Has anyone heard any news or rumors of any changes to the manor system in the upcoming patch? I was hoping they would take some of the feedback into account and get something that works a little better for everyone. (ie - overall I think it is a great idea but the highly limited buy quantities combined with the highly limited window of opportunity to sell mean that many people simply cannot participate.)
If they implement some kind of system to limit the crops pr toon to be delivered, the farmer get more toons to deliver the crops.
No change there, only more toons delivering the crops.
You know I was able to sell my fruit on Bartz, which is currently the heaviest population of the NA servers. And I wonder whether manor is really a more efficient way for bots to farm mats than having a party with a spoiler.
I think a lot of those sales are just legitimate players beating you to the bunch. The amount they will buy is very limited - a single player can easily get enough fruit in a night to buyout an entire city's stock (if not several cities).
I'm not looking for a solution limited the number a player can sell. But I think there needs to be some variation in the timing.
OK, look at the mammon system. On Bartz you don't see botters doing things like making scrolls for sale. It's real players that are doing that. This is a very profitable activity. I'm convinced the reason it isn't botted has to do with the random location changing of the mammon npcs.
So I think some variation helps alleviate. NC probably doesn't want to increase the amount of mats that can be farmed per day using this system. But considering how many mats are used for higher level gear, perhaps they should.
Maybe the manor npc should not buy 100% of the resources all at once (ie, open up the gates in short bursts).
Or maybe NCsoft devs have some other creative solutions.
It's not gonna be perfect but I think it can be improved so that more people can participate in it.

There are several tools that allow players to duplicate items in Lineage II and since the last Update several of the worse work fairly consistently. That is why you are seeing people sell 150K B Cry, 900 A Weapon Enchants, ect.
So my point is the farmers don't need to sell those things. They bot/farm as normal and when they feel the account is in danger they duplicate throw the character in the market and sell as much as they can before server maintence or when they get caught. I don't think the mammon has anything to do with it really but I don't doubt it would give some legit people a chance.
I think you have it right about the limits but that also depends on the Manor Lord and that is the biggest problem - generally speaking the Personality Type who would be a Castle Lord Clan Lead generally don't care about the server community at all - the fact anyone ever puts the Tax Rate to 15% basically proves that.
I'm not saying all Clan Leads owning Castles are bad or what have you but most don't care - that is certain.
I would be surprised if tools that duplicate items are in commonplace use. The economy would look very different if that were so, IMO. And you wouldn't know which ones work unless you tried them, which I assume you did not.. so isn't it just speculation anyway?
Maybe when I am selling 400 EAC's people assume I am a bot or use a **** also.
owning a castle, taxing the hell outta people buying manor seeds, and grocer supplies means free cash. in the case of owning Aden thats free cash PLUS profit from other castles PAYING you.
reap the free money, deposit in alt clan's CWH funding. hey, its not as though it HASNT been done!!! this is very common activity and is the reason why everyone cares who owns Aden.

They are being used fairly often at the moment, given by a very small population but enough to show in the markets
But, like I said they don't normally do it because it is almost always caught within a week. Not sure what the dynamics behind that are but that is the way it works

I have not used them but I know for a fact they do work. NC can PM anytime they want if they want further information on that - I have not done anything wrong and I am totally against it
It is not however speculation
400 EAC's is possible however yes most people would assume that you have botted or hacked somehow because the majority of the time that is what would have had to happen for someone to get that many.
I personally don't assume people have but in the instances I mentioned I am certain the person used the tools because he named the character the name of the tool and sold items that he simply could not logically have any other way - on top of it he was bragging about it in shout to taunt the GM's
Nothing happened to him for at least a few hours

guys--it's not when you sell 400 eac's one time that anyone knows you're botting.
It's when you sell that many every week for a year that they know the toon is associated with botting.
You think a real person can farm 67,000,000 aa every 3 days for a year?
The answer to that is "no". Yet you see those toons reselling constantly.
That would be 6.7 million RED sealstones--every few days! A CLAN can't accomplish that. You'd be doing phenomenally to get 5000 red seal stones an hour! Which would be 120k in a day--far short of the mark.
We know they bot because we watch the market, the sellers, their inventory, and we see them again and again and again.
I regularly have a large amount of enchant scrolls for sell, but I rarely if ever hunt in the cata's or Necro's. Right now on Dev the scrolls and AA are so cheep it's just as profitable to buy them trade for enchant scrolls and sell them. Moral of the story is I hardly if ever look at someone selling alot of enchant scrolls as having cheated in any way. However the people selling hundreds of millions of AA I do, and never buy from them.

Why not a castleowners seller?

I don't think a real person can resell 67 mil AA every 3 days for a year. In GSS in manor week, maybe, if you are lucky with no competition around. In plain AA all the time? Not a chance.

So I have no idea what you "watch" there. I'm watching my personal sellshop.
I just wanna say you guys are way off on this 400 EAC thing, and it is kind of reinforcing my belief that people see things they haven't figured out completely, and assume it is the product of a Bot.
I want you to know that on Bartz, without any question, I could easily make and sell 400 EAC's a week, endlessly, and it would not take more than a few hours of my gametime each week (mostly just to track down the Mammon merchant), and would not involve any automated software or hacks or anything of the sort.
