It has always been my impression that this server was truly something special. I know I could have been kidding myself--I also know the merger idea is important to a lot of other players.
I resigned myself probably 5-6 months ago that this was going to happen and that Lionna would be involved.
Somehow I didn't expect the disappointment and sense of loss.
I'm trying very hard this afternoon to think ahead and to imagine that somehow the unique and great parts of Lionna will be a significant part of whatever the hell we call this new server (as if that matters!)--but today I'm sad.
I won't derail the name thread above, but you want a name for the new server?
Seriously, why ask? You didn't ask about the merger! You didn't ask about "when?"! You didn't ask about "with whom?"!
Hell, you didn't even ask our opinions on "how?"!
So my response on the name is what-difference-does-it-make what we think now?
Call it whatever you think. I vote for "Ignored"......
Funny part is with an earlier merge some ppl hadn't trasnfered
Although for myself I need to say nothing goes over normal
times for siege or other events. They only need to fix "radar"
and Teon would be a much bette place...
There have been many requests for merges in many threads, Drakkos. So, in a way, they were listening and are combining the lowest populations.
And, yeah, Maurin. It would have been interesting to go up against Kain, now that I know what absolute jerks they are!!! :) But NCSoft made lots of money transferring people.

that would mean, less $$$$$$ of course.
see the flow of the latest services..
on day NC realeased name & sex change = $$$
about a month or more NC released server transfer (free name change) = $$$
after 4 months and the majority of the servers being empty and almost dead server merges.
do you think that by doing them the exactly opposite , they d get ANY $$$? nah
I dont see why ur so bumbout man, you need to see this as a new adventure that begins instead of ends.
It will help us out if a few ways im sure. Yes it wont be perfect and yes it wont be lionna anymore as we knew it, but it could become a very awsome and better Lionna as well.
Market will be better, more ppl to talk to and play with, theres the PvP side (im not interested much) but for those who are, it will Breath new life into it.
I duno, but im looking at this with positivity and i think it will all workout, ive been here since OB and alot of ppl on these forums have made it sound very bad everytime a new thing comes along, but it never was and we kept going.. For the weaker ones :p that couldnt take those changes.. well they left the game or to bartz ... :D
But we are tuff, im sure we are guna be having a blast still.
My WS might actually have ppl to sell stuff to again... wewt!!!!! :D
I duno, i think its all guna be great and ppl worry to much.... its a game afterall, lets have some fun ok.... ;)
Helldereth, I'm so looking forward to this now that the anticipation is nearly making me pee myself.
Can't wait! I just know everything wrong with L2 will be fixed now because many knowledgeable people have written time and again that such is the case.
No botting, better drops, amended drop tables, more sensible game design, intelligent development planning in the future, and taller dwarves--all will be made okay because servers are merging.
I'll bet the air will be sweeter, sun brighter, grass greener, and the mobs will be slower and weaker--almost heaven.
.....just yanking everyone's chain (lol).
I couldn't give a [censored] less about this merger now. Don't care and in all seriousness it's not going to accomplish or change a **** thing. I'll just have to learn a few clan tags I've never seen before.
I think we'll all be fine and I think none of this will matter in a month and that it isn't worth the least little upset.
So really, I'm fine with the mergers at this point. I don't think it's a good or even modestly worthwhile idea, I think it was handled horribly, and I think it's going to be a lot of to-do about nothing.....but those opinions don't mean this game is worth any other investment of energy or consideration.
It actually took a post from Listof (which pains me to no end to admit) to help me get over being ******.
Now I'm just indifferent--which I'm reliably told is a much better approach to the game.
I've finally caught on that having expectations is my problem. The better path for me is to expect nothing--even NCSoft can't under perform to that standard.
I personally like the idea of over doubling the population. I can see where you would be disappointed, but I never really cared much for that stuff.
My only problem is my friend(s) may quit because of this, and if they do... Well, my anti-social [censored] has no plans on putting in effort to make new ones, so I'd be gone as well = \
Kain is not such a bad server, you won't get much competition for clan halls since 3 were for sale last i checked before the announcement, you'll get a great crafter team and most griefers are gone.
I don't know for politics since I never meddled into this. :p
Maybe there are some jerks, I rarely get annoyed though.
was looking forward 2 meeting you but I guess that won't happen now.

The problem is this. they never ask if Lionna wanted this . no one voted and the forums was full of don't touch Lionna. But they said because most people wanted it so they did it. BS.....tell the truth "Were merging servers bend over and deal with it" I would accepted that better then the lies.
Yes the market will get a hell lot better and that good for the server....me I can care less I have everything I need and what I don't have I have the Alts (WS, BH) to get it.
Yes we get more people and that good for making new friends but we also get more [censored] we only have a few left on Lionna and now were about get more :(
A lot of my friends are quiting because of the merge well that's right there is the worst part. people are loosing they name that people have known for years. Clan halls that they have had for years. and might even loose clan names.
So now it's all going be a big race.....who can log on the fastest and get the clan halls and get you name or clan name. Just so we can have a higher population which I bet won't even = 2k and were at 1.2k now with 1.5 on the weekend. and I bet over 50% will be bots. In fact all I see if people I known for years botting with a ton of arrows on the ground (by the way thanks to the botters I need the arrows for my pr).
Any way it's coming it's no stopping it I'm about ready as I can be for it. my SH is on bartz in case this goes south and most of my names have been saved.
As far as clan hall if we get one again yay if not o well it's not the first time a MMO screwed me it won't be the last :(
I cannot comprehend why anyone would be annoyed with any aspect of these mergers other than the possible loss of a clan hall or perhaps a name change.
I mean I'm as nostalgic as anyone about Lionna's history, I was a part of it from beta up until last August but merging with another server is awesome for this server and for all the serrvers merging together.
Why anyone feels bad about not being consulted about it is somewhat farcical, wise up ffs, what possible reasons could you have for being against this? The only thing that is really going to change is your server name and in return you get a better populated server which opens up so many more opportunities and possibilities for everyone.
That is about as relevant as the price of cheese in Croatia is to this topic.
Are you saying you don't want any more people on the same server as you that like to pvp? Because that would be pretty silly after moving your SH to Bartz.
Please explain because you have completely lost me.
Yeah Devilstar, in a way I think you're right. I've done a complete 180 on this topic.
It doesn't seem to me these mergers are going to accomplish anything worthwhile.
So we go from 1200 a day on average to 2000 a day. Over the next few months they'll be another 'round' of mergers centered around Bartz and Devianne and we'll get down to 2 or 3 NA servers--meaning we'll have to do this again. Since nothing else in the game is changing, after that we'll get down to 1 NA server.
I'm willing to admit they won't cause anything bad to happen, curiously few seem able to admit these mergers can't really cause anything good to happen either (lol).
End of the day they are a first, meaningless step down a predictable path that will have more of the same steps before too long.
It's funny that by NCSoft's own suggestion, server health is around 4k accounts and none of these mergers will come close to it and the 2 NA servers they left out will actually end up being SMALLER than the 3 newly merged ones!
So we go from 8 (ave from 1-2k) down to 5.....(ave from 1.5-2k). Kinda puts this "plan" into perspective.
It has always been my impression that this server was truly something special. I know I could have been kidding myself--I also know the merger idea is important to a lot of other players.

/agree.
...although I did put in some name votes, just for the fun of it...and in the hopes that the names will actually be considered (mine or others, doesn't matter).
I have the sense of loss as well. I'm trying to stay positive about it, since I honestly don't think there's much we can do now except hold on to our butts and ride the wave (or quit the game)...but it is a little disappointing. I have this sense that NCsoft is implementing it as a last-minute idea and trying to rush everyone through it. They could have given a bit more notice imho, and/or done a community-wide vote, etc. I also think it's dirty pool to take people's money for server transfers, then put a bunch of people back in with the servers they paid to leave.
As always, that's just my 2 cents. And like I said, there's not really anything we can do about it except either go with it, frustrations and all, or quit. Neither is a great option, but who knows...it might end up for the better. :)
I cannot comprehend why anyone would be annoyed with any aspect of these mergers
you said it yourself, DS, you were PART of Lionna's history. you didnt actually create history. none of White order, or LittlePigs, or Mirage or star NONE of you MADE history. nope, not even with the first successful valakas raid. cause anyone can raid valakas!
Lionna is (or WAS) the only server that picked up something complex, ran with it, and made a name of it.
this is known formally as Roleplay. its not something youll find in very many places in L2 outside Lionna if at all.
how is Roleplay making history?
on two frontiers: in game a lot of stories actually made up their own bits of the story behind Lineage2. one such story involves an elf from the future, too. out of game Lionna.com (sold), and L2RPA.org are (were) sites for the community developed by Roleplayers. the pet information site L2pets developed originally by Karashana of Lionna before she quit (in C4 iirc) picked up by a member of Erica (allwine) and continued.
and now, the server that made a name as the Unofficial Roleplay server is being kicked in the ****** merging to some other no-name server.
now players who have made a name for themselves, carved a reputation, and forged friendships are being kicked in the ****** cause it COULD very well be that the servers that are merging have identical player names/clan names/pet names.
good fight.
i vote for server name DonkeyPunch, cause this is what it feels like.
Pfft--it would be history within the community Devil.
Think of it this way:
In "small town A" a bunch of old has-beens (or never-were's if you like) form a fast pitch softball league in 1970.
Over the years they give the town something to do on summer nights and from time to time the teams within the league do something notable.
Maybe one year (1978) one of the teams goes to State Championship for old guys fast pitch softball leagues.....another year (1987) an old guy pitcher sets the state's record for strike outs.....etc.
In 2000, 30 years after it starts, the county refuses to continue having the baseball fields maintained and the state decides to collapse the whole system and "old guy fast pitch softball" goes away.
Did the men who played accomplish anything? Were there heroes? Did they write any history?
You could argue that these plumbers and truck drivers and farmers didn't really DO anything. "It was just a stupid game".
"It's not like it was real baseball!". "They didn't solve world hunger, for christsakes!"
But for 30 years in this example people were entertained, and men competed, and for a moment here or there--a hero of sorts emerged...maybe just for a minute or two.
Would it matter 20 years after the collapse of this fictional league if you had been a pitcher for "the Bombers" or the lead-off man for "the Dudes"?
.....it would to those guys. Maybe ONLY to those guys--but they'd care. And the guys who played against them in this pretend, pointless, meaningless league who tried to hold onto youth for just a little bit longer--it would matter to them.
I played on that league in that nowhere town irl, btw. I still have some folks who remember one stretch where I hit over 600 for 10 games (lmao). To me and to them that was history--it's not in a book anywhere.
When Olorae conspired to move forward events to allow Shilen to possibly increase her influence (this would be the goddess of the underworld we're talking about--lol) in our game world--and came into conflict with an angry Drakkos who was her clanmate......it was a moment. All present created that moment--spontaneously and through their talents and effort. Before that night the story of Olorae was woven into the play of many--and it made perfect sense she was attempting what she was. It made perfect sense that Drakkos was beside himself with anger and feeling torn between being betrayed and his loyalty and devotion to Olorae...
In RP that night I felt just about like I did when I hit over 600 for 10 straight games--like I was really good.
It's all the memories. Lionna has many tied to it, as does any server or any person who plays within that server. It's sad that we're losing Lionna...or that anyone is losing the server they called home...I suppose it would feel like a 'death in the family' to some. But the concept of the merge (the more I think about it) is exciting...we can create NEW memories with NEW people and climb a new ladder of goal-reaching, politics, and economics. It's sort of like we're all starting the game over with a clean slate, but with all of our toons and gear in tact. As someone mentioned a while back YES it will suck if people lose their names. I went through it in the move back to Lionna. BUT in a merge/transfer you get the chance to start over, in a way.
So anyway...I think it would be best if we all try too focus on the positives. But as always, that's just my two cents. :) I'm not trying to belittle anyone's frustrations or concerns, as I have my own as well. But there's only so much we can do, and at this point we can either love it, hate it, or quit.

it took 4 years to get lionna to where it is now. loosing 4 years of work to the depths of "never-was" is incomprehensibly stupid. attempting to rebuild what once was KNOWING it will be again torn down on the next merge is pointless.
thanks for 4 years of memories Lionna.
after that, i am not sure what to say. i'll stay at least until my timecard expires. after that, given the game isnt the same i might take up paintball as a much ... less disappointing hobby.

And in paintballing people don't have jewelry that costs £3,000,000 or is only available by raiding Fort Knox, that protects them magically from impact

I'm not saying it's not stupid. I'm just trying to stay positive in the midst of transition. I am however sad that we will be putting some memories into the past, and some awesome people are deciding to move on from the game because of the merge. It DOES stink that 4 years on our server gets shot down the tubes...heck, I just transferred BACK to Lionna in the past couple months because I've always considered it my home, so I'm feeling a sort of knife-twist of irony. But...as I've also said we either go with it or quit. I personally won't quit unless something major happens (like ANOTHER merger...that would indeed be stupid). I just love this game WAY too much. ;) I for one in the meantime will be carrying Lionna's history and memories with me, my hubby, our toons, and our friends to the 'new' server, carving out a new history and new memories...and to try to enjoy it while it lasts.

You know what I find really interesting is how you, Spud and others like you used to rag on me and some others after we got all nostalgic after deciding to leave Lionna because it was "not the same" just as it is about to be that way for you.
Your "new" server will be whatever you make of it, just like you made Lionna what it was for you and your friends. You'll still be able to roleplay and do everything you did before, people will associate the new server with roleplaying just as they did Lionna because they know that this new server will be where those people reside.
Seriously this is a good deal for you guys and you are blind, ignorant and incredibly stubborn if you can't see that. You get another server's population which opens up so many more possibilities and opportunities for all divisions of the community and whilst I don't roleplay, the merger is an absolute [censored] godsend for any roleplayer with half an imagination.
Ya, I agree with WoS here. I think server merges are going to be a lot more fun than you guys of doom think. At least everyone you know will pretty much still be there, your friend lists pretty much intact, not to mention the shops will still be located where they are... I mean, you'll be able to find Stumpy and Yagi and all of that!!! It's not going to be that much difference.
All you will have is a boost in population and a new name for a server... the name which you only see on log in.
I guess I was always one who looked forward to change... like Drakkos, whose first response was dismal, he is embracing the new change and looking forward to it.
is not an RP friendly community. never was. the people that play Kain had the Darkmotion Orc zerg at one time in its past which didnt really see fruition of more than 1 member over 40. thats about as close to roleplay as Kain ever saw.
the only involvement Kain players will see of roleplay will be the wishing well which i digress will still be as unpopular and undervalued as it is on Lionna.
Lets face facts, any "community" that will exist on new server B will very quickly rise and fall. this merger is an opportunity, yes. the opportunity for what? for players who have had enough of the "PVE or Roleplay Server" tag to make and establish a bigger end game, a game on a server full of full on war. full of KOS forever to any player that dares associate L2 with anything other than PVP.
the biggest insult to any end game clan on lionna is "Lol RPer" and yes, simply calling someone (other than Sharlanna) that is a quick way to KOS forever.
for what it's worth Lionna's Roleplay community is facing the merge with not only dismay but also frustration and anxiety; drakkos seems to be the only player ive met who looks forward to the merge so he can sell stuff to morons.
this is not an easy change! it does NOT simply involve putting a new name on the server.
lets turn the tables a bit, how would Bartz feel if its name was changed, all wars dissolved, and was merged with a server full of low levels?
i'd imagine the higher end would log in, fire off a full war list, and start again. then when competition got so fierce for simple hunting grounds, people would wake up and realize "man i need 9 more live players just to fight for my hunting grounds, and get rolled when the players i roll return with 18, essentially loosing any exp i might have otherwise gained, and having made 18 new enemies, ive earned a war i cannot fight"
hello!!!!!!!!
now bring that down a buncha levels to the common Roleplayer. take it to the low 60's where theres tons of levelling spots and even more players now that the server has been merged.
this is aggravation beyond measure.
merging servers might be great for accountants who cant find a reason to keep a server open for so few players. but it makes actually playing L2 a full time job. this is what makes Lineage2 such a small game in the first place. 10million players of wow cant all be wrong! something is there that keeps them there, and doesnt provide headaches like lineage2. i'd wager its the instanced levelling, the disassociation of PVE and PVP, the rather ridiculously powerful armor and weapon combinations and benefits (hi, i am S grade, ive spent a year of my life to get here, and i have 1 armor choice. wow, great.)
this is not what i signed up for. this is not what lionna used to stand for. this is not the way L2 should be played. not the way ANY game should be played.
this "Opportunity" spells the final blow to low levels no matter what you would tell me otherwise.
if you need further proof lets put the scenario out there.
player A levelling solo level 61, out in say silent valley. player B who has been recently rolled by higher levels, and is angry decides to go hunt lowbies to feel better. player A is rolled seemingly at random, and obtains a war declaration by player B.
clan of player A decides player A is a threat to the clan, so kicks. war is decidedly dropped, player A goes about his business, and player B rolls player C, who repeats the aformentioned steps to roll player A.
this is NOT an unfamiliar scenario. it happens EVERYDAY in L2 and i can prove it. look at Gustin forums. the cycle never ends of their trash talking CD vs NM. everyday someone from CD rolls NM, and vice versa all Higher levels finding lower levesl to fight.
lets look at Lionna: the alleged hero NovaroS in the MRT shoots and kills level 20 dwarfs who took 30 seconds to step into the arena to see the WH manager.
the BS stops here. i wont have any more of it. you now need level 76 before your opinion counts on a forum, and before youre not seen as low level scum. and thats just not right.
Reading this thread reminded me of that saying "When the winds of change blow, some build walls and others build windmills". It appears to me that some members of the "RP Community of Lionna" have quite an affection to masonry...
Face it, Lionna is gonne be merged with Kain and there is absolutely nothing that you are gonna change about that, cry and whine all you want but it's a fact.
So do yourself and everyone else a favour and look at the chances this merge offers rather than at what you "loose" cause of it.
solution-oriented thinking > problem-oriented thinking
Of course you can also choose the easy way out and quit the game, but that's quite cheap if you really like the game and whatever "RP community" you built up here. (Note: I have seen about 2 RPers since I play on Lionna (C3) so I don't quite know what all this fuss is about, but perhaps it's just cause I could care less about RPing and play euro times, dunno)
I can't ague with much of Spud's characterization. I'm at a level where I think I'm going to be too low to do very well on the new server.
As part of a rather 'casual RP clan' that doesn't have a lot of force, I'm not sure how it will go.
But I still like L2 a lot. I still have goals I want to achieve. I am mostly looking forward to the merge because it will provide a few hundred more players to fleece....erm....do business with.
For the record, I'm not a "glass is half full" OR a "glass is half empty" person. I think both are rooted in avoidance. I'd argue there is "an exact amount of water in that ****ed glass--and it is either enough or not enough based on your circumstance!"
I've adjusted to this merger though, not by telling myself fantasies or making up wishes, dreams, and hopes. I think for me personally this is going to be a hard conversion (as our clan slowly disintegrates over the past days).
I've adjusted simply by reminding myself that I like the game and that there are things I want to do in it.
Enough said. I'll give it another shot.
I'm not happy about what seems to be happening around me with friends and I freely curse the day NCSoft came up with this scheme.
End of the day I'm convinced it won't accomplish a **** thing but that it won't hurt much either.
So I'll look for opportunities, I'll miss old friends who have already quit over this, and I'll decide if it's still worth 15 bucks a month on the other side.
One thing I have to say, I respect the decisions of those who feel this is "the last straw". We all know this isn't a simple game to play. You commit a LOT of time and energy into everything. For any who walk away at this point--I can understand that, too.....without calling them names or belittling their impressions and feelings.
Their belief that "this is too much" is every bit as valid as my belief that "this might be worth a shot" or the opinion others have that "this is going to be GREAT"--the opinion, like a glass with water in it, is very much based on CIRCUMSTANCE.
is not an RP friendly community. never was. the people that play Kain had the Darkmotion Orc zerg at one time in its past which didnt really see fruition of more than 1 member over 40. thats about as close to roleplay as Kain ever saw.
the only involvement Kain players will see of roleplay will be the wishing well which i digress will still be as unpopular and undervalued as it is on Lionna.
Never have I come across a more negative human being than you sir. Do you treat life outside of L2 with the same brand of pessimism? If you do then I truly feel sorry for you.
Most of Lionna has never roleplayed. Most of those who never roleplayed tolerated it. Most of Lionna is just like most of others servers - PvP, PvE in whatever mix you want to beleive in. Statistically, "roleplayers" have been insignificant. Just because you create a website and have a score people call themselves roleplayers hang out on it and beat chests on forums does not make Lionna a roleplaying server and never made it so - unofficial or whatever you want to imagine it as.
Also, most self-styled "roleplayers" on Lionna don't actually roleplay. The ones who do suck horribly at it.
Q.Q if you must, but stop claiming to speak for the server. Not that you will, but it needed to be said.

We have different opinions about these things, you and I.
I've known a lot of role players on Lionna. How many are there? Well right now considerably less--just like there are many less of all players on our server.
But statistically insignificant? I'd say there have been as many as 500 or more toons at one time that considered themselves as roleplayers of one kind or another.
Even when the server had 3500 people on it that wouldn't be statistically insignificant.
You're right that these people pve'd, raided, worked economy, tried sieges--of course they did.
But they also identified themselves as roleplayers. I may be underestimating that number. In October of 2006 when I joined Echoes they had over 65 active toons and ALL of them were roleplayers. Templars was bigger and many of them were roleplayers. This names 2 clans. Hell, there might have been as many as 700 or more players at that time.
As for saying "most self-styled roleplayers didn't actually roleplay".....again, every single person I know who identifies themselves as a roleplayer does do active role play at least some of the time in game.
And finally, I've found just the opposite. Regarding character development I think many of Lionna's roleplayers are extremely imaginative people who put a lot of effort into their character's background and who I've personally seen develop "open" scenes brilliantly.
Obviously you have no tolerance for the RP side of the game (which is an mmoRPg after all). That's fine. To each his own. I'm not at all critical about your dislike.
But the comments you've made here are exactly opposite of what I've seen. Since I know what I've seen and experienced I can only conclude that when it comes to what RP is or isn't on Lionna, that you're basically full of [censored].
Sorry.
OMG spud, you sound like you're merging with Bartz or Franz!
You are going to double your population or something, right? So, what maybe 3K players? It was like that before transfers.
I was on Lionna for 3 years and even have real life friends and ingame friends in the RP community -- I was even in Rising Blades ally -- and I RARELY ran into RP... except for Turalyon and Sharlanna and Tyrandial on special occasions.
You are just creating a terrible scenario in your mind... and you should be careful, cuz you may just walk into it!!
To be honest, as a kainite... I think many people 'overreact' on the scale of pvp that happens on our server. Ofcourse there are griefers, there are people who pvp vigurasly and so on, but there's a good population of players on kain that can be counted as 'average joe' players, doing bits of this and thats.
If RP really was this present and strong on Lionna... It should have no problem to survive the merge. If you love rp, you rp.
I can understand the frustrations about the loss of history/names, but these kind of things can't really be changed... It'll happen, try to make the best of it.
(I'm sure Roman civilisation didn't want their doom to befall them either, although it did... so what could the people do? Live on...)
As a role-player, I am taking the server mergers as a positive thing.
Those that do not role-play may not totally understand the discord about losing their server name. It's not so much that Lionna is the unofficial or official role-play server as it is home for the role-players there. As someone mentioned, it is a community and how big or small that community is, is irrelevant the fact is, it's a community and we enjoy it.
A server name is a server name and it's really irrelevant until a role-player says, "This server is going to be my home." From that point on, that server is home and becomes part of their lore as they work to establish themselves, their friends, enemies, allies, and destiny. So when the server name goes away, so does some of their lore not just the server lore, but their lore as a player.
Those that do not role-play, do not like role-players, claim to be role-play tolerant or any other mixture but do enjoy pvp and pve, you have to look at role-play from your pvp/pve perspective. PvP/PvE is something that makes the game enjoyable to you, but I may not like it or even understand the enjoyment factor. Role-playing to us is like PvP for you just a different way to enjoy the same game. Some role-play on the darker side and thoroughly enjoy PvP and rolling over other groups and that is part of their role-play.
Can we work in the fact that there are several worlds all similar into role-play? Sure. Can we work server mergers into role-play? Sure. The Giants had technology that has laid dormant for ages. This technology is what boosted their egos to the point of feeling Godly. Ages ago, it was discovered that several worlds existed all similar to one another seemingly playgrounds for the Gods. But this information has been kept secret by the high orders of the different races. A few generation ago, technology was discovered that allowed the Giants to roam between the different worlds one of the major steps in proving their God like status. This information was also kept secret and used by only the highest Lords, Magistrars and Barons - until recently. Deep inside Giant's Cave, in a long lost set of rooms, lay the plans and instructions for Cruma Tower and its true purpose the ultimate proof of the Giant's God like powers the merging of worlds. Why, with this power the Gods themselves would have no recourse, but to grant the Giants the status of Gods. This technology was never completed and put to use by the Giants, but now the greed of power united those in control on the different worlds today and the plan was set forth for an alliance to rule over everyone. Troops were sent to the various worlds to create powerful clans and alliances when the time is right, the technology will be unleashed merging two worlds into one with a single super power to rule.
So there, we have a basis for the role-playing community to continue and accept this change as a new part of our lore our destiny a lot of chaos and turmoil is sure to ensue but it is also a time to strengthen friendships, forge new alliances and rewrite history.
I do attend the Wishing Well...but I missed last night, too. :(
Let's remind each other to make the next one it will be the last one on Lionna. Dam......it was Dooms day this week 2......i was going 2 wear my Doom Light :(
Has anyone thought this is going to attract old players to come back to the game that have quit? I am back to see what happens with this whole merger and so are some of my old friends. I have a good feeling about this whole thing and that it will all work out for the most part.
However Kain was around 1k accounts per day with Lionna at 1200 or so--according to some sites.
Combined they aren't going to be anywhere near 3k.
It would be great if former players returned! I'd love to see it.
End of the day--I'm still betting that 1) this accomplished nothing, and 2) we get "merged" (synonym for screwed) again within 8 months.

Thanks for hopping in here on this. :) I'm sure everything will be fine. I'm going to keep chugging along. ^^
whats this post doing here????
Dont get it as to why it was moved.... This will be a new server, new blood, new adventure, dont really want to see negative thread from Lionna being re-talked about here....
OP just talks about how Lionna was, but we r not on that server no more....
I suggest we clean this new server forum a lil and remove all the crap that was linked to lionna/kain and just start as new....
PS
Not pointing the fingers at noone here in perticular, just trying to see if we can get a bit of common sence going here for the new forum.
