Sonic Rage - Infos

I won't reach that anytime soon (if at all) but I am curios about Sonic Rage.

Sonic Rage 1 5 50 16000000 Dual Swords attack that emits a beam to strike a distant target while gathering force for use in other special attack skills. Force can be gathered up to level 7. Critical hit is possible. Requires a dual-sword weapon.

What's the power of this skill?
Also what I've seen in various movies (youtube) is that it has no animation for a "projectile" heading to the target, it's like swinging your swords without anything "coming out" like for sonic blaster or such...

Any info on this skill is appreciated.

sonic rage does roughly the damage of 2 swings of your dual-swords (2 swings = 1 attack cycle).

also do not trust youtube for l2 movies. most of them are from private servers. sonic rage used to have a bug in c4 that it made the skill skip animation if u had above a certain atk speed. It never skips animation nowadays afaik. Watch some duelist videos either on filefront or livepvp and see for yourself

sonic rage imo has one of the best looking animations when being executed. a fiery 'X' shaped beam comes out of the duals. awesomeness fo'****zLe. :)

but yes filefront is a good source, and so is b-l-a-h video's section. unfortunately, livepvp is no more. :/

This is what you do

use sonic rage 7 times
use sonic blaster

it may do dmg like this

400,400,400,400,400,400,400, BAM 2400 looks like
X....X....X....X....X.....X....X...../......

You can use the sonic blaster 3 times then resume the sonic rage?
Assuming you don't trow a sonic move in there to get closer to the target...
Or maybe you get close enough (not likely against ranged) to throw in a tss...

Wow you have to be Godly fast to throw off 3 consecutive blasters. At least with sonic rage cool down is like focus sonic

With proper buffs and gear maybe the cool down is smallish?

Smallish but you need like 3-4k attack speed to spam that skill, but then you'll be unstobbale

Able to nuke harder and faster than a nuker with loads of hp/cp and decent defense... able to lay waste to things in a span of time

even out of mp you hit so fast....

using sonic blaster with less than 7 forces is not a good thing to do. with cov dances and champion/renewal u can shoot 1 blaster and 2 sonic rages non stop

imperial set and no zerk (and probably -dex)... way too slowass for my taste

zerk = bad for pvp friend

-DEX isn't a horrible setup, having the extra DEX isn't that huge of a difference. Duelists are slow regardless.

zerk is bad in large scale pvp but in this case, if he had zerk, no -dex and tallum heavy he would have killed them all faster and that prophet wouldnt have the chance to return. guess this guy had -11 dex, look at the refresh of duelist spirit... after the 1st cycle of ds and warcry fade he is helpless and even a destro can escape from him. anyway each to his own

Sonic Rage is one of the best skills I ever seen so far!!!
Will take a while b4 i can use it but:
1) A big point is that Sonic Rage build up Sonic Focus an dont waste them! U can charge up and do dmg as well
2)Good is that u just need 5MP and 50 HP to use Sonic Rage.. most Duelist/Gladiators kno whow fast ur MP go down after some TSS/DSS and Blast/Storm attacks

As far i seen SonicRage is good to blast away stuff from the distance... since the reuse time is nearly Zero u can fire as u pleased ...

I read something about a new AoE distance attack for lvl 81 ... any1 already seens that??

The most common builds would be +5STR -5CON which takes away a certain advantage of the class in that it is able to absorb a lot of damage while also doing a lot.

Having a -DEX setup and keeping that CON plays to this strength and the advantages of it far outweigh the disadvantages. Not decreasing that DEX still wouldn't enable the Duelist to catch many classes, Duelist Spirit may well be ready for reuse but you're still slow regardless. I wouldn't go all out -11DEX setup personally but I guess people's tastes are different.

That's not a prophet in there btw, it's a Bishop.
