Kamael are all quite weak pvp classes. all Kamael classes are utility classes - they can buff, can, debuff, can stun, can DD, etc etc. and thats what makes them weak.
the SoulBreaker has nukes, has stabs, and damage is inconsistent at best. a battlemage through and through. either youll run out of mana too early, or youll lack Souls. and the time it takes to gather enough means youll have already lost.
the Berzerker attempts to be the equivalent of the destroyer, if not superior. one fatal flaw is again the MP and Soul issue, as well as the inability of the Berzerker to use Heavy. for this, the Destroyer always lasts longer. Destroyers CAN carry shields too, which would make them capable siege defenders, as well as the destroyer can effectively use a bow. i'd advise against any Kamael except as an alt.
Sieges are all about Numbers, Range, and survival via CP. this automatically rules out both of these Kamael, in favour of the Arbalester FOR NOW.
in CT2 the coming expansion, youll see Evasion playing a better part than it does now. a Set of Zubei leather, and a weapon with Evasion effects would likely prove a very good build for a Kamael in a siege - the trouble begins that you wont have the other good bonuses from higher level armors, or better weapon abilities.
overall i'd say if you were to make a Kamael i'd take the SoulBreaker BUT only at SUPER high level (level 78+) where you obtain your Dark Vortex, and Dark Vortex Breaker.
In CT2 once you get high enough you can completely heal your hp and i think cp and mp too, just hope however that you don't face a glad or tyrant or something where as you get TSS or blaster crit right into a 1shot KO. ++ con -int tatto PLZ!!
I personally have a Berserker and I can say it's a mixed bag, kinda like a glass cannon. It has been boosted lately 'cause it was quite weak when it came to play at CT1.
In CT2 the soul usage is totally revamped. You can use skills even without souls, they just get boosted if you spend some souls to use them. There's also the soul bottles which are a savior for getting souls, fast.
Well, gonna see how they turn up to be after CT2 hits the live.
I have a 61 SB and I can tell you I'm really happy with it's perfomance. I have dueled agains gladiators, tyrants, BD's, mages and archers all around my level and it all depends on the strategy to follow. I find mages the easiest to beat (because of shadow bind and voice bind) and the archers just impossible (i only once beat one in open pvp, because i got lucky stun didn't work on me + Sword Shield on). Gladiators and tyrants for example are harder but not impossible. They have strong ranged skills but once again, carrying cp pots and using them wisely helps a lot. The trick is to hit and run. Facing them directly wlil only get your SB killed. Also, geting a OE weapon REALLY helps a lot because of Maximum Ability skill.
Anyway, as you said before, pvp is never predictable, you can just calculate your odds depending on what's your opponent class, playstyle and gear. But I believe a SB is a great character, it is only hard to play right, but once you know your limits, the possibilities you have within those limits are much more than any other character's.
And for the rest of SB's around there, where are you??? VoS should be always full of SB and yet I seem to be the only one there ^^.
I'm also a SB :) But only lvl 46 yet. Never did PvP (on any char :P) but i love this class, no matter what.
Can't wait to become higher and get all the cool skills like shadow bind D:
