You know you missed me. So, what is the merger like?
It has solved all problems L2 ever had. Most brilliant concept in the history of MMO's.
There are now thousands of players waiting patiently in a line just for their turn to get into TOI and there's just so much good will and fun that it's impossible to stop playing the game.
The mergers exceeded everyone's expectations! Sometimes Aria has so many players you have to wait for your turn to log in. And as everyone knows, more #'s of players solves everything.
yup--L2 is all fixed now. I'll save you a spot in the Waiting-for-orfen-raid line! :)
Lmao--in all honesty. It did exactly what was expected.
Lionna had, what, about 12-1400 ave daily player peaks? Kain had 1000 or less?
The math wizzes among the playing population probably would have expected that 'about 1000 + 1300 = 2300'.
No way there are 2000 accounts active.
Is it "better"? Sure. Marginally. Other than that the mergers were a half-***** idea implemented poorly which accomplished next-to-nothing.
The game is still the game--worthwhile on it's own. The mergers were a cluster-[censored] in planning and operational implementation. They look like something the US government would do! (lol)
Kain actually ran more players than Lionna did, according to that site we all know and love (and that some people want to disregard. :p)
And I don't think the mergers were implemented poorly. We got to keep our gear, our warehouses, etc. Only two things I would have preferred to be a little different were names (by calculating age of char & level of char) and clan halls (by doubling the amount of them - but still leaving everyone open for auction. I don't think having dead clans own CHs for years is any more "fair" than what happened w/ mergers.) But honestly, it wasn't like the biggest disaster known to man or anything.
I never felt like the mergers would solve all L2's problems, I don't think many did. I supported the mergers (still do) simply because I think they'll add at least a little bit more life to a dying game. A few extra months is what I hope to get out of the mergers. I would love it if this game were still "alive" like it used to be in C1-C3. I like the game and probably would continue to play it for years if it were. But I think it's slowly on it's way out. =[

I dunno, I think it's a conspiracy. Was looking at the clan hall list on the map info. Only recognised 5 clans from kain that got halls and two of them are the siegable type.
