It must be since Dawn allways wins. How many times since 2005 has Dusk won i think 3 times. But there were long months i was away from game so it could be more but i'm willing to bet it wasn't much more if any.

Let's say you are a farmer and you have 10 parties farming for AA.As always you register for Dawn and next week you make Dusk win.
Wouldn't you try to find where the "real players" register next week,so you register same side?

Farmers cannot do festivals and win the festivals on 7signs (50% of victory).So it mostly depends on players
If your clan holds a castle you cannot join Dusk. So this is where your plan fails . It has to be a pretty strong ally that for some reason has no castles and that would happen only if it decides to win for the Dusk.
Only players who are not members of the castle clans and guilds may join Dusk. During the registration period, they may join through the Priests of Dusk in each village.
If you can get every single castle owning clan to give up on grinding in Catas/Necros(at least intermittently) and find a way to force the notoriously venomous L2 community to work together with regularity then I guess it could work. Then again, they can see who is winning using a 500a scroll, so that's problematic also.
My best bet in the past has been to simply kill every man, woman, and child in a spot I want and let God sort them out. Going red is no big deal.
Thanks for pointing that out Spire and that is becoming a reason i stopped caring about the 7 Signs is that whole seige thing wich is useless to the smaller clans that just wanna use the Catacombs/Necropolises for exp.
In some ways L2 is a much kinder and gentler game than other MMO's and in others it is much more difficult. Competing for hunting areas is part of the package and the simplest and easiest way to resolve those kinds of situations is to rely on yourself and your clanmates.
I have met one farmer than was really prepared to fight. The others talked a lot of [censored](either in broken English or in Chinese...I think) and couldn't really put up a lot of resistance. If you are willing to bust someone in the mouth(player or farmer) for what you want then you can at least explore that avenue of action.
Getting an entire server to work together may be fantastic on paper, but there's just too many conflicting priorities at work. And yeah, it might work in Korea...but that doesn't mean anything since this isn't Korea and I'm betting that most of us aren't Koreans.

Taking a room from Farmers is easy. The hard part is when lvl 79 'Enforcers' show up to take it back. Sad thing is, lately the 'farmer owners' are from large Allys.

This all sounds great being bot free. Odd thou that gustin just went thru dusk winning and yet the bots were still inside grinding away.Just who is that you think owns these bots you claim to hate so much? PVP them and see who comes to help.......

seven signs has been reset so we will have to sign up again once they hae it running. Havent checked on actual entry to cats but my guess we are locked from cats until seven signs starts again and we can sign up.... can neone confirm or deny this by entering cats? and plz post a ss if u can....

You cannot sign up this week, it's like the first week when 7 signs was introduced back in c3 or whenever it was. But you can enter catacomb - there are somewhat different mobs this week.
I'm not convinced. I have a feeling that some people that run bots read these forums. There for, know of what you're already saying. Besides, I don't see this happening anyhow...
Eamonn, I agree. I am completely with you. Though from my personal perspective I don't mind the bots as much as others as I am more casual about this game. However; I still think it would be a nice event to occur and to see everyone come together like that would be sweet. It just seems a bit out of reach...
On the topic of bots, have they 'returned' yet? The server merge screwed up their software I suspect. But in the past, when such things have happened, they've been back within a few days.
So anyone seen any obvious bot trains yet? Or received adena-seller spam PMs?
You aren't signed up. Did u try and run up to a mob? That should port you outside.
I didn't sign up last week, figured it would reset with the merger. Killed mobs (and trained quite a few catacombs and necros) with nps tonight. And either a boat load of farmers came out of retirement or hinde was wtf packed with them.
it doesnt take a lot to turn a server to dusk, CD done it alone for a few weeks, but it stops bots being in catacombs for 1 week out of 2 and takes a lot of time and effort from non castle owning clans.
somehow though the bots still manage to get in and if they don't look forward to them taking over field areas.
Like I said, I feel that bot owners read these forums and know the plans of the players. They can also look at who is winning and then put there other bot trains on Dusk instead of Dawn.
Edit: Btw Bots didn't come out of retirement, Hinde just had a butt load of bots. Heck they use to take all the RB's lmao
bots were no one on Hinde ... the main bot groups were bot trains of players in the main alliances. and stop beeing dramatic about a bots they can do nothing if u need a spot.
9/10 (out of my own exp) when you steal a room from bots or kill the bots nothing ever happens. It has been a rare occasion that I found an 'enforcer' and even then.. They wont pk you they'll just train you and which usually suck at it.
This is what I find difficult, even if a good many players go Dusk and all the bots go Dawn... when they turn in their seal stones (I know they may not, but if they're going to lose I sure would) then that could make the difference. Just a thought
Them turning in Seal Stones is what could kill it mostly (in my mind). They could win be the factor in Dawn winning and still benefit because they could sell the AA.

If you want to kill the farmers, kill their market. This whole dusk thing isn't gonna really hurt anyone, cause as long as they have a market (aka People buying arena) they will never go anywhere... There has to be a reason for them to be here in the first place, LOL, they don't do this as a pastime or for fun.
Since 1 Period won't change anything why not go dusk every so often then? Instead of Dawn winning every single boring time and, why doesn't Dusk have to pay after lvl 40 personally if 1 side has to pay above 40 lvl then why not the other ?

While I applaud you for trying you might want to do some research. This game, and the problems it possesses, go back four years. If you have a new take on the situation, awesome. If you want to float some new ideas, cool. The problem is that most of this has been discussed ad nauseum and many of the reasons "why" things are the way they are stem from either obvious reasons or much more complicated issues that can't be solved by a simple, "We should all work together"
You have things you care about and that lead you to your conclusions. Other people have priorities that will put them in direct conflict with what you are trying to accomplish. Assauge them and you might get somewhere. Keep asking "why?" and people will dismiss you because they've heard it all before...in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and now in 2008.
Again, your focus is admirable, but your solutions simply don't work because of the reality of the game. It is the best interest of many people not to work with others on the server and even to see anti-bot solutions fail. Come up with a plan of action that can leap over those hurdles and then you'll really be onto something.

Not "sometimes", mswari. Once you get your first castles --like in two days?-- you'd better put those long-forgotten Certificates of Lord's Approval on the market for sale. Hindegust has a far greater population than Gustin. There will be no excuses to justify laziness and "I care-not" attitude.
Your character. Your alt that you like to XP when you don't feel like playing your character. Buffer #1 (prophet?). Buffer #2 (SE or Warcryer?). Buffer/Healer hybrid (elven elder?). Character you're leveling to be useful to a clan (overlord?). Repeat (Warsmith? but that could be the alt too!). Dancer (Bladedancder!). Singer (Swordsinger!). What are we at now? That's 9.... well, that's a full party, I guess....
Assuming you had 7-9 accounts to do that with though... why would you need 26 characters at all? 26 characters is already 4 accounts minimum..... but.... why would you level different characters on 3 of those 4 accounts? Q.Q

Ya. It's a mess. But re-rolling can be so much fun. I just wish I had planned ahead (making EE and WC on same account is bad idea for instance).

They allways cooperate and go Dawn and i think it was at least 3 times maybe since 2005 when i was in game if not on a month away from it that i've noticed Dusk win.
And another thing some of us are casual players with B grade mains and using c grade weapons and jewlry cuz of variouse things so point is we all aren't S grade and rich like you mswari so like Rohirrin has said give me 50k each sign up and i'll happily keep donating for your pvp seigeing that i can't participate in with my lvl .

I play an Overlord and developed a nice set of manners after allways hearing go find your clan when trying to get rift partys or any partys so you'll need to excuse me if i come off wrong :).
Ok here's the story..... i sign em all cuz i never know which ones im gonna use.
1. I hate partying and my wife doesnt like it much either. So we create our own duos/trios(we are masters in the art of ALT+TAB)
2. Im colourblind and almost never leave catacombs. My wife hates having only one type of duo/trio to play.
3. Therefore i must have a pp,se,wc,and hlr on every acct so that i can create different types of duo/ trios according to which accts are available to me.
4. I use runners all the time for mammon so ill sign every char that has ww.
5. my wife hates frieghting gear around so i usually have 10-15 chars stuck in cats ne ways.
And yes b4 i get all the comments.. i have no life i dont need it.. i have a wife, and shes addicted to l2......
no boating just being a crazy [censored] l2 player with no life and a job that lets me play l2 at work.

That's what I do. But this does not count as "fast" leveling. And now that you mentioned it... we need Omega reimburse our seeds and crops and the Manor up and running. :)

It all depends on how you play....Not everyone wants to rush through the lvl's. There are many areas out there to explore, not just cats. :p
Exactly and i'd rather experience the game than rush to hit end game and miss out on everything and anyways it was chronicle 2 prelude when i started :) so yea i'm old school and finally made a scavenger as much as i'm not a fan of dwarfs i figure i can spoil and make some cash.
Months from game and made good friends while playing so lvls no biggy since i gave up on castle seiging i'm a clansman after all not a fat lazy Aristocrat :D This Overlord sleeps out under the stars in the fresh air away from the PHOENIX COOP stench of a castle :) :)
Ummm actually there were no bots in the catas when dusk won, or actually i could say i never saw any and i am always in pats/devo/saints/and witches.believe me i know i spend all my time aoeing down there, and if you ever want bots dead pm scav :P
and as far as seeing who comes to help i have pvp many nm/cc/and hg because bots/farmers like to call them since they are a wartag
