After much thought and debate I have come to the
conclusion that we all deserve a Stipend for our dedication and devotion to this game. Each active Character should receive a 1 million Adena economic stimulus deposit
into their Warehouse inventory. This will help retain active
players and stimulate the economy after the merger(s).
Don't mention economic stimulus to me. Still waiting on the one "W" and the IRS promised me. "Check's in the mail." Any day now.............
Hmm weird. I'm Australian so I don't get one of those obviously. But my wife, who is an American citizen, got her economic stimulus check from the IRS in the mail ages ago. What's funny about it is:
1. We both live in Australia now, yet we got the check before most Americans seem to have got it; and
2. We spent all that money here in Australia. So it didn't do anything to stimulate the US economy. Just the Australian one (which didn't really need it, in fact the economy here is in danger of overheating atm - we are in very good economic times).

Now THAT is hilarious! One of many oddities of the stimulus package that never made sense.
Case in point: it's fact that single folks without dependents are typically the souls whom would actually stimulate the economy by purchasing the very luxury goods that would get the economy going. It would have been like Christmas in the Spring/Summer. But do single, dependent-less folks get the lion's share of the stimulus? No. Most will get between $300 - $600 at most. A pittance.
Meanwhile the folks with dependents, whom can least afford to stimulate anything, will get just over $1.2K on average. That money will hit the economy, albeit at the wrong end. It will wind up in some utility bill collector's grubby palms, or with the mortgage collector, or at the gas pump, or in the old savings account. Frivolity be ****ed! So much for economic stimulus.
Anyway, back to the original post (give me fantasy for a change), I've said it elsewhere, and I'll restate here....improve the drop rate. That's all the L2 stimulus that I want.

You know why you haven't gotten it yet, right? Cuz you're still living in the stone ages where you think people actually "mail" a "check"! I mean, what does that even mean!? :p If you had done direct deposit like all the cool kids, you would already have yours too.
Seriously tho, I got mine months ago, as did everyone in my family that I know of (parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc.) and all my coworkers and friends. I do not personally know anybody that hasn't already gotten theirs. You're the exception to the rule, IMO, and I don't know for real if you did direct deposit or mail, but if you did do mail, that's obviously the problem right there. If you did direct deposit, then I dunno... they did it by social security number, so if yours starts with a 999, then you would be among the last.
Anyway, I'm single, I got $600 and I spent it on a new laptop at circuit city. Money well spent, as I've already gotten tons of use out of it and have almost abandoned my poor desktop (poor thing is lonely, I think...)
Oh, and 1 mil adena? LOL That barely buys D-grade! Would need to be at least $10 mil adena to do anything. At least with that I could by like a hair clip or something...
I owe on my taxes each and every year, hence the stone age approach. I refuse to give Uncle Sam direct access to deducting from my banking account. I've read horror stories.
I'd like to modify my stipend request to include multi-mat drops as well as the 100 million adena pay out. :p

That could be your problem.
If you owe on your taxes - or owe the IRS any money at all for anything, actually - they'll take your stimulus check and "apply" it to the owed amount.
Doesn't do a whole lot to stimulate anything when they just leech it off and stuff it back into the U.S. coffers, granted, but this is a fact. The IRS will take any opportunity they can to help themselves to citizens' money.
However, you should get a letter in the mail stating that this is what happened, were it the case. Just FYI.
Regarding in-game stimulus, I like the idea (who wouldn't), but would much rather see it as an event, rather than a simple handout. Make it a little bit more fun.

No, no..I owe every year, but I settle up when I do my taxes. I'd never put myself in a position where I owe the IRS. Ever. Again, horror stories. I did receive a letter that says that I should receive a check by July 5th, so I'm not too worried about it.
(EDIT: And sure enough, the IRS stimulus check arrived on July 7th. Guess I'll put it towards the trip to Los Cabos this Fall.)
Another possible in-game stimulus that would be nice...Gatekeeper Rebates!!!
