about how great the game is for textures and poly count (compared to other games). They all want to know that if they get their new characters up to lvl that they have something they can stand to look at and there is nothing for me to show them
I can't get a visual reference on any of the weapons added since c4 or Interlude, and none of the new armors or sets have been placed in the right sections of the library... and i highly doubt many new players know Japanese or Korean well enough to navigate those sites and find what they need to know.
How hard can it be to upload some screen shots for the library? Come on...
YES YES YES YES MILLION TIMES YES UPDATE YOUR SITE HIRE MORE PEOPLE TO UPDATE IT WE PAY THE MONEY YOU KEEP UP THE SERVICES!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
This is part of the whole reason Siren was promoted to Assistant Community Manager.
If you read the interview that L2 Vault did with her last week, you'll see that most of her work is focused on updating the website.
It is a dead horse, but they at least have a crash cart out and paddles. Pretty soon we'll hear that high-pitched whine of electricity and "CLEAR!!" as the horse is brought back to life.
I certainly hope so...
Speaking from experience, it is not that difficult to arrange an archive of images and links...
Hell, some FANSITES have more accurate libraries than this site...
I have a great respect for NCsoft and Lineage II, but this site is just shabby by comparison and needs to be kept on par.
Also, to the new community manager, I wish you all the best luck and I hope you enjoy working with Lineage II as much as I enjoy playing it. If there is anything I can assist you with just let me know.
PS: Can a horse actually be defibrillated? I am currious now...
