WS better poler then warlord?

Hi I'm planing to creating an Alt to level up my wolf lvl 15.
As the alt and wolf lvl up will the warsmith who pole xp and level faster? can handle more mob? then a same lvl warlord or destoyer poling? I do have a SE in group. My goal is to get the wolf to lvl 55 as fast as possible..

thanks
WS can AoE well with pole and big boom, but it will cost you tons of adena in crystals and beast spiritshots...
you need to summon a new big boom after each use and it uses 99 spiritshots per use. Emp+wm are good buffs for it. Oh and make sure to detonate big boom before the mobs die so that it doesn't take 30% from your exp.

A warlord is the best class with polearm thanks to provoke (AoE hate), AoE stun and howl (AoE patk debuff).

destroyer is also a very strong AoE char if you can hande 30% frenzy.
Since your wanting to pole in order to lvl a wolf, WS unfortunatly isn't the best choice for you. In order to use bigboom you wont be able to summon a pet also...unless you want to put the SE in party with wolf that is. Of course that means your spreading the xp around even more.

I love my WS and am a big dwarf supporter, so I cant believe im actually saying this...but your gonna want to probably go with Warlord or Destro in your situation. :(
I don't know how high you want to lvl your wolf, but the better AOE skills on WS and Warlord are all mid lvl skills. You need to put in alot of effort just to get to those lvls.

A good suggestion from my part is to make a nuker and nuke your way up. It's fast and cheaper than using Big boom.
Since i assume you want to level the wolf to 55, + - a few levels. You can safely go WS.

as long as you plan on poling cata only, 1 room / 2 a time, a WS will pass.

Provoke is an advantage for WL, but cata mobs are not that much spreaded. You will do fine, specially at those low levels.

Thunder, Stomp, Howl, Thrill fight, Revival, Detect weakness, FELL SWOOP to name a few skills a warlord has.
But most of those just start to work out later lvl60+ and keep in mind, some skill are just recieved at 55 - 58 (stomp).

A Detroyer (after frenzy nerf) and WS / bounty Hunter is at best, poling for beginners.

The difference between a WS / Destroy and a WL is WLs can stay healable under a lot of circumstances where others simply die.
All those WL skills are learned torward this sole purpose.

Example:
If you wanna pole big time, E.G. Pulling a whole toi floor at once, you will die trying as a WS, or if you get lucky, die along your cardinal in the corner.

WS: Hit corner, swing. You only hit half the mobs you've gathered, getting healed for way less than you actually recieve on damage. (Keep in mind 20+ mobs hitting you). Mobs aggro on Healer or you die before they can. / jumping afterwards on the healer.

Warlord:FELL SWOOP, You're able to hit most if not all mobs at once. Thunder + Stomp, almost all mobs are in stun. VR does it work to keep you alive at those critical seconds. (Bishop / Cardinal / EE / ESaint spamming major heal at this point already) Thrill fight does add an additional boost in your hp level though VR. (by no means heals you up). Howl will at least lower the p.atk significantly on 50% of these mobs. (less damage). Revival can save you if the healer is sleeping. Detekt weakness adds a lot of additional VR heal (not at toi).

You see, all those skills keep a warlord in these situations (Big pulls) Healable, that's the difference to a Destroyer / WS / Bh.

Any other pole wielding class can clear a room by a few small pulls, a WL simply clears with one big pull. Hands down, a WL is by any means Superior to a WS at poling.
a WS dont do as good job as a Warlord as previous poster said, but can still do a very respecatble job imo.

i have been leveling mostly by AoE since level 78 on my Maestro and before the VR nerf i wouldnt say that there was such a huge difference, however after the nefr i can only have around 10-12 mob hitting me and keep HP up with just VR alone (this with bd/sws and CoV oop).

they key to good XP with a WS poleing is to be able to make a pull around 8-12 mobs in a short time. the faster you kill and the faster you can pull, the more XP. A warlord can let it take abit longer for the pull but make it bigger and get better use of his skill for faster killing.
ty for all the advise - I was thinking a WS so I can make soulshot on the fly without restocking . since my SE heal are no where the best I will create a Warlord just incase my SE heal can't keep up. The idea of hitting over 15 mons really excite me, the most i been through with party is 2 bad respawn around 8 mon that almost kill the whole group.. So Warlock have extra skill then WS and destro to let WL hit more mob?

ANy general rules for newbie poler? like fight only green/light blue mob and thing like that? and how to angle myself in a corner not get stuck there(can't move) when many mob are not getting hit... When C grade and up what SA to get on weapon?

Start poling from lvl 20 in sacrifice (if you can find a room) and learn from your mistakes.

If you die just rez up and try again, with poling you will regain the % lost withing 2-3 trains if you are under lvl 40.

In the begining you can pull yellow/white mobs (at lvl 20-30...VR4 from newbie helper helps alot), from lvl 30 and up continue on white mobs if you can or start to hit green mobs.

If you are unsure if you can handle the room try to pull 3-4 mobs and see how it goes.

SA on C grade I prefer to use wide blow so that you hit at a wider range, but many prefer critical stun to stun the mobs when critting.
some tips.

there is essentially 2 ways for good poleing.
1. you pull into a corner, preferably 90degrees or less, forcing the mobs to stand infront of you while you kill them. this is a fairly good and straightforward method, however it dont work with ranged mobs.

2. you pull just around a corner. this is more difficult and more can go wrong if you mess up, if your unlucky mobs will get behind you. however if the corner is right (a straight wall is prefered, seems low objects wont work, ie stones) this will work for ranged mobs aswell. as they cant see you behind the corner they will run forward till they can see you and by that time they are in range of your attacks too. most other mobs will stay infront of you for basicly the same reason, the AI that makes the mob spread out wont work since they first trying to move to see you and when they can they are in range of attacks and start attacking instead of spread out.

personaly i almost always use the later of the 2 methods. if you learn to master it you will almost always hit all mobs.
