jusy wondering why the weapons are so pricy and the guys harder then hell,i cant buy any weapons and cat kill anything and when i do got to kill for exp theres 3-4 enemys to kill and i keep dieing,was this game a waste of money or can some one enlighten me?
There are some quest you can do to get weapon and armor that will take you to D grade without any problem. There are also quest for newbie shots. So there is no problem to get them.
Also you can get buffs from newbie helper.
And if you are trying to kill red mobs, then you are in trouble in the first place. :)
Hello ,first of all i can say this game is worth ur money! Ahm weapons well , from D grade *lvl 20 * weapons and armor starts getting expensive!
Im not sure what lvl u are but if u are 20 or near that lvl try to find a nice Clan thats help u out a bit! Most clans offer the CLAN OATH ARMOR with is D garde and give some low benefits! But IMO 1 of the best D grade armor! Weapon: Shadow weapons FTW and u shoudt have some Shadow Weapon coupons from the newbie guide as well !
Otherwise i can just say : Gracia is incomming! With the new Throne Gracia weapons/armor wil lbe a LOT cheaper ! And u can buy STANDART Items which are basicly the same as normal stuff ! U just cnt enchant,put SA on em , or augmention them! BUT u get a whole TOP D grade equipment for around 150k adena !!! Im not sure when but i think Gracia release might be in 2-3 weeks !
Not sure what more i can tell u since i dunno ur class/lvl etc etc :) But gl and again ^^ Lineage 2 is worth ur money
EDIT : U are right ... woudt be a big mistake if u attack Red mobs ^^ ! In case u dont know , but i think u already noticed: Deep RED = nearly impossible to kill far over ur lvl , light red = killable but not worth mostly , some lvl over ur own lvl , Yellow *some ppl say Gold* = a bit over ur own lvl ... ok to kill in good armor etc etc , WHITE = Matchs ur lvl , good exp and drop ratio , Green = a bit under ur lvl , fast kills and exp are ok mostly , Light blue = far below ur own lvl , not worth killing cause bad exp and lesser drops , Deep Blue = simply ignor em ^^ u much higher then those mobs and they give nearly NO exp and No Drops ! ! ! Kill White or green !!!!

Put shots in your button bar and right-click them. That means you automatically applies the shots to your attack, which in turn means they cause more damage: 100% more for soulshots in melee, 50% more for spirit shots in ranged magic, 100% for blessed spirit shots in ranged magic.
Talk to the newbie guide and do what he tells you. Talk to npcs with an orange exclamation mark above their heads, that means they have some quest for you.
Talk to other players, if you can find, and ask them questions. Maybe there are not too many, because this game is rather old.
Use your newbie travel tokens to move to other newbie towns.
Read the guides in this forum (there is a section), search other newbie posts, google the rest of the internet for information.
IMPORTANT: The game is very big, so general questions like "tell me what to do" are not very helpful. The more specific you are, the better :)

Pro tip: name your server and someone will probably hook you up with some decent gear. Even the most calloused anti-social hate mongers in L2 flinch at the idea of starting this game with nothing and are likely to throw you a bone.

Sadly u cant Restore Shadow items Mana... they run out and then they vanish! The Shadow items mana run out if u wear em .... even when u not hit a MOB ! Even equip unequip use mana ... !So if u stay longer in town or run a player shop take of ur shadow weapon to save Mana!
i have 16,000 soul shots and 1000 spirt shots what do they do and I just bot the game acouple days ago and am still trying to figure out the game

he just BOUGHT the game a couple of days ago. To the OP, what server are you on, there are some nice people out there that will probably hook you up with some d grade stuff, or a clan. Also, careful what you write, people go crazy when they see the b-o-t letters next to each other, no matter what the context.
I wish the worse to anyone that cheats ingame and out.
To me that states lack of moral etc etc.
Utter scrum.
Some goes for folks that use Epo or whatever else when they ride the "Tour de France".
Its even worse when you have to bot to get to lvl 20.. I saw someone at the Dark Elf Village just new since I saw in town started botting on the Imps.. It was really pathetic and also very funny watching it get stuck trying to get to the next imp on its radar :p.

On topic:
1. Yes, everything in this game is pricey. As many will tell you, there are TWO separate "grinds" in the game.
One is the monster-slaying grind standard to any MMO where you kill things to rise in experience level...and then there's the other grind you'll have to perform to make money.
Killing monsters simply will not reward you with enough Adena to buy the stuff you want. Period. Ain't gonna happen.
I suggest familiarizing yourself with the town of Giran, because most of your money will come from "playing the market" there, buying low and selling high, or selling materials you collect from slain monsters.
Also, look up the "manor system" on this forum - it's a decent way to earn materials while you're leveling,s o you can sell them for Adena later. Takes a little research to learn how to use efficiently, though.
2. Mana on shadow weapons decreases until they disappear, with no way to replenish it...but onyl when they're equipped. Un-equip your shadow items when you're just standing around, not using them, because mana does not decrease while they just sit in your inventory.
To make them last as long as possible, un-equip them when you're just doing stuff like running around town, or looking for a new hunting ground, etc.
3. Be smart about what you attack.
Some monsters are passive, and will totally ignore you until you hit them, while some are aggressive and will attack you once you get close enough that they "see" you.
Moreover, some are what's called "social" - if you hit one of their buddies, and they are withing aggro range, they will ALSO attack you, which can make things challenging.
I suspect if you're getting mobbed by 4 enemies at at time, you're just rushing into battle without much of a strategy. Spending a few minutes in new areas to familiarize yourself with the behavior of the monsters will help you learn what to attack, what to ignore, and what to only attack if it's alone, away from other mobs.
4. Whatever server you're on, JOIN A CLAN.
I can't stress that enough. Post in the server's forum on these boards, or port to Giran and just start shouting that you want to join an Academy. Choose a decent clan, and they will be of immeasurable help to you.

Oh and BTW Lineage 2 is probably one of the best MMOs out there, and its very fun. ^^ I keep coming back to it, and I have played a lot of games out there.
wait till this next update comes out, things like leveling, money and gear wont be problems for at least awhile for ya. Standarn items, boosted quest rewards and the vitality system make sure of it.

Once you get to D grade you can buy standard items which are real cheap and just as good as the normal weapons. You just cannot enchant etc. But so what really. This all comes in the new update.

I do get the impression, however, that you don't spend a lot of time on very many forums.
As previously mentioned, quadruple-posting like you did is waaaay bad forum etiquette, sir. It clutters up the boards and destroys the continuity of a thread. Very, very bad form. Very.
Think of posting all those replies in such rapid succession as kinda being like Tourette Syndrome - you just blurt out a bunch of crazy stuff, and everybody points and whispers that you're insane.

I know it's sometimes overwhelming to get the hang of a game that has had as much content added as this game has. But try to use the information here on this website to your advantage. Click the "news" tab on the top/left, then hover over "latest update", you will see all of the "exspansions" added since launch(Hellbound being the most recent). If you click those it will take you to pages with HUGE amounts of info. It will be a lot to take in, but will be a start to answering the many questions you must have.
I STILL use it, as there are many things I still haven't done yet, cough *manor system* cough...

Obviously he hit the B key instead of the G. Even the way the sentence is structured leaves no room for doubt. You're waaaay to ready with the Gestapo whistle.
They don;t actually have "mp potions" which is what I assume you are referring to when you say magic potions. Closest that you will come is to fight mobs in field area's that drop Buff Herbs and grab a MP Herb by chance after the mob dies.
so I am getting the game now,i am level 14 and the one thing that I cant find is where the hell u buy magic potions, I found healing but no magic.
No such thing, unfortunately.
However, once you get into D-grade (level 20), you can start buying "Elixirs of Mental Strength" or something to that effect. They have to be crafted, so you'll be buying them from players, and they come in different grades (D, C, B, A, S).
Keep in mind that you can only use the grade of elixir that corresponds to the equipment grade you're currently qualified for...so as you level up, you'll need to buy the stronger elixirs.
Aside from that, though, you're going to want to spend as much time as possible hunting areas where herbs drop, so you can keep your MP up as much as possible.
Also, hunting alongside a class like Elven Oracle (Elven Elder) may help, since they can use Recharge on you.
Yea the timer is a pain, but tell you what. During a raid when the other healer is a total ******, who goes afk right when the raid starts those pots come in VERY handy.
During a raid you can go through 2 or 3 even with the timer. A few hundred MP has literally made the difference on some raids.

Yeah, that only works for No-Grade gear.
Although *technically*, you can upgrade D-Grade and C-Grade (and B-Grade in Gracia?) weapons at the Blacksmith of Mammon by paying in Ancient Adena. Learn to love the Catacombs & Necropoleis, and you may be able to use this feature to save yourself some pretty decent cash.
