OK, if I recall, you need to be a paying subscriber for 60+ days to generate trial codes, right?
Is there a form of trial account that allows a (potentially) returning player to reactivate his old account for a week or two? I got screwed up here because I thought I was doin that.. but I actually made a new account.. I don't want the same problem for him.
Can anyone help with this? My new account has not been active for 60 days yet. Thanks.
no there's no such thing ... there's trial accounts that basically give new people a chance to try the game so you can only create a new account, not renew an old one. And there's the returning friend program which if someone that has been inactive for a while uses a code you give him and renews his account you both get 2 weeks gametime free.But they got to actually pay to renew first
you have to pay for 3 months in order to send 7-day trials ("paid time" in your plaync account). afaik, 14-day trails are no longer available.
and, yes, trial account have all the same restrictions, the player can't shout (use "!" chat), throw out things etc.
another trial program is for returning users. if your account is not paid for 90+ days, someone, who paid for 3+ months, can send you a code. if you enter this code and just after enter a code of 30 or 60-days standard game time card, then:
- you will receive 15 or 30 days for free (1/2 of the card's time),
- someone, who sent you a code, will receive 15 or 30 days for free.
if you use 15-days card, you and your mats will not get free time.
if you don't use a time card, your account will remain not active.
So I could get a returning friend code, give it to him, and when he reacitivates his account basically he's gonnna pay for 30 days but get 45, and I'll get 15 days free?

Should your friend reactivate their account and pay for a minimum one month of subscription to Lineage® II, you and your friend will be automatically credited with 15 days of free game time each!
How does it work?
Any friend whose Lineage® II account has been inactive for at least 90 days is eligible for this program.
E-mail your friend a serial code by entering the requested information and clicking the Invite a Friend button below.
When your friend reactivates their game account for a minimum one month of game time with a credit card or a 30-day or 60-day game time card, they will be invited to enter the Reactivation Credit Serial Code. Once this process is complete, you will each be credited 15 days of free game time to your Lineage® II accounts. IMPORTANT: They must enter this code in order for you OR them to receive any credit. As long as they do enter the code, you will split the 30 day credit.
You can have a maximum of 4 invites 'live' at any one time. As soon as one of your friends reactivates their account and uses the Reactivation Credit Serial Code, we'll give you another one to send to someone else. If your first batch of four invites is successful with all four friends reactivating their account, you'll get 60 days of Lineage® II game time for free! Recruit more friends to come back for more free game time!
You will only receive your free game time if your friend reactivates within two months of the invitation being sent. And remember, they MUST USE the Reactivation Credit Serial Code that you sent them at the time that they reactivate their account!
