I'm semi new to Raiding. I've done it before and so far it's fun though. But our group had a quick question. We have two groups of 5 people each. We know you can't make one group with 10 people... but is there a way to alliance the two groups together to fight the raid? Or do we just have to keep the two groups separate and just attack the raid boss?
If you are in a clan with the command channel skill, you can create a command channel and put both parties in it (or more than 2).
Otherwise you just attack separately.

Or a 3rd option, you can buy an item from the grocery store npc (in aden, rune, or schuttgart) called a strategy guide which lets you set up a command channel. I'm not sure how it's used because I've never needed one, but that's what it's supposed to do ;)

The strategy guide is used as a consumable AFTER targetted the first party leader of the other group. It opens the command channel and as of then you can use the Invite to command channel button under your ALT+C

Thank you to the others with the information. Some of you sent me a Message to my inbox and it was appreciated. We didn't want to leave anyone out so we decided to split into two groups of five. It worked out fine... I was just curious if there was a way that both groups would be able to see each others health bars for healing assistance.
You will not be able to see the other groups' health bars. If you don't have two healers (and it takes a special person to choose healer as a main), then put your healer in the group which has the 'tank' - or the character who has high pdef who will be trying to keep the raid bosses' attention. This is the character which the healer needs to focus on.
We didn't want to leave anyone out so we decided to split into two groups of five.
and that's where you go wrong. this game is not designed to include everyone.
Maybe to your way of playing, but the game as in MMO does mean what it means...Include as many as you want or can.
It's great to see people still try to include every single player they have in their guild to be part of it. I know in my clan it's that way and when we raid it's often not the ideal combinations, but at least everyone get's to enjoy it and we are successful at what we try out.
As for the healtbars of other groups, I'm afraid that not even the guide strategy guide can help you. It's a tool to allow you to see all groups within your raid, what classes are in each group and how many people in total you have.
