Sorry I'm just posting things out the top of my head because I don't want to be a goblin anymore....XD. Anyways I can see why not alot of guys become them because when I found a sages rag on sale( had to grab it had the best def and mp ive seen for my level)and so I graped it then when I tried it on....well It doesn't look right......It's like something a transuxal would wear..... (No affensce to homosexuals who like that its just...thats not my type of thing ok.....) anyways I'm afriad to wear it infront of people but it has such great effects for somebody at my level... >.<
There are a very few, not many. I have one such alt myself.
Umm.. let's see, what direction to take here.

OK, so controlling a male character in flamboyant apparel makes you afraid, but would you, for example, have some objection to controlling a character with bewbs?

I have to admit I find the apparel of male dark elves to be pretty extreme. But for that reason I made one! It's kind of boring to be cookie cutter.
hey don't pick on me..... I would be ok with it if it didn't have the bra straps or the pretty woman ****** boots I wouldn't mind runing around in black tighty whiteys thats kind of unique. XD
Dark elf look is all gambled to say the least.
Hey you're right.. black tighty whities WOULD be unique.

*idea*
My SE is a male char and hes got that ghost white hair, so evil looking
i know 2 active players that are male SE.
I've met one male SE on Devianne. They're few and far between, but they're out there.

As for the males Dark Elves' flamboyant appearance, yes, I'll agree with that. Some of their outfits are very extravagant.
Certainly no more so than the female DE's, however - I just think that as gamers and observers of the "high fantasy" niche, we've become more accustomed to female outfits being ridiculous and outlandish, while the males generally remain more utilitarian and...well...masculine.

If you really want to have an "OMG TRANNY!" moment, roll up a male Kamael sometime.
The entire Kamael design, from premise to art design to attitude, is all about opulence, and it shows. The males of that race have a fashion sense that makes the DE males look about as flashy as sasquatch in a pair of overalls. ;)
Lmao! True.... XD
Well... the Kamael were designed to fight against the gods. They were ennginered by the giants to exist outside the life Einhasad breathed into her creations; thus they are godless.

They even have the passive attribue/defect "Guilted Body" which is the "Body of Original Sin". It implies that their godlessness have driven them into a whole different societal state than the other inhabitants of Aden... I can't speak for the Dev's but they certainly seem to imply to me that they are more likely to be sexual deviants or more sexually "open" than the other races... but please avoid turning this into a flamatory thread about what is "right or wrong"... its game. lets keep it fun people...

that being said, they are more... experimental... in their clothing than the DEs are... drives me CRAZY that nothing is symetrical about them... their sleeves are different on each side, their hair is always one way or the other, they put all their weight on one leg when at rest, and have only 1 wing etc... but the DEs have always had a more symetrical design...

At higher levels the DE armors have wing-like designs and ornate jewels and filigries and so on... DE females are pretty well known for not leaving much to the imagination... and the better half their skin is shown in almost every outfit they wear.

They only thing that has every bothered me about the DEs is that what they wear seems like less of a fashion statement and more of a torture device... undead claws that dig into the females breasts or thighs (not that some one some where wouldn't enjoy that, but...). ANd the males with the whole S&M crotch straps in half of their heavy armors... anyway I guess my point is that its a fantasy game and the attire wherein doesn't always have to make sense... not to mention that gamers tend to prefer things farther from the norm and closer to the extreme - gamers are a social subculture and have have tendancies toward more deviant acts than just off-beat clothing...

...I'll leave it at that to try and minimize the number of people I've just ****** off.
Nah I don't really think you ****** off anybody all of it is very true....................... lol

.....It's like something a transuxal would wear..... (No affensce to homosexuals who like that its just...thats not my type of thing ok.....)

lol, sorry I'm late commenting, but I just now noticed this. Just FYI, transsexual =/= homosexual. Very, very different things.

I will, however, agree that many of the DE male textures (the robes being the most consistent offenders) are not very appealing to ANYONE. I can't speak for all male homosexuals, but I can tell you that this one isn't extremely fond of such things as lopsided robes, bright red tights, and butt feathers.

DE females got it a little better in the design department except for some pretty awful exceptions like BW and DC robes.
