Can I see the revised notes from the designers of the mobs of Blazing Swamp? I just want to look for the fine print...or the punch line.
I mean it's a nice place and all, if you don't count the crappy XP and the fact that it takes just as many, if not more, arrows to put down a Tulben or a Glow Wisp, both of which are weak to bows, than it does one of those annoying Judges of the Marsh, which are not particularly weak to bows.
Oh wait, I get it now. "Weak to BOW." We're not supposed to use arrows on Tulbens and Wisps, we're supposed to whack the critters with the limbs of the weapon. What was I thinking? My Soul Bow was meant to be a blunt.
Indeed. You have to consider how much extra HP those mobs have. They might also have higher base P.Def, so even if they ARE weak to bows, you still won't hit them for more.
Lots of variables to consider here. Incidentally, do they give more or less XP than the other mobs? Mobs with higher HP, or who stun, or have resistances, generally give more XP than similar level mobs.
You're right, all of those factor into the equation. This is what I've found:
Judge of Marsh
Exp: 6205, HP: 3465, P. Def 380
Glow Wisp
Exp: 6528, HP: 3626, P. Def 439
Tulben
Exp: 6968, HP: 3546, P. Def 428
That said, I still think the joke is on us. A glow wisp has a p.def of 439. It is not classified as "slightly strong p.def" type. A trives has a p. def of 438 and IS classified as having a slightly strong p.def attribute. What gives?
trives is what? 63 lvl mob? glow wisp is 67?
a 63 lvl mob having the same pdef as a 67 mob would make the 63 mob slightly strong pdef.
It's simple if you think about it for a sec

Those numbers doesn't mean anything if they aren't given from NCSoft.

You have to be kidding..
NCSoft would never release anything like this(to the EU/NA players). And even if they would it would probably be wrong or outdated.
These numbers are probably a lot more accurate than what you would get out of NCSoft
you can get these numbers if you speak korean or are half decent at using google language tools :p
It's not like they are some secret held in some vault somewhere, they are posted on plaync.kr
Why DONT we get the numbers like the koreans do? It would be helpful to know wtf I stand to get hit with prior to attacking something... and how much exp they give out, ect... I see no reason!!!
They can't be bothered to translate and then code into the website all that information. Lets not even get into keeping it up to date. The site we have barely gets any attention.

It is severely unfortunate that this is how they treat the NC NA site. I grew up as part of a customer representative family and the most basic rule of thumb is "Give all customers the same respect/treatment" for ANY business, be it gaming, music, any retail, or if your trying to get a big contract for your company. I know it isn't my place to tell a company how to run themselves but, even still, I feel cheated in some ways by this... I know I can always ask here on the forums but having the information available is a huge help, and can provide a better base knowledge of what your getting yourself into BEFORE getting into a mess that one can't handle... Like the first time I took on 2 crocs on alligator island (or whatever it is called) I got my booty handed to me... And had to take a survey of which mob hit me harder, how much harder, how much exp they yielded and so on... Time consuming and slowed me down. Not fun. If I had that information available to me BEFORE that I would not have had to waste time on doing that...
My point is, after that long winded paragraph, is that from a customer representative pooint of view, providing some information, that is mostly outdated to one side of the fence while providing information to the other side of the fence that is up to date and MORE information to that side is not good customer service.
(Note: This is not even including the awesome Alyra that we have as our community manager. She is cool and does a great job \,,\...(^-^).../,,/. Just disappointed that we on this site are not treated as equals as customers. And yes I know it would take time and alot of effort to translate the information and keep it up to date but it would be providing GOOD costumer service.)
