It is the different thing about Bartz... very few shot sellers... a lot of creation shops. Don't know why that is. Scrambling to find shots and a dwarf with MP really sets you back sometime.

Yes it usually takes 1-2 slots rather than the others which take upwards of 5. Not only that but the rewards are usually good money if you hold onto them for a bit. ie they give me money and they aren't as much of a hassle as 90% of the other events.
If I had a choice I would rather not have an event, than to have the fireworks event. Just my personal opinion. The again I won't be playing much this week because of the holidays unless of course they have a decent event. Will have to wait and see if anything is announced on monday.

The Independence Day event in July 2005 was my very first... I loved it!! Raid bosses everywhere, everyone scrambling to get to them. It was a lot of fun!!
NCSoft is located in the USA, therefore US holidays are the ones celebrated.
Everyone complains about the US self-involvement. I even had a Mexican tell me they resented this country being called the US because his country was also called the United States of Mexico. Oh well. It's the way we roll! Get used to it!!! :)
Events are really nice to have, many log in and play long hours to take advantage of them. They are a good idea and generate interest in the game and allow some players to obtain game items they normally could never get. They should have them regularly.

Before you (or anyone else) goes all Euro vs. USA on us, I will point out that NCsoft has NEVER had a "Fourth of July" event. They have always tactfully labeled them generically, as a "summer" event, or a "Fall Harvest" event or a "Spring" event, etc. I mean, countries the world over celebrate Christmas and Easter, yet NCsoft has never had a "Christmas" or "Easter" event, but rather events that just so happen to happen around those holidays and somewhat relate to them (while tactfully NOT calling them a "Christmas" or "Easter" event.) So don't get your panties in a bunch over an Independence Day event because technically, NCsoft has never had one!

People have been posting on these boards for the last MONTH begging for events and then when we point out that a holiday is approaching, during which time we typically have an event, we suddenly get jumped on as being selfish? I don't think so.
People just want an event - any event. That's what this is all about. NA players, Euro Players, it doesn't matter, we all want an event. It has nothing to do with being uber-patriotic and wanting to celebrate Independence Day in game - NOTHING. It has everything to do with wanting an event of some sort. It just so happens that they usually give us an event around the 4th, so the OP was just asking if we would be getting one this year.

Do you really need some US public holiday to have an event? Why can't NC just make an event because (most) people like it and it lives up the game?
Just make something ... albeit small like arrowhead run. There is one whole island that hosted one event, other than that it's deserted..

Are All Servers Located IN The United States of America. So if We want a USA event on the USA servers then we have that right. Besides It's not just for the USA anymore ;)

Yea was hard to base it off that and I don't know why it keeps getting stuck. and Franz is getting pretty Light it's always Light when I log in.
Best way 2 tell thou is after the merge and see how many quit and how many stay.
The Events come from Korea anyway so really none of it manners the main thing is that an Event is over do ;)

Hello Euros, I'm American. I'm not even going to be playing on the 4th of July, as I'll be at my cousin's house (doing this thing thing called "celebrating"). Now, if you need a L2 event to celebrate a holiday, then it's obviously not that great of a holiday.

I'm wondering this same question since all it does is start fights and make me laugh when people want world peace but decide to go out of thier way to bash on people of another country becuase of a lack of maturity.

I'd like to make an appology since people want to bash The United States Of America every chance they get. We are sorry that we were invited into both World Wars and that we are still to this day having to be the country that stands up for peoples God given freedoms everywhere arround the globe and so think about it before you bash us. Without our involvement in both World Wars Europe would be speaking German and not a friendly place to live and alot of Iraqi's would still be living a crappy life under Saddam Hussein if we hadn't been the country to stand up and say it wasn't right.
Bashing Americans if ya think about it is also possibly bashing a family member since after all you Europeans are the ones that founded my country so it's nice to see how much you care about relatives.

I would like to point out that the USA also celebrates April Fool's Day (boy, I bet that really gets your goat, doesn't it?) and IIRC, we have had an event for it in the past.
And more importantly - wth does it matter whether an event is celebrating a holiday or not? From what I see here, the Americans just want an event (holiday or no holiday, they don't care), while most (not all!) of the Euros just want to cry that the American's get events for their holidays and complain that the Euro holidays should get events too.

First of all, the majority of Euros in Hinde aren't eastern european. I'm Euro, have been in a clan for over 2 years, have other euros in clan, and only one of them is Russian. In all honesty though, east euro people tend to join clans together, so you find one or two clans in hinde that are mainly east euro (that are not made of botters and their alts).
Second, events do not come from Korea. Hint: no double drop, double xp events for us. They are designed and implemented by NCSoft NA, hence the reason why they are organized around big US/Western holidays.
Third, we do have 3 Euro servers now, and busy ones at that (it's natural that when US people log on they are light on population because of the hour difference; at those times, most euros are asleep), so it's also natural for the euro people to be irked for the consistency and recurrence of the celebration of US only holidays (even if not stated as such).
Events yes, the more the merrier. Just don't be culturally centered about them, because euro people do play this game, most of us don't bot, and we have some interesting holidays that could inspire good events too. Like Carnaval (basically like Halloween, but less goth, and in February).

Actually your right if America wasn't founded by the best EU had to offer at the time we wouldn't be where we are today.

None of the events in the archives were US events. Take the time to go back over them and look before you start QQ over US only events. Some were connected to season celebrations, which most countries have thier versions. I think in the past NCSoft has played the events well and not mabe them US Holidays. So, find something else to cry about... like the lack of any events.

All our events have come out of Korea. Korea are the ones that say we can do this that or the other. Furthermore, it was NCsoft Korea that said they wanted the NA/Eu office in NA, which was first established in Los Angeles, then moved to Austen.
