Hinde and Gusting posts are mostly positive, people greeting and trying to know "other side".
Lionna is kind of negative in threads.
Sieg, Erica and Kain do not have that much posts about merges.
The general consensus on Lionna seems to be that we liked the way it was, we adapted to the situation after transfers and actually have a nice community of people (give or take the usual suspects).
Numbers don't really say anything about the state of a server, but for some reason NCSoft assumes it does *shrugs*
I personally welcome the people from kain, I just don't like the possibility to change my name since it kinda feels like losing my identity on this server - which might sound odd, but it's the most appropriate way to describe it.
Losing the CH also sucks but meh, there are worse things.
I don't think it sounds odd - the most legitimate complaint that I have read (imo) is about the possibility of losing one's name. These are characters, avatars - the name becomes an important part of the identity to us. But I also think that we can adapt to a changed name, eh?
I have noticed more posters coming around to the idea that, if we are going to merge (and maybe they prefer we didn't), let's do real mergers and not half-mergers. Example is Sieg + Erica - that server, merged, is still gonna be well below 2k. Actually it will still be the lowest pop server in the cluster.
Devianne and Bartz will go from being high(ish) pop to the 2nd and 3rd lowest pop, still well below the 3k mark.
1 East Coast and 2 West Coast servers are gonna make a much better distribution. But.. the East Coast is going to be a bit crowded. Solution? Give two weeks free xfer window off the new east coast.
Lionna is kinda negative because as a role-playing community they don't find a reason good enough to disturb the balance they have had --and they will, till July 8th. If you ask me, their discontent was expected.
to perform a roller-player activities, "the community" doesn't need clan halls, castles, fortresses, epics, advanced gear and, at end of all, any dominance in anything. roller-player thing is all about your soul condition, not something relating to the wars. let the strongest to fight and nobody will interfere your sugar things.

Yes, but we should clarify that by "they" we mean less than a dozen people that are active on the forums. We can presume they speak for all of Lionna united, but that is quite an inference.
And honestly I think all will be fine, even for them. It's in human nature to suspect the worst from change, even though the outcome is so often for the better. Just need to get past July 8th and they will realize: this is still a very low population server, we can still do all the things we did before, and not much changed except there are a few more people to group and barter with.
