Honestly, you really need to re-evaluate opening the auction's for Clan Halls on Login. There should be at least a 72 hour window for people to prepare... I mean, not for nothing there might be name conflicts with Clan Leader names... At least give a 24-72 hours window for people to get their Character Names, and Clan names situated before you open up bidding on clan halls.
Not to mention this is pretty screwed up for those who have a European/Greek/Russian clan leader... Your literally forcing someone to stay up and monitor the forums Non-Stop to know when the server will be back up, considering the 9 hours isn't even a EXACT time it will be down... it might come up before or after, and it's not like Euro leaders can even transfer their clans to American players within clan now either...
I usually hate people who complain to you guys on the forums, but frankly I don't think you guys have really looked this thoroughly, and considered the implications and realistically how unfair this is to a lot.

That's a poor attitude to take...I like playing on a half euro server...when Im playing they have shops up, and when they play I have my shop up...it works out well for almost everything except siege times for them. (And I wouldn't cry a tear if they made one siege day euro timed and the other US timed.)

1) tbh, it's difficult for everyone. everyone needs to monitor to try to log in fast.
2) It's the same as trying to get Baium for subclass quest. I know many, many people that stayed up all night/ took a day off for that quest.

Central this, central that. Alyra, just so that you know, even with the three Euro servers a lot of Euros still play on the 'US' servers. Never forget the GMT!
Edit: also is it CST or CDT? Judging from the times the servers are down normally would suggest that it in fact is CDT and thus GMT -0500. That's 15:00 GMT? So 17 CEST.
btw, afaik the clan leader can give the rights for clan hall auctions away to other ppl. but then, all that need to get transfered too, clan rights i mean.

Once again, the first Euro server didn't come until AFTER the game was released, which means the servers we're essentially American/Euro Servers... so yes, people CHOOSE to play on that at the time because that was their only option.
By the time the released Teon people had already decently level'd toons, so why would they restart on a New Server? Why would they tell their friends to go somewhere else? Had they had server transfers back then, then you have a valid point, but they didn't now did they?...
When they opened server transfers, they offered them for a fee... had they offered them for free to Euro players, its on thing... but why should people be paying for something that could have possibly been offered initially? So no, people didn't have the option because frankly why should Euro players had to have paid to get something like that?...

It should be painfully obvious that players can choose any server for any number of reasons. A person in Germany could choose to play on a NA server and vice versa.
Once social relationships are established, there may be reasons for people to stay or to transfer.
No one is "wrong" for making what choices they did.
At the same time, just because you're a Euro on a NA server or an American on Teon--that doesn't mean you lose your right to ask for changes or to complain about NCSoft decisions.
If you pay--you get to have your opinion.
Sure everyone could move--but I think the game is a bit richer because of the cultural mixes that exist on all the servers.
I've always been impressed by the European players I play with on Lionna--and I'm glad they are there.

Let there be 250 afk traders in Giran and a total of 50 afk traders in all other places (aden, mdt, goddard, etc). There also are at least 300-400 "Dark Omen Grinders" who exp 24/7. So the numbers of active players look like 500 (NA) and 1100 (Euro). Only ~50% of NA time-base players actually live in US and understand what the 'CDT' is (a very bright example is LordPret, who lives in Venezuella (same time zone as hindemith time is) but who always has a trouble understanding the siege time). So, 250 ppl against 1100 - this gives us 20%, right?
Explanation 2: Let's count the major allies. FS, RVL, Titans and BotingHierarchy are 95% euro-based; Ragnarok is 85-90% and Divine is ~80%; i don't know for sure for Unity and dominion, but there are lots of euros there and TVC clan is mostly euro-based. Those mentioned have been controlling all castles and killing epics for ages. So the strongiest clans are at least 80% euro.
There also are 'neutral' clans that do raids often, but i often see Calixtines, Core, Ethos, SerialKillers raiding at euro prime time - thus i guess that large parts of these clans should be europeans. And the situation shouldn't change much when speaking about small clans and untag players.

You must not have been on the forums long. Please don't ever make the mistake of lumping all Americans in with Matsumoto again. What I find aggravating is that we find ourselves in the middle of YET ANOTHER USA vs. Euro argument and no one is taking two seconds to stop, breath and realize that the original post that started it was a joke, not a real post. I'm only pointing out that any one could of switched over, so they could play on a server with times, and events dedicated to their time zones. But rather then switch they choose to stay on a NA based server (which NCsoft decided to declare it so) with their friends.

No this doesn't cut it. I want REAL NUMBERS. So when I get on in the morning before work, you guys count me as Euro? All the NA college students out of school and playing in the morning you count as Euro? Weekends? When we are on, you count as Euro?

I was off from work this week.....I got counted as Euro? Several of our NA clannies work nightshift......what do you count them as when they are on daytime?

Selling it to an alt clan guarantess they ll get 2b, ie ncsoft pays for their new clan hall ;)

aww lots of people did, people that had the cheap dion/gludio/gludin halls, retired clans that had no interest in the server any more, farmers ... pretty much everybody that originally bought their ch for less than 2b did it

We only paid 50m for ours when they first came out so we did that, sold it to an alt clan and made 1.8 billion so we could afford to do max bid on a new CH after merges, its not rocket science ya know a lot of people figured this out and did the same. Otherwise that CH you have had forever you could never afford to buy again without a large investment from everyone still active.

Yes, it is possible to gain money from it - in the sense that you do not LOSE 2b to bid on a new ch. It is the same as if you had sold the ch to some other clan for 2b right before the merger. In both situations, the clan gets 2b from somebody else and is able to bid max on a ch on the new server "for free" - something which the clan would not have been able to if they had just waited to get back the 50m or whatever low bid they made years ago.
situation A:
1. clan has ch they bid 50m on years ago and waits
2. server merge, clan gets 50m from ncsoft
3. clan has to pay 1.95b to bid on a new ch
4. clan has -1.95b adena and a new ch
situation B:
1. Clan sells ch to alt clan for 2b of their own money
2. ch is gone, clan is +/- zero adena (ignoring the tax), but clan has "voucher" for 2b during server merge
3. server merge, clan gets 2b from ncsoft
4. clan has 2b plus and can bid max for a new ch
5. clan has +/- zero adena and a new ch
It is pretty clear that in situation B the clan has more money.
The point is, THIS IS ONLY INTERESTING IF YOU DID NOT BID MAX ON YOUR OLD CH.

Let there be 250 afk traders in Giran and a total of 50 afk traders in all other places (aden, mdt, goddard, etc). There also are at least 300-400 "Dark Omen Grinders" who exp 24/7. So the numbers of active players look like 500 (NA) and 1100 (Euro). Only ~50% of NA time-base players actually live in US and understand what the 'CDT' is (a very bright example is LordPret, who lives in Venezuella (same time zone as hindemith time is) but who always has a trouble understanding the siege time). So, 250 ppl against 1100 - this gives us 20%, right?
Explanation 2: Let's count the major allies. FS, RVL, Titans and BotingHierarchy are 95% euro-based; Ragnarok is 85-90% and Divine is ~80%; i don't know for sure for Unity and dominion, but there are lots of euros there and TVC clan is mostly euro-based. Those mentioned have been controlling all castles and killing epics for ages. So the strongiest clans are at least 80% euro.
There also are 'neutral' clans that do raids often, but i often see Calixtines, Core, Ethos, SerialKillers raiding at euro prime time - thus i guess that large parts of these clans should be europeans. And the situation shouldn't change much when speaking about small clans and untag players.
No this doesn't cut it. I want REAL NUMBERS. So when I get on in the morning before work, you guys count me as Euro? All the NA college students out of school and playing in the morning you count as Euro? Weekends? When we are on, you count as Euro?

Scenario 1 : If no clan would have sold their clan hall to an alt clan, their winning bids would have been everything from 50M to 2B, depending on when they bought the clan hall.

Scenario 2: If all clans would have sold their clan halls to an alt clan one week before merge, their winning bids would have been 2B all over.
- For all clan halls NC would have to reimburse 2B + 2B + 2B + 2B + 2B + 2B... etc.
NC is loosing adena in the second scenario. And where do these adenas end up? In the pockets of those clans/alt clans. Bottom line, there was adena to gain on the merge.
I allready own Garden of Eva and since it wasn't owned on Gustin :) I have nothing to worry about and i'm sorry to all that have this clan hall headache still but i still think that they shoulda made the 2 owners of the clan halls fight a pvp tournament in underground coliseum between the rival clans for them but noone liked that easy solution.

For one.
If it's your alt clan, you haven't made or lost money, you still spent 2bil on the clan hall.
2nd, if it's not your alt clan and it's some other random clan, they were kinda stupid no? Seriously it's impossible to sell a clan hall for any adena at all because no one dumb enough to purchase a clan hall they were going to lose anyways, and not get refunded anything at all.

The new server names will appear on the in-game server select screen once they're up. It may take a day or two to get them added to the front page of the website.

What is it then, clan halls? Really I think people get a little to worked up about the smallest of things. At least you are able to play this game and are not getting shot at on a daily basis.

With the lack of concern they seems that they have already tried this and worked. But they always seem to wait till 6pm...
