Greetings to all of you Kainenites. I won't ask where Abel went.
It seems that in three weeks' time we are to become close acquaintances. In an effort to better understand those with whom I will soon be sharing server space, I would like to greet you all.
But I am not just a good Samaritan, oh no.
I am not sure of how many of you are aware, but Lionna is (was?) the unofficial Role-playing server. We are the home of the bulk of the Lineage 2 Role-Playing Association (http://www.l2rpa.org), and home of the longest running event in the history of Lineage 2, the Wishing Well.
I would like to take this opportunity to invite any of you who were ever curious about Role-Playing to come by the site and visit.
This merger doesn't have to be a bad thing: It can see a growth in both open PVP and number. as well as a greater exposure to the varying communities.
Along with Jkoster, I'll add my howdy.
Lionna had always been an active forum troll haven, a political nightmare, and the unofficial RP home (to name a few tendencies).
I'm sure we'll come to at least know something of one another. Who knows, although no one asked for this, maybe it will turn out okay in the end.
I have no idea how you feel about your server--presumably loyal and attached.
I am still trying to come to terms with the part that is the death of Lionna so today I'm not exactly overjoyed with this scheme.
I expect we'll have a chance to say hello (or more probably you'll shout "pwn'd noOb") at some point.
So, howdy server whatever-the-hell-we're-going-to-be-called.
~D~
Hiya folks, there should be plenty of room for rpg on the new server as it's not like the current Kain pvp clans are grieving our own carebear clans like Lunatris or AngelBrigade just expect to get teased a bit for the first week or so but once the novelty wears off so does the extra attention..
Hi Kain peeps - Hope we can all get along after the new merge...
Shall certainly be interesting politically for the first month or two.
What normally wins on Kain, Dusk or Dawn?
What normally happens with Epic RB's and/or quest RB's on Kain?
Do shops use MDT and/or Fantasy Isle on Kain?
I'd ask question about the market over there too but it'd end up lengthy... (though knowing your AA price and shot prices would be cool :) )
The answers are quite easy, even for people from Lionna:
- you want to play 7 signs: be committed to it
- you want epic: fight for it
- most people don't go further than Giran for shops. I tried both MRT and FI for several weeks and you just make less money there than in Giran, even with MY crafting prices (i.e. 10 a for mats, 25 to 40 a for SS/SpS/BSpS and 1K for weapon/armor)
Thanks me and a few of my Ally made it last night and had a nice time. didn't see you thou but I will see 2 it I make it every week. and try join in when I get guts 2 do so :p

Actually, I'd term Lionna as "RP tolerant", in an intolerant sort of way (lmao).
Perhaps I can shed some light on us Lionnan's as a group.
Lionna has had 4 years (well, 3.5) of Byzantine politics with control usually residing in one top clan (fill in the name of choice depending upon which historical period you're referencing). There have been power struggles and all the attendant drama.
RP is a SUBCULTURE of Lionna almost. A fair # of players crossing clan and ally lines RP (some of whom are suprisingly powerful toons). But these players represent a pretty small % of the whole of the server.
Most of Lionna would resemble every other NA server at present--power centralized (meaning RB access, castle ownership, hero-ship) to a single clan and dribbled out to their alts and immediate friends.
The clan I'm in is small, RP serious, neutral--which does NOT describe most clans on the server.
"Most" would probably be most accurately described as perhaps 'small-to-medium sized, PvP oriented, trying to grow'.
It's a server of very saavy economic players and some phenomenal PvPers--which happens to have this subculture of RP.

Hey Hey, who are you calling a carebear, just cause I'm wearing this bear suite and handing out balloons!!!! :p

Take care kain peeps!
1. Mostly Dawn, with a once a year win by dusk, like, uhmmm, this week :P
2. You fight for them if you want them or you get lucky and snag it before other do when it spawns.
3. Giran is the place to craft and sell stuff. There tends to be a crafters corner over by the general store and weapons shop in front of the Warehouse Keeper.
Oh yeah! Craft at Wufstavs'!!!! (*shameless plug*)

You didn't? I was the one telling all the dwarf jokes!
I'm excited...and I know that a balance of sorts will be met, since we're all being thrown together into the mix. We're both losing our servers, there's no real move from one side to the other. It will be interesting to see what direction this will take things. ^_^
*waves to everyone*
Oh, as far as RP is concerned for me...I don't really RP in the traditional sense anymore. But I do enjoy things like fishing and exploring, feeding my pet addiction, and taking a BUTTLOAD of screenshots. lol ... I'm just here to have fun and help/meet people. :)

G'day Kaine players, look forward to kickin it on the same block (as AshleyHunter so elequantly put it) as you all. I have heard Kaine is more PVP orientated than Lionna which will be a good mesh with our RPers. So let the drama begin! hahahaha
Well... after Little Pigs finally killed Lionna, it always felt pretty much like a holding place to me. So this is what we were holding for, I guess.
When all that terror from above (flying pigs) was taking place I had a dream. they told me I didnt have a grasp of the game when I suggested that players of Lineage II could perhaps HAVE FUN now that the pigs have moved to Bartz.
Example: a dwarf clan on Lionna created the best fun I have ever had in this game when we all (alts every one--some like you say some powerful pvpers), just for fun, decided to seige Innadril. We were in vent cracking up the whole way. Two seige golems went unapposed and all the way to the cresting room. Mech golems terrorized individual defenders. Our control of the castle was brief, just long enough to take some screenies. The seige ended in our final zerg, when we were massacred on the road to the castle... it was hilarious and it was fun, because somebody had an imagination and wanted to have a good time.
Guess I hope there will be some folks with imagination on Liokain, Kaillionna, (god please let it be "Aria.") They always said "when pigs fly".... well?
I love pvp. But, at the end of the day if we can't get down and get crazy, and do something off the wall, Ill just set up my shop and go play some other game most times.
ps the dwarves eventually took giran for two seige periods. Giran should belong to dwarves... the taxes were low, the spirits were high. Maybe an alt clan of dwarves, all the serious players of the server its members, together for the purpose of communicating and having fun could be a unifying factor making the new server a new world for us. (I cant stop dreaming... sorry :-D
Ya, Hammerstrike was one of the most delightful siege forces in my experiences on Lionna.
Nothing will ever erase the hilarity of the throne room doors bursting open and an army of dwarfs rushing in to certain and swift death.... which, in itself is a miracle that anyone could push that F key, since we were all rolling on the floor in hysterical fits of laughter!!!!
The part were we stood at Giran gate pack in trying block WO from getting in only 2 get AOE owned that was funny as hell. I died on my BH so many times in that Seige yet I never had so much fun plus it was an easy and fun way delevel my Bounty Hunter
BabyAshley (http://home.comcast.net/~ashleymivida/BabyAshley.jpg) :D
I originally wrote this about the first Innadril seige I attended with Hammerstrike (as a 55 WS)...............
So. Joining Hammerstrike for their attack of Innandril Castle seemed like a pleasant way to spend a Sunday afternoon. My crafting chores were done for the day and for some reason I had little interest in squandering more hard-earned adena at the monster track .so I decided to tag along.
It took some time to gather all the necessary siege items one needs charms, combat point potions, greater healing potions, beer. And then I was ready.
I ported to Heine and pmd Salgrath to get invited into a party and was told to assemble with the other fighters on the Eastern bridge .
Oh, a bit about me would be in order I suppose. I am DrakkosCrafter (crafter of the dragon in the old tongue) and I am a journeyman Warsmith. Not so long ago I learned the skill sets to work with B-grade items. I generally venture into battle in my Doom armor with my trusty Art of Battle Axe in hand. Some day Ill splurge for the B-jewels to replace the old ones I have.
So I joined the nice dwarves of Hammerstrike on the East Bridge in Heine as we formed up into attack squads. Many of the dwarves whom I had not met before were outfitted much as I was, and there were some others assisting (mostly orcs ::sniff::). The Hammerstrike group was also assisted by another clan of higher level fighters, some of whom I did know. Since we had to wait for the parties to be buffed and formed it seemed a good idea to have a beer.
I dont know if youve ever been at a siege in Heine but its a LONG way to that darned castle! I had summoned my Golem buddy (I call him Trike) and the two of us wheezed and huffed (that was me, actually) down the road towards the castle. We stopped to regroup on the bridge near the castle as we had gotten strung out a bit on the run. It seemed like a good time for a beer, to me.
Then with a hurrah we stormed onto the siege field for the first time! It was an inspiring site! About twenty-five dwarves and many golems along with the others who joined .a true vision of power.
As I came over the rise I saw a group of attackers on the field and without delay, I bravely sent my golem in to attack a caster .which seemed like a good time to have a beer. Trike was AWESOME. He shot his formidable cannon a couple times before he waded in to attack though in truth he could have lasted a bit longer. Now, I had strategically placed myself behind a really big rock (which some people tried to claim, absurdly, that I was hiding behind!), ready to pounce on the first unwary squishy that might happen by. Sure enough, I didnt have long to wait! As my party-mates were variously slaughtered around me I picked my target and launched my furious attack!
I believe there are still castle defenders talking about that attack even today! My hardest blows struck! One. Two. Another. 22 hitpoints gone. Then 8 hitpoints. Then I critted for 43! Ill tell you right now, there was a worried Necro in front of me by that point! She had to have help to kill me from her archer friends! Needless to say I went down stunned .which seemed like a fine time for another beer.
Back to town I went, my blood boiling! I summoned Trike and we headed back to the East Bridge to reform .which since it took a few minutes seemed like a reasonable time to finish a beer.
Well let me tell youin no time we reformed and made the trek back to assault that castle. Did I mention how FAR that ****ed thing is from town?
We again formed up on the bridge near the castle and flew onto the siege field. This time our tactics were improved and a longer-range battle ensued. Trike went in and out of battle a number of times along with the other golemswhile our archers took shots from a distance. I found myself engaged by the cowardly defenders even before I could get to my rock and somehow they landed TWO lucky shots which had me stunned again .and I couldnt find that darned Trike anywhere!
It occurred to me then that our tactics were falling a bit short! The thirty or so of us just couldnt get past the fifty or sixty of them. As I lay there thinking (and having another beer) I decided to see if there was another way!
Drakkoscrafter: hey, guys! Weve got a LOT of beer out here. What say we have a drinking competition and the winner takes the castle?
Can you believe no one even answered me?
Back to town and re-summoning Trike, we reformed our mighty party again. Since we had to wait on the bridge it seemed like a good time for a beer. Running and attacking is thirsty work!
This time as we launched our ferocious attack, we had to deal with traitors! Some attackers had joined the group so they could lull Hammerstrike into trusting them and when we left town they attacked us! Obviously they had to be overwhelmed first. But what was worse? There were DWARVES with the castle defenders! Yup! Saw them with my own eyes. Who would have thought a dwarf would have helped those one hundred and fifty defenders?
I got a few good licks in there somewhere on this rush Ill have you know! Of course they sent numerous orcs and archers after me because I was such a threat. You wouldnt BELIEVE how afraid those defenders were. When they stunned me again and Trike again disappeared (hes not a particularly well-trained golem) I decided it was time for another beer.
In town on the bridge with trusty Trike at my side, I had a beer while we reformed. I think my group was changing but it was getting a bit hard to remember. Once again we stormed the castle! What a fearsome sight we were! Did I mention how far that castle is from town?
This time the three hundred defenders were waiting off the siege field! We had them right where they wanted us. A running battle ensued, back and forth, back and forthit was very thirsty work and I had to retreat a bit to resummon Trike which gave me time to have a quick beer.
This time I actually found an adversary who trembled before me! I hitagainand again! 130 hitpoints gone! 148! Critical hit for 210! Me and Trike were a FORCE to be reckoned with. So of course the defenders singled me out and hit me twice and I was stunned again which was a good time to have a beer. I asked again if anyone wanted to have a drinking contest to settle the dispute but other than a laugh I got no response at all!
Obviously we had the defenders scared!
Back in town we assembled on the bridge for a beer. It took some time for us to remember why were there until LittleDwarfy said something about a castle. I remarked that the defenders had to be really worried about us at this point and off we stormed to take that castle!
In truth, the details of the fights are a bit vague as I try to recall them now. I remember being an absolute terror in the face of the five hundred defenders and that it often took many, many of them to bring me and Trike down. I certainly remember beer.
Six times I regrouped to throw myself at the seven hundred defenders! Our tough little group of thirty or so against hundreds! Blood and beer flowing golems whirring into the fray. Gods! What a day!
I couldnt remember which bridge we were assembling at somewhere in thereand there are a LOT of bridges in Heine. I stopped at each one and had a beer while I waited to see if it was the right one but the group didnt seem to be reforming at my bridges.
I have to say that it was an EPIC battle. Never before have so few dwarves attacked a thousand castle defenders and pressed them so hard. You could see the fear in their eyes at each rush we made.
This is as true and accurate account of the war over Innandril as I am able to give. Long live Hammerstrike! A couple more dwarves and I think we would have taken that castle (which was a LONG way from town!). You know? Writing is thirsty work too .
I tried to report you spud, but you'd already been reported. :(
(BTW, what are you trying to say when you say indemnifiable? I take it you combined two or more words to make one, but other than sounding like identifiable, I can't figure it out. x.x)
Won't ask age cause that's not polite to ask a girl ;)
I have never figured this out. What about it is unpolite? What could you possibly be ashamed of or are trying to hide?
I find it amusing that women have been taught to be ashamed of their age, yet think nothing is wrong with that. Also sad is adult women trying to look 17. What happened to the proud and graceful women?
Heh Shadow, I have no problem stating my age, but it's common sense that girls don't like to share theirs, in most of the cases (by the way, I'm gonna be 30 in August).
And I don't really have an answer for your problem. I'd never get facial plastic surgery, also because it's very very easy to spot that you've done one. I'd rather age gracefully than look artificial.

My Birthday is in August also. Only I will be 26.................................again :p

Easy to answer, Shadow... it's a male conspiracy that woman are only desirable if they are young and tight and thereby women's need to be partnered ^^ (of course, right?) As usual, centered around the "marriageability."
Somehow that is construed to be secretive about your age so that no one will suspect you've actually lived your life and have gained experiences... (omg! the shame!) but don't get me started!!!
Although, for me, in a gaming environment where the average age is mid-20s, it has more to do with mindset. But it's too late. My age is pretty well known for those who wanted to know.
And whatever your age is, I think people that are older than the average gaming age and still enjoy playing and have fun with online games are the best out there!!
My mom's 56 and she still loves to play Crash Bandicoot on my old (now hers) Playstation 1 and even calls me to ask for walkthrough guides! :) And I'm not kidding :)
I'm 47 (and a grandpa twice). My wife is 57. Age is what you make of it--and considering what life was like at 20 I wouldn't go back there if you paid me! (lol).
The great thing about aging is that it is so much better than the alternative.....
It's weird about the years chalking up like that. To say them is surreal... and of course, I feel like I'm 40... and I just turned 59.
And that's all that matters, Armie! Age is just a number, your real age is how you really feel. And how you act, and how you think. You seem to be a rather modern person as well, so in any case, i admire you!
Greets Alexis!
Now for this age issue. Age isnt important, its a persons personality! Oh wait hmmm is that one of my come on lines its kinda weak <<<<pages through the lil black book>>>> ummm yeah thats what I meant hahahaha :)
Hi Kain peeps - Hope we can all get along after the new merge...
Well I'll be gone for the merge, maybe if I change my mind later :p
What normally wins on Kain, Dusk or Dawn?
Dawn wins on Kain with few exceptions because sometimes someone like to play Festival and make Dusk win.
What normally happens with Epic RB's and/or quest RB's on Kain?
I don't know for Raid Bosses.
Do shops use MDT and/or Fantasy Isle on Kain?
Neither. Shops use Dion for D-Grade, then Giran and Aden with few things in Rune too. MRT and Fantasy Islands are more used by buffers. You can find an occasional shot seller in other towns.
I'd ask question about the market over there too but it'd end up lengthy... (though knowing your AA price and shot prices would be cool :) )
The average population is quite rich...but Kain has been backed up by dwarven crafting shops who maintained low prices. So even if CSS has been sold up to 30a, you could still craft yours for 100a a pack.

oO you have wrinkle issues, Tulp? Such a shame, since they mean you've actually USED your face and felt the emotions of being alive. IMO they should be celebrated.
Lol he is not 80 years old, I think he is in his 40s or 50s and ya he does have a great accent
yay for me, double-posting ftw!!
...anywho, I wanted to check out this 80-year-old comment...heya we're talking about Wrinkles!! He's only my most FAVORITE texan dwarfie ever. :) <3 <3 to him!! hehe
