I'll get down to brass tax here. At the introdcution of the Hellbound update there was an event to switch your subclass certification books for class specific skills to any other class specific book of your choice.
Now here is my question/request. With the current Choose Your Destiny event people changing their main class are going to lose out with the subclass certifications as they are reset. They won't have the ability to choose preferred skills regardless of class like everyone else that won't be changing class and took advantage of that previous event which by customer demand was extended.
Perhaps with similar customer demand it can be reintroduced for the same duration as the Choose Your Destiny event or run for just a bit longer than the 5th of August to give people a chance to get their preferred certifications if they change class on the last available date.
Get talkin to the people that can make this happen please :cool:

So there you have it, no new subclass skill event, it was a one time thing. So if you change your main now, you have to use the subclass skills as they were designed and choose from only those which your actual subclasses offer.

AFAIK, they had no such event after first phase (we're now at first phase). in an interview they told they're thinking of repeat, but they are questioned if it's needed.
i'm pretty sure that in korea they had both events at the same time for that reason, if we dont have it here alot of people are going to be disappointed. Why should we not be able to participate in it like others did or like korea did. it looks like the delay on the Choose Your Destiny event was becuz of the server merges anyways. So why not just run the events at the same time or over lap them near the end of Choose your destiny.
That would make alot of people happy, including my self.
personally i never read/heard about 2nd phase of subclass skill certification exchange event. and there's still nothing beside rumors and evasive answers from nc representatives (this rumors/answers include both events - class change and certification exchange).

Oh my gosh... Play the game then instead and keep up with what happening.. If u not there, you are simply not there... my god, what do you expecting here.
Coosing right from the beginning, giving the character creation some time, thought and love is what would be the right thing. But thats my opinion.
when u create your very 1st char you usually don't know sh*t about what's what in the game, so no matter how careful the selection it's always gonna be based on what SEEMS right/fun. as you progress you might realise what u initially thought was wrong, but you still go through with it and make it right on your sub, since the grind required to reroll puts you off.
Coming to role playing, Im against the whole -Choose Your Destiny- idea. Im agains change gender also for that reason. Name change is ok.

Dear god, would you just bite me already? I did choose right in the beginning, then they changed the entire class around. I played a healer - that now is so nerfed in the area of healing that when ppl say "GLF Healer" and you pm them, they laugh at you! "We said healer, not SE."
Time, thought, and love 4+ years ago - and I didn't abandon her, I played her, I got her to 3rd class change, I subbed, I got noble - and thank god, someone is letting me switch things around.

but this is it not my case anymore. i used to play SE earlier, but once i thought it was good if i reroll one from powerful classes. i got a wizard, i leveled her through level, used to PVP... now she has 3rd prof, skills etc... but i always felt that wizard is something different from what i need. i started EE on my sub and i found she's just wonderful. i love my sub, and i don't feel anything deep for my sub. i like play it, but i like my EE sub much more. i didn't entered my nuker for months, this more. so now i requested switch my main to EE.
returning back to yours "role play" religion... i can't believe that this change brakes any your rules. i play my sub almost always for long time... so, in fact, i already switched my class. the change in unseen, but you can't find me playing my "real" main. so, i can't understand why you're so against.
I find it quite interesting watching it from the RP side. ****, even if someone started to study something that he liked, he could possibly find something that attracks him more. I dont think there's any problem at all RP wise ^^ (And Im a RPer too! =3)

IMHO this shouldnt have been an event it should have been more permanent...
there are subclass restrictions in place already (no one can sub ws or ol yada yada yada) there is no need to further limit peoples choices by making the books non tradeable.
when I subbed people wanted healers and rechargers so i went EE I love the class but during the event i didnt have the time or the millions to test out all the different certification skills. now i can either stick with the crappy one i have or get a worse one. I feel like i have been penalized for picking a sub that would be more beneficial to others than it is to myself.
This game has a lack of support classes as is, now no one in their right mind will want to subclass a support character because they wont get a good certification skill for it.
i subbed support and i ended up loving it more than my main, so i switched. there are people that love playing support :P, just not many of them. Hopefully we'll see more people playing support in time.

That person was wrong (well let's say not politically correct).
The event you're talking about is the one where you can use any subclass skills from any class which is over.
The one that's current is the event to change subclass to mianclass.
last i checked this is a mmoRPG thats role playing... wouldnt it make sense for ncsoft to support players in fulfilling multiple roles?
with the current subclass certification system players will want to subclass similar classes as their main class to receive the best skills. why not unlock all skills so that players can more freely chose their subclass?
The event was done for those that already had their subclasses prior to the addition of the added skills. Whats the point in giving each class a specific set of skills if you can just pick what you want after the fact?
Most would be a Archer/Nuker/Dagger combo just to level quickly
actually i do understand your anger, but this restriction is quite pointless. they allowed certification exchange once, so it doesn't affects the game system somehow. i can't see why they still did not add this thing into their paid services. i think, it is well profitable if someone can check few combinations on payed basis.
also, this skills are quite useless for "fast exp". no, it doesn't affect exp in any way. increase is very tiny, it can't accelerate exp. it is usable only for pvp (+cp, +hp, +mdef options). you have no idea if you think you can get exp much faster if having some of those skills.
the skills are very usefull for xp if you get the right ones. and if you are so worried about ppl going archer nuker dagger then maybe ncsoft should just give healers some usefull certs for their main classes

was refering to picking classes that level quickly to get the skills. Not that the skill help you level quicker (skills only effect the main btw :P)
Touche, it wouldnt make xp a whole lot faster on an ee... but as count said most would be archer/nuker/dagger to lvl fast and then get w/e skills they wanted for their archer... so is having an archer/melee/dagger to get the good skills that mich different? i still se no support classes in that mix. point is with these subclass certs who is gonna sub a support class because their subclass skils dont do much to boost the pvp classes.
possessione, i am an esaint sub myself and i wouldnt give up my ee for the world even if it was offered to switch it to cardinal for free but i am upset that i am missing out on skills for my main class because i have a support class.
