Interested in when server transfer will be re-opened.
Currently i had transfered alot of gear to bartz to bring back cheap epics (cant buy a frint or baium etc in kain) Obviously now i cannot bring these back this week with the closing of transfers.
a friend who transfered from Kain is asking now that we're getting a merger if this means he can transfer back to Server B without having to wait out the full 6 months penalty ?
When he left there was no sign or hint that this was coming and all he wanted was a more active server to play on..
i think,
- if your friend is already on new server, he will remain on new. i mean, if he transferred to, for example, hinde, he will appear on server C.
- if your friend transferred to the server, which will merger with kain, then he fooled himself. after merger he will "untransfer" back to "kain + something".
- if your friend will transfer after the merger, he will be able to choose a server from the renewed list.
also, i will be pleased, if some NC representative confirms my thought.

Account Services
In order to facilitate the smoothest possible merge, all account services will be turned off one week prior to the merge. We are also turning off all transfers to the affected servers on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 (after the regular weekly maintenance).
We will be turning on all account services again, including server transfers, on July 8th after the maintenance.

guess you missed the part where it is common knowledge that a char once transfered cannot transfer back to the server of origin for a period of 6 months.. the question is now that after the merger his server will be changed ie different name et all if that means he can transfer back to it even though he still has a wait penalty of a few months tied to his origin server (Kain).

I would rather smack head againest the wall to be honest.
