ashhhleeeeeeh! i was waitin, i was waitin at giran harbor, all day, all night yesterday, waitin for you to be on that boat, that was coming from aRia, but u wasnt on it, c'mon now!
Well, you'll be shocked by this no doubt (due to my class), but I can recommend it. However, if you do choose this path, you need to be aware you're only most effective against undead. Fortunately there are lots of undead mobs in the world, and not too many angelic, so it works. Good luck.
Healing, as mentioned in one of the link provided for you above, is great but limited. Cast time is horrible on Holy Blessing, but Sacrifice works well assuming your not tanking at the time.
Rainy is saying the truth. I had a lvl 65 paladin on the first time I tried the game and now I miss the tank so much that i'm re rolling to make a new one ^^
Does anyone have any thoughts on a palidan Leaning more towards the Healing aspect? My main is a cardinal so im curious as to what it would be like if a paladin wore maybe robes or light, and used Mystic weapon maybe with conversion or just acumen? if you have any thoughts i would love them :) i also pvp so think of that too!
The heal is a novelty that you use for emergencies, you aren't a healer, you are a tank, tank you must. The time you worry about healing someone is if the healer is out of mp/the healer is dead and a important guy is about to die. or if you have no healer at all, and your buddy is dying.
Sacrifice is pretty nice for pet leveling. Or was...not sure how the pet system has changed. Still, pets need buffs. Tanks are nice for pet leveling by holding aggro, but bishops or necros are better. Paralyze the mob and then go afk while the pet kills it....next.

LMAO um your Quote is outdated. Pets don't have 2 kill a dam thing now to get XP. All Pet XP comes from the master now so your info is wrong. Sorry Bud :D
But then your Sig still says Hindemith so I guess you don't keep up on things ;)
I m 78, I do from time to time the entrance of Hellbound (there is a bd and a sps) our healers can't go in so we usually get buffed out and go in without any healer
I played 3 hours without getting any heal and was fine (pp 61 + se 74 buffs), just switch on elixir, or touch of life when I go low and it works well.
For RB, if you come to loose aggro and you have a bishop with you, you just sacrifice on your mate that took the aggro, when the skill is back the bishop do balance life then major group heal and he doesn't have to throw 1 heal to the mate that took agro (assuming it's not a robe), trust me, it saves LOADS OF MP
what is cool is the fact that you take back aggro just with your sacrifices (no mp cost)..., if that's the case, pop an elixir so the bishop doesn't have to be in a hurry

I think I've found my new leveling spot for the next few months on my Paladin.
I forgot to sign up to the SSQ last week so getting into the rift was a nightmare and I couldn't be bothered to keep porting back to town and walking back to a cat/nec every hour for newbie buffs.
So I decided to put my Lance - Wide Blow [?] to some use in one of the very few places I can actually pole and take advantage of my holy attack. Ancient Battleground. This place is a haven for any paladins who go down the AoE route.
I've found a nice, tight corner of a rock which packs them in nicely, set up my bishop a few ft. away and away I go.
Still being in B-Grade it's difficult to take more than one group as they hurt - so I stick with one group. One greater heal with HoT from the Bishop and one regular healing pot and by the time I've killed them my HP is near 90%. Rinse and repeat.
Two groups mean too many targets and because I kill them in two or three hits I can't alt-tab fast enough between switching targets and healing.
I think maybe once I've hit 61 my tallum & tallum glave may be able to pick out 2, maybe 3 groups. Not having an AoE damage skill makes it just that little more difficult.... but right now it's fast, easy and no bots in sight.

Add a baby pet with their greater heal and the new ability to prevent them buffing for 5mins and you can do two groups ^^

A bishop + baby pet would not have done much difference - just leeched XP.
Anyway, I'm in Tallum now but still prefer BW. With my new pole (+3 TG/w Wide Blow) I'm able to manage 3 groups because most of the die in two hits, one if I crit.
It's so easy now.. 3, sometimes 4 groups, same heals (1 GT.Heal, 1 regular pot) and I'm ready to go again. All I need now is faster re-spawn!!
yeah!! I will become a paladin again ^^ I'm actually rolling one now, but it's hard to get time to lvl him up... hope we can see him soom tanking some rb's ^^
sorry for this strange question... wich class u suggest for sub after paladin? I thought destroyer cause of passives on dmg and same set (IC + sword &shield + 2h for vanguard and sub).
